Tenebrae took a deep breath to regain his composure because nothing good can come of threatening your boss with a centrifuge and a melting point apparatus.
"Alden, I tell them, you just don't provide pictures. If you would like me to destroy them, Ampere hasn't had anything approaching a good battle lately but you may want me on damage control, we're going to need to move this base to another location and the logistics are going to be a nightmare. Thanks to this fiasco, those children have cost me a valuable lead on the location of Kyurem."

Dr. Tenebrae kept a perfectly level expression as he responded to Alden and typed orders. "Ah yes, while you were watching something sleep Kyurem came to visit the boy named Apollo. He was the boy with the unusual bangs and a strong resemblance to the girl with Dialga. Thanks to the efforts of Nick he is unwittingly carrying a tracker inside a rare candy that was supposed to be eaten by Kyurem. Chances are if we follow him, we will find Kyurem. The other tracker was, for unknown reasons at the time, given to a girl's Magikarp." Tenebrae had made a note to follow the girl for a lead too since there seemed to be a method to Nick's madness. "We have done a background check for information about the boy, he seems to be descended from a line of dragon trainers known to have an odd kinship with them and he may provide leads to finding other powerful dragons. An email was sent with his full background check. The Magikarp girl named Nancy is a mediocre trainer who aspires to be a detective and has a history with Nick. Her brother is Kujo Anderson, the one who stole the scroll from us?" Tenebrae felt that if he followed the sister, they'd find the brother soon enough. He was unsure how important this information was.

You do remember me! Do take care gentleman and ladies, this isn't the last you've seen of the Adversary. I must return to the Seeker and see if he's recovered. We ran into Nick earlier when trying to infiltrate. said K15 before leaving.

May trailed along behind the crew and chattered happily. "Yay! We can be the best of friends! We'll have lots of fun and save the world and find my family and Neku's family and be heroes and make more friends and..."

"Nick is the boy that vanished just now." Tenebrae said loudly as Adler flew off.

At the pokemon center May and Rainbow Sparkles Buttercup Rose etc. (The Ponyta) bounded back and forth in front of the building while waiting for the party's next decision. It had been an adventure staying there that night and she wondered how they were going to take down a criminal organization. The little girl laughed as she tried to race Lily Sparkles Fairy Rose Rainbow.

She looked curiously at the brown haired girl in a trench coat who was sitting on the bench out front reading something on her computer. A combusken sat next to her enjoying the sunshine and keeping a careful eye on the togepi in between him and his trainer.

She looks like she's up to something... I wonder if she's a spy or something? May thought and stared at Nancy.


Nancy was reading her emails and checking maps one last time before leaving. She'd woken up early thanks to falling asleep so early and had been called by her parents again. Nancy remained steadfast in her decicsion to stay in Gaia for now. She'd already started the Gym circuit so planned on completing it at the same time as she put her search into action. She had six more badges to go. Nancy did go ahead and ask for a favor from her parents since they were in Kanto...

Nancy closed her computer and picked up her transciever again. There was just one more call to make. She had no idea how to properly train a Deino and she knew just who to call.

Why had the internet failed her? It had the helpful things mixed in with useless and sometimes outright false facts. Magikarp were widely known to evolve into Gyrados and though only 95% of trainers who started training one had managed to evolve a magikarp, they were not blind nor as violent as Deino and much more common. The search had proven that many Deino took years to evolve into a Zweilous and some people had said it took them upwards of ten years to evolve their Deino into a Hydregion. Some news articles were present about how trainers had utterly lost control once their little Deino became a Zweilous. The more successful people were a little tight lipped on how they'd done it faster and one person outright said they'd used as many rare candies as they could find, all 5 of them.


Lucina's X-transciever rang.

"Oh! You're still in town! I was going to ask about how to train Clouseau and if you guys had any luck with finding those creeps." Nancy opened up her word processor, she'd already typed up a report for the police of how she and Claves had found the entrance of the hideout well guarded. The wording was incredibly dry and she'd downplayed just how much Claves and her had done since they were not members of any official police organizations. "I want to know if you guys found anything you want to add to this report too while I'm at it." Marple happily greeted Lucina and nearly fell of the bench reaching toward May. Emerson had to quickly grab her and set her on the grass.

May and Rainbow Sparkles Buttercup Daisy Magnifica realized that Lucina seemed to be friends with the girl on the bench and stopped to listen. Naturally listening meant asking a lot of questions. "It was sunny out and I wanted to play and brush Rainbow Sparkle Rhododendron... um, I forget the rest. Are you friends? I'm May! Who is this? What are you doing? What's that say?"

"Uh, I'm Nancy and um... could you say that again?"

May wasn't paying any more attention, there was a togepi to play with.

The report read:
2:41 PM Found out was being followed by member of Team Gamma which was on rooftop. Claves with help of a gengar captured him. Brought follower to station then had my herdier track scent to entrance of a hideout with intention to inform police of exact location. Encountered guards, forced to retreat. Map attached.

(New region with new pokemon but the most exciting part is how you can have a seat on a bench?: )

"I'm Nancy Anderson. Me and Lucina have met before, she's really popular with my Deino, Clouseau. The internet wasn't much help, most of the good tips were just common sense for training a Deino." Nancy said as she let Clouseau out to say hello. Nancy held her hands above the keys ready to put useful stuff into writing. "Surprised you don't remember me from yesterday with the Kyurem... Maze noted. Got any names for me too?" Nancy ducked behind the screen to hide her embarrassment at the memory of finding Nick working for Team Gamma at the boardwalk. It must have been half the population of Luna staring at the Kyurem with the other half staring at her being so angry she could barely see straight. Nick had just mocked her too.

Clouseau was thrilled to smell and hear the person who smelled like dragons and gave him food again. His tail instantly sped up and he carefully tried to find his way to her feet without knocking anyone over. "Dei! Nodeinodeino! Deino..." The deino drooped in disappointment that he'd failed to bite Nick. He wished he were a big powerful pokemon that could just strike fear into anything and face down a metagross with ease. Emerson knew what the Deino felt.

"Combusken..." Clouseau sniffed the air and clambered over to see Apollo. Two people who smelled like dragons? Maybe he'd get even more food. The hatching egg fascinated him, he'd never smelled anything like it before and Nancy put a hand on Clouseau's head because it looked like he was about to chomp down on it to see what it tasted like.


May was charmed by the little togepi and plucked a daisy to wave around above Marple's head.

*It's you again! We went to their base and I was happy because I was going to get to bite the people who made my trainer cry! I got to bite a pidgeotto and the feathers tasted funny. I didn't get to bite the meanie though, he cheated..."
"We all failed to get him."

"You ran into Nick again!?" The answer would have to wait however since the egg was hatching.

"Oh he's so adorable!" Nancy said and set aside the computer she had been typing on. Clouseau stopped trying to taste the egg since it had now hatched and he smelled a dragon.

"Deino deino." Clouseau snickered. Marple made happy little noises and ran to meet the other baby pokemon with May not too far behind.

"I wanna pet Haxy! You should name it Greenie or Sparkles or maybe Harvey or you could name him Pudding!" Rainbow Sparkles Desert Rose gave her trainer an affectionate yet very longsuffering look.




*"He called you mama."

"I keep snacks for my pokemon. Want berries or rice or apple slices or what?" Nancy happily asked pulling packages and containers out of her bag. She figured they must have been planning to restock supplies for the road before setting out and just hadn't gotten a chance yet. A plastic cup with a lid held berries she'd picked on the way and others held oatmeal, birdseed, rice, jerky, and dried fruits. One bag had bottles of various spices and a massive bottle of Tabasco.

This turned out to be a mistake, Clouseau smelled the jerky and quickly nabbed the bag of meat before retreating behind the bench. "...Hope Haxy didn't want beef. Why can't he move that fast in battle?" Nancy tried to sound mad at Clouseau but failed. You didn't need to translate what Clouseau was saying to tell he was singing praises to the inventor of beef jerky. Nancy opened the dried strawberries for the Axew to smell, they didn't know yet if he liked sweet, sour, bitter, or savory foods. Upon seeing May looking at the strawberries hungrily Nancy motioned for her to take a few slices too.
