DaemonGabrielle Pelagious grinned, wagging his fingers at Kleta. "They would be around your feet and flap their wings in unison. They are chickens, after all!" he said, laughing to himself.
"What do you think?" he asked, hoping for another of her 'famous' one liners. Kleta still didn't understand why this was a chicken dance if there were no chickens, he didn't even look like a chicken. She still wasn't sure what she had thought of his chicken dance, these mortals sure had some strange ways of dancing, if that could be called a dance. "Is this a famous dance with your kind?" she chose to ask instead of commenting on what she thought of it, it was too difficult to judge something so strange.

Okay, next round, foxtrot, here we go. Artemis was expecting good things, especially given the name of the dance, but the Goddess of the Hunt was to be disappointed overall. It seemed this dance gave the contestants more trouble than the previous two.

By the gods and goddesses all... "Venus, there's something wrong with your boy," Artemis snapped under her breath, glaring at the other end of the table, but unsure the Goddess of Love would even hear her. She probably could have yelled it at the top of her voice, and Venus would never have heard it. Artemis tried to turn her attention back to the dance floor, but couldn't stand to watch for more than a few seconds. "This is horrible," she muttered, crumpling up one of her scorecards and throwing it at Eros. Shooting him was more tempting, but would likely be more deadly. Venus wouldn't appreciate that at all. Whoops. In shuffling through her cards, she must have thrown the 1 at him already...fine, next best thing. Dropping her head down on her arm on the table, she held up a 2 for Eros and Diona, hoping for all their sake's that this ended soon.

Ooh, ouch, that looked like it hurt. With a sympathetic cringe, Artemis watched Himeros climb to his feet. After a fall like that, she wasn't exactly expecting a stellar performance. However, following the incident, the pair seemed to pull together without letting it affect the rest of their performance adversely. Impressive. "A rough start," she acknowledged, "but, you persevered in spite of it. I have to dock some points for the fall, but the rest of the dance was upbeat and uplifting. Good job pulling together," she nodded, holding up a 6 for Himeros and Lemon Hearts.

The colorful Fae seemed to not let a thing get her down, even her distracted, mopey partner. Still, she couldn't do all the work alone; this was a partnership effort. "Pothos, you have to start paying attention again to your partner! You both started out so well, but now it's like you're somewhere else. Prisma can't do this by herself, she needs you working with her," Artemis berated. Never mind that they weren't really doing the correct dances at this point anyway. Either way, she held up a 2 for Pothos and Prisma this round.

Another middling performance. Ugh, Artemis was running out of things to say. If it wasn't spectacularly bad, or spectacularly good, uh...how many times could one say 'not bad, but keep working on it?' Whatever the number was, she thought she was getting close. "Err..." still trying to think of something to say, she held up a 6 for Dylo and Iris Topaz, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "That was....good. Um...maybe...with a little more feeling next time?" she added, hesitantly.

"Bravo!" Artemis applauded. Finally, someone knew how to do a good foxtrot! They had the important steps, anyway, and at this point, the deity would settle for someone understanding the basics, rather than trying to throw in flourishes in a dance they didn't even understand. "Good synchronization, light steps, sensual movements...wonderful, a pleasure to watch," she beamed, holding up a 10 for Iordanes and Serendipity.

Well, Trixie seemed to be enjoying herself this round; or at least showed some skill with the foxtrot, which said more than most of the contestants. But the pair just wasn't working for Artemis. This time it was Hymnaios that got an odd look. Normally so boisterous, but coordinated, she wondered exactly what had happened to the couple this round. "I'm sorry, but, it just feels like you two have lost your magic," she admitted with a sigh and a shrug, holding up a 2 for Hymnaios and Trixie.

The Fae seemed a bit unsure with this dance, but with some prompting from the Grace, they pulled together an average performance. Artemis leaned forwards, chin resting on the back of her interlocked fingers. "It was obvious that you weren't familiar with the dance, this time, however...you picked up prompts from your partner readily, then took the reigns when feeling more sure of yourself. Points for effort and quick pick-up, if not technique," she said, holding up a 6 for Thalia and Seiya.

Still not amused by the cross-dressing male, even Artemis was starting to warm up to the pair's antics. Only slightly. She shook her head, no idea what....whatever it was they were doing...was supposed to have to do with the foxtrot. "I'm...not entirely sure what that was, but...I suppose you were synchronized in whatever it was you were doing," she accented, holding up a 5 for Kleta and Pelagios. Maybe it wasn't fair for her to keep being prejudiced against the couple for the male's odd dressing preference. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be an insult afterall. Maybe.

Hmm...well, Euphrosyne was dancing much more like herself. Perhaps it had been nerves? For a Grace? Odd, but perhaps possible. The Grace was true to her name now...though, her partner...well, the same couldn't be said for the angel. "Alright, much better, Euphrosyne. However, I think you might have already traumatized your partner in the last two rounds. Blizz? You'll be alright there, yes?" she asked waving her free hand in the angel's face as she held up a 3 for Euphrosyne and Blizz with a frown.

Holding out his hands, he waited for Kleta to approach.

Okay, that was a close one, but they were still in this! Himeros flashed Lemon Hearts a warm smile, whispering, "Don't count us out yet!" Hearing the choice for the next dance, Himeros practically whooped in joy. Tango! Now, this was his round! "Wait right here," he whispered, winking at the Fauny before dashing off.
He returned before their time to hit the floor, a red rose in hand. Grinning, he grabbed her hand and pulled her close. "Tango...a dance of passion. Desire. Let the emotion fill you, take over, then let it show in your dance." As the music started, he took the stem of the rose between his teeth, winked at his partner, then took up the proper pose, one arm out straight, clasping her hand, the other wrapped around her, holding their bodies tightly together. And off they tangoed onto the dance floor.

Tango? Hmm...something more classical yes, but it wasn't a dance he had much experience with. Willing the stars to guide his feet, he turned to his partner and bowed. "Off we go, fair Thalia."
As the music started up, the pair launched into the broad, sideways strides that marked the tango. The pair kept close together, a whirl of blue, sparkling stars when they spun and changed direction. He didn't feel inclined to complicate things too much with fancy extra moves, but he did pause and dip his partner with a smile at the height of the music.

The intimate nature of the dance had Pothos more than a little uneasy; well, in comparison to the previous dances. Ugh, this was more his twin's sort of dance. In fact, as he looked across the room watching the couple before them, it seemed Himeros was eagerly letting loose during this round, complete with a red rose in his teeth.
Pothos sighed, resigning himself to the fact that he had to at least put some effort into this, for Prisma's sake. He felt bad, considering how enthusiastic the young lady was about dancing. Poor thing was stuck with him as a partner. He couldn't help but feel that he was dragging her down, despite her seemingly endless supply of enthusiasm.
Though...the longer they lasted in the competition, the longer he got to put off dealing with the surprise offspring waiting on the sidelines. Hmm...he'd have to keep trying. "Shall we?" he offered Prisma his hand. She was a very nice lady afterall.

Holding out his hands, he waited for Kleta to approach. Kleta was in some sort of amazement, somehow they had been the top for the foxtrot. There dance must have been so entertaining... and surprising, he had done that lift after all. "It appears that we danced famously," Kleta smiled, happy for the recognition at being at the top for one of the dances. Even that might help some of the viewers to take notice of her. With that her spirits were lifted, she had let Pelagious take over the dancing and they had done a lot better off, perhaps she should do that more. Kleta walked over to Pelagious her hand outstretched gracefully until it was in his, "It seems I have you to thank for our success in that last round, what would you like to do for the tango?"
