AUGH she hated this jacking booth.
WHY did she wander too close again?
WHY was she stuck with an obnoxiously overly-energetic lizard thing?
WHY were these cuffs enchanted.

WHY-
She didn't have time to question why life hated her as the lizard dragged her around the booth, the lizard she had won before happily bounding after the duo.

Ragnorak punched in his number and told her his. He was good at getting things, that was for sure. "Thanks, sparky. I've always been fond of Floral Scents and Venus Flycats. I use to have a few back home." She let her mind drift back to home...or what was left of it.

She took out a few silver seeds, "That do you sparky?"

He didn't want to talk about it, so she was going to bring it up anyways. That's what friends were for right?

"So is this about that Olivia chick?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Sure sure." he took the seeds and they vanished into his pockets. And he lefts here comments about home well enough alone, he'd find out eventually, when she was off guard.

Though he liked the ghoul well enough he didn't consider her a friend, more like a business associate. One he could hang out with a little. So when she mentioned the other ghoul's name, he just scowled at her. How had she heard about that?

"Take a hint and drop it for Jack's sake." he did not want to talk about it. He glared at the ground, tail now burning with agitation, or was that embarrassment. "Let's just go do the stupid races." anything to get her to leave him alone.

Nobody had told Jordan not to get too close to this particular booth. Clearly this was a mistake. "What the - so this is where you guys come from," he said to the mini occupying the other half of the handcuffs. The lizardlike little thing blinked at him and wriggled, clearly excited about the prospect of a race.

Jordan wasn't anywhere near as excited about racing. He might be doing better on balancing now, but it was still awkward to run like this. Predictably, he managed to trip and faceplant on the final lap of the race. "Nothing injured except my dignity," he said to the mini as he picked himself up.

It peeped at him and dragged its half of the cuff off to take another nap when it was released.

Escaping the booth proved trickier than expected - another cuff clipped itself onto his wrist before he'd gotten out of the vicinity, and he had to run another race before he could get away sans handcuffs. He supposed he could have just walked off with the handcuff and mini in tow, but then he ran the risk of running into the guys while handcuffed to a minipet ... yeah, no.

He didn't fall over this time, but neither did he win. This time, when the cuff unclipped itself, he headed away from the booth as fast as he could.

Maybe that run was just bad chemistry? Id held out her arm for another cuff.

This beebs was much faster...what did they feed this guy?...and he fairly dragged Id across the finish line before wandering off for a snack.

Seeing the crestfallen look her own Beebs wore the ghoul let herself get caught again. Poor thing looked heartbroken that she didn't do better.

Unfortunately the other pair were better even if the student run well. So she patiently explained to her pet that she would have surely won had she been handcuffed to him. It seemed to do the trick since the lil cutie perked up.
