He loves stories and you would sooner find him curled up with a book than outside playing. His only real friends, his family aside, are Rabbit and Butter, his two bread and butterflies. He is gentle and loving, would easily help a person out. Chessur loves chess, the game, though he will only play as the black pieces. He is highly intelligent, and tactically amazing. He is a bit of a nerd however and sometimes literal things go over his head. Flirting with him is completely out of the question as he simply won't know what to make of it. He is utterly devoted to his sister, and spoils her rotten. He is extremely tolerant of what she puts him through. He is mostly polite, with a feisty vigor about him. He has a temper and anyone that dares insult his family is going to feel it. He has a protective nature and thinks girls are pretty much hopeless. Unless it's his mom, she is absolutely amazing. He looks up to and admires his father. Despite being a child of Death he isn't some crazy blood thirsty monster. Tend to one you wouldn't even know he was a reaper unless he told you so. He likes tea, and wants to make sure he makes his mommy proud. So instead of beating everyone up like he could he tends to just walk away. He finds the forest a calming place to help ease his inner turmoil when he gets angry. He is a rich kid, who seems to always get what he wants, and is overly worried about his appearance. He doesn't like getting dirty in the least. Lording over people appears to be something he is good at and he could honestly probably use a good knocking on his arse. However he isn't all that he appears, he is a fearful, timid, scared, and sorrowful little thing on the inside. A child abused into what he is today. He has the scars to prove it though you would never be allowed to see them. He is amazing with a blade, bow and other such weapons. Even rather accurate with a gun, though he doesn't prefer them. A secret love of his is to read, and sometimes if you are lucky you can find him reading in the garden. When asked why he has no interest in a love life he harps on keeping his purity and virtue intact. Though he always fails to mention why it must stay that way. Wanting a lover about as much as one wants hepatitis. ♛ This is who I am. ♛ ♝ Actions speak louder than words. ♝ ✖ Curse is a curious conundrum of devilry, tricks, masks, and wordplay all tied up with a pretty enigma bow. He slips in and out of his different ‘faces’ like a chameleon, picking whichever seems best suited for the moment. It’s hard to tell just who Curse truly is anymore, though if one were to speak with Book, his tail, they might be given an insight. Cruse above all else is a guarded individual, and whichever farce he picks up is usually the one deemed most likely to keep you at arm’s length. He doesn’t have time for this close business, the only people he needs in his life he has. Spell, Book, and Tail are the three ‘people’ closest to him and he would go to great lengths to keep them from harm. Everyone else can just ******** right off; he doesn’t have the care to spend on you.
He has work and lots of it. The former Prince, turned Rogue, turned underground high lord has more complexities than one might care to shake a stick at. Curse has a suspicious ability to weasel his way in and out of such precariously sticky positions it’s often times amazing. One is left wondering at how it all came to pass and generally the first conclusion is wrong. He loves traps, tricks, puzzles and other such things that keep him mentally challenged. Curse has a wickedly bad habit of pushing someone’s buttons just to see the reaction.
If someone actually managed to weasel squirm past all his barriers they would find a curious individual beneath. Curse will always be playful, but he is also a loving sort for those that manage to worm their way into his heart. While his tricks, games, and traps have been known to be deadly to the outside world. They are generally good natured, and amusing with friends. He is wickedly intelligent, with a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue. He loves good conversation, and debate is one of his favorite. He easily laughs at himself, and for someone that wears so many disguises. Curse is extremely comfortable in his own skin, or so it seems.
Even sunny skies have their clouds however. There are days, dark, lonely, cruel days that seem to sink him into a plummeting sort of spiraling depression. He tends to lock himself away on these days, spending most of it with Book if at all possible. If forced out he rarely speaks, and if he does his tone is measured. When stuck with Spell, he spends most of the day quietly sitting with the other. Nonverbal cues and touch tend to become his preferred method of ‘communication’.
These bouts rarely last more than a few days at most. He bounces back rather quickly, though one is left to wonder if he ever truly breaks free of it. Or if he is just slipping into yet one more mask.
He has an abundant love of music and dance. With a general lack of regard to 'self preservation' as it were. ♝ My very best friend... ♝ ✖ Book by comparison rarely talks. Unless it's to someone he truly trusts or in a dire situation. If you do manage to get him to speak however he is polite. Civil, if a bit condescending at times. He seems like an old alpha chiding young pups most of the time. He however is still an extremely gentle person when it comes to those he cares about. He is a completely separate entity from Curse. He is kind, open, respectful, and gentle with everyone he meets. You don't have to build up his trust, you have it as soon as he meets you. You can however lose it over time. He works at a rehabilitation center, but volunteers at the homeless shelters, food kitchens, animal shelters, his church, and his school. He has also been found in the children's hospital when he has a few spare moments. He stands firm for what he believes in, even if he lacks the physical power to actually fight. That aside he doesn't give up, even when all hope seems lost he still finds a way to keep on pushing. He's always looking forward, never backwards, and is a generally positive fellow. Every saint has their breaking point however, and Kushiel is no different. Though he rarely shows it sometimes things get to him. He doesn't want to be a burden so he hides himself away during the really bad stages.
Living your life for others is actually quite the lonely existence, Kushiel has come to find. He is often left feeling quiet alone during the moments he has to himself. Which might be why he keeps himself so busy. It's hard to tell which came first, if he started working so much because he was lonely or if he is lonely because he is working too much.
Kushiel is also slightly timid, due to several years and instances in his life, he will flinch if a hand is raised at him. Even if it isn't to strike him, his body noticeably tenses and he flinches back. However he will not move from his position. He won't take a step back but rather stand firmly in place. Over the years he has gotten better at keeping this reaction to a minimal.
That being said he is also a lover of life, beauty, and fun. He will however openly insert himself into danger to protect someone else. He can't stand bullying, name calling, or other cruel actions. Even if he knows he can't really do much else other than growl at the offending person. He wants to help and very little will stop him, even physical harm. He has a relatively high pain tolerance, which tends to land him in hot water from time to time. Kushiel tends to not realize just how bad an injury is until someone else points it out. ♝ My very best friend... ♝ ✖ Familiar Personality ♝ What are you hiding? ♝ ✖ His history is lonnnng and detailed. She will give you the clothes off her back if she thinks it will help. Razzle loves fashion, it's her life, her true calling, and something she spends a great deal of time doing. She makes clothes for a living, is a fashion designer, and often uses Cora as her real live doll. She really just loves to have fun, going out and doing is something she enjoys greatly. She could never stay just cooped up in the house. Miss Dazzle is a lover of the fine feminine from, and if you look good she will tell you so. Don't take this out of context however, her heart belongs to Cora, and Cora alone. Trying to pursue her for more will end up with you hurt, assuming you don't take the first no for an answer.
