The thief gulped as he shrugged quickly out of the jacket. "I don't have the other crap; the a*****e that helped me ripped me off," he sneered.

The thief exhaled raggedly. "That's the problem, I don't know where the a*****e is; make no doubt, given the chance, I'll be more than glad to shove a live grenade down his throat, he growled.

Rebecca smiled a little. "Most people are fools like that." She could here Storm saying something in the back of her mind and when she focused she just shook her head. The woman took every little thing that Michael said as if he was speaking about Rebecca herself. "My Father told me a long time ago that sometimes the things that are most beautiful, that look the most innocent, are often the most dangerous. You can never underestimate anything."

Michael Callaway Michael chuckled. "That could describe quite a few people, including you and Ororo... I have no doubt that Jean had a temper, though the comics never actually came out and said it short of her 'Dark Phoenix' side," he said with amusement. He frowned slightly as he heard a rumbling before his eyes widened as a log roughly three and a half feet in diameter bounced end over end at them before his eyes narrowed, the deep emerald green shifting to a brilliant silver. His hand rose off of the throttle as he hit the brakes, shifting so the bike skidded onto its front tire. His hand flashed out as a silver disc shot from it, spinning rapidly before it sheared through the wood and detonated, blowing it into small splinters as the chunk closer to the road skidded into the ditch on the side of the road as he let his rear tire drop to the road seconds before the other half flew end over end, flying over their heads by several inches before it hit and rolled along the road. There was a curving chunk of metal that shielded the front of the bike as well as their heads, though he knew it would startle Rebecca.OOC:

"Ha, told you so," Storm said smugly before everything seemed to go haywire. Rebecca's eyes widened when she saw the log coming at them. Before she could even react Michael was already in action. They were up on the front tire as he shot a dis at the log, exploding it. As they came back down to the ground Rebecca realized that a piece of metal shielded the front of the bike and just over their heads. Rebecca's heart pounded as she looked over at where the log had rolled. "Oh my god," she laughed shakily. "That was some, ah, fast reflexes."

Michael Callaway Michael focused as the shield retracted, melding back into the pores of his forearm before he exhaled slowly. "Heard a metallic twang and thought it was a bowstring, but then I noticed an odd shift in the light before we came around the turn and spotted the log," he said quietly. He slowly started to pull away when he noticed the logging truck had fishtailed and was unfortunately blocking the road. His eyes narrowed as his silver-on-black eyes narrowed. "Hang on tight!!" he said loudly as he accelerated fast towards one of the logs that was hanging off the side of the truck at a forty five degree angle almost as if it were a ramp.OOC: If you've played the Prototype games, the way the barrier came out of his arm is similar to the way the 'Shield' in that comes out.

"Good thing you did or we would be mush," Rebecca said with a chuckle. As they rounded the corner she saw the truck that the log had come from. It was blocking the road. She opened her mouth, about to ask if there was another way around, when Michael yelled for her to hold on tight. Rebecca saw him going towards a log and she knew what he was going to do. She held onto him a little tighter, a grin on her face. This was definitely going to be fun.

Michael Callaway Michael smiled slightly. "That's one of the best things about Parkour. You grow keenly aware of yourself and your surroundings," he said with amusement as they hit the end of the log and sped up it before arcing over the back of the truck as they shot off the other end. OOC:

Rebecca laughed with delight as they soared through the air. She hadn't laughed like that since her sister died. She had always taken things so seriously since then. It was almost as fun as being able to fly high above everything else. She could actually get used to riding one of these.

Michael Callaway Michael tilted his head as he leaned the front end down slightly so that they landed first on the rear tire, then the front with only a little bump in between. It was obvious to him that she didn't laugh very often. OOC:

Kaosujin Ryu got a new one up in the Horror/mystery forum..it's another 1x1...it's under construction but the plot is up Rebecca's face still had a big grin on it as they landed on the pavement with barely a bump. She looked around them with excitement, enjoying herself quite a bit. It surprised her greatly, but she figured she would just roll with it. "See, having fun isn't so bad." Storm said smugly. "You need to hang out with this one more often." Rebecca chuckled softly. "Maybe you're right. This is the most fun I have had in a long time. And to think all we are doing is riding a bike."

Michael Callaway Michael shifted subtly on the bike as he accelerated and headed onward. Ten minutes later they heard the grumbling growl of the airboat again as he turned onto a dirt driveway where five different cars sat, two looked fairly weathered while one was brand new and the other two looked somewhat dulled from use. "This is it," he said as a tall Cajun with a mustache grinned as he stood on the front porch. "Though'cha wouln' make it, Mike," he said with a strong Cajun accent. "An' miss yer food? Doubtful, seein' as pr'bably a few o' the gators in that jambalaya were ones we caught," Michael shot back, mirroring the other man's accent perfectly as he slowed down before braking to a stop. He tilted his head as the tall weathered man with dirty blond hair and a ponytail walked up the nearby dock from the bayou alongside a young man with a crew cut. Alede OOC: Very interesting looking roleplay.

Kaosujin Ryu I have some of the weirdest dreams.... Rebecca grinned a little as she listened to the two of them talk. After Michael had brought the bike to a step she slowly got off the bike and took the helmet from her head, shaking her long red hair out. She glanced over her shoulder to see two other men coming up from the nearby dock before looking back over at Michael. It was always awkward meeting new people. Rebecca just stood there as she waited for him to get off the bike and introduce her to his friends.

Michael Callaway Michael chuckled as he swung his leg over the bike. "RJ," he said, greeting the man with the ponytail. "Friend of yours?" the Native American said idly. "Rebecca's a friend of mine, and is kinda like me," Michael said with a slight shrug. "What, she hunts gators too?" the crew cut guy said. "She hunts criminals, Jay, and she's damn skilled at it," he said while rolling his eyes. Michael tilted his head at the man on the porch. "That's Troy Landry. He's one of the top gator hunters around," Michael said with amusement. Troy snorted on a chuckle before he shrugged as if the praise meant little to him. "You gonna tell me how you were able to kill that gator a few days 'go with yer bare hands?" Troy said thoughtfully. Michael shrugged. "Two things: physical strength and a Cajun's luck," he said wryly. He heard Remy laugh in his mind as Logan snorted a chuckle. Alede OOC: I can't really comment; some of the stories I've written came out of my dreams... which personally I think Freddy Krueger would s**t himself if he saw 'em... sweatdrop
