~~Dr. Elizabeth Sadenes~~ "Crewman, I donβt care if youβre god-damned President, this is MY Sickbay, and God Himself can wait like everyone else."
She chuckled as the device began to glow a light blue.
"I told you, this one is painless."
She began running the light over the cuts, the cuts actually healing themselves, closing up. There was absolutely no feeling involved.
"The light delivers an anesthetic to numb the nerves, allowing the platelets to speed up the healing process without causing pain."

"Oh, sorry. I didn't realize that was the dermal regenerator." she said, hoping she hadn't messed up the name of the device. She had been listening the best she could to try to understand what the doc was doing to help her out, but she knew nothing about these advanced technologies the doc was using. She knew how to take care of basic injuries, but this stuff was way out of her league. She watched as Doctor Sadenes ran the light over her feet, her eyes widening slightly as the cuts simply disappeared before her eyes. "Wow. That's crazy." she commented after the doc had explained how the device worked. "The technology on this ship is unbelievable." she added, looking away from her feet and up at the doctor. She was sure she hadn't even seen anywhere near the extent of the technology yet, but she was definitely amazed thus far.

She laughed as she finished.
"Dear, you haven't seen anything yet. Go ask Celdor to demonstrate his skills. That'll blow you mind."
She placed the regenerator on the tray and smiled.
"Well, that's about it, unless there's anything else?"

"Celdor? Who's he? Because I'm increasingly curious about all of this technology and well.. this whole ship in general." she said with a grin. She was extremely curious about everything. She wanted to know how it worked and why it worked. She didn't want to overwhelm the woman with questions however, so she didn't ask all about the dermal regenerator like she had wanted to. Instead she'd explore on her own. Rose wiggled her toes to test how they felt as the doc put away the tool, asking her if there was anything else. She shrugged her shoulders, running a hand through her hair. "Um, I'm pretty sure that's it. I was just concerned about this and radiation, but you said that wasn't a concern right now. So, um, I think I'm good. Thank you so much for all your help." she said with a smile, stepping down gingerly from the table to avoid the pain of jumping down again. She grabbed her crutches and positioned them under her arms, swinging her body back and forth between them once or twice, grinning. "Where should I hobble off to now?" she asked with a short laugh, her grin spreading across her face.

"He's the white-haired man in golden armor. You can;t miss him. He kind of sticks out like a sore thumb."
She looked over at the padd, but Rose's medical file was still there.
"The Captain is still with the last individual. So you'll have to wait for her to finish."

A look of recognition came over Rose's face when Doctor Sadenes described Celdor. She'd definitely seen him before. "Oh, he was there when we were all being transported aboard." she said gently, making a mental note to try to find him again sometime and ask about his technology. She wanted to understand how this ship worked, or at least parts of it. Rose's eyes followed the doc's as she looked over at her padd, then looked back at her. "Oh, alright, should I wait here? I don't want to be a bother or keep you from other patients. I could help out while I wait?" she said with a soft smile, glancing around the sickbay, then back at the doc. She knew she probably wouldn't be a whole lot of help hobbling around on crutches, but she felt the need to do something to repay this woman for her help and kindness.

Sadenes made a shooing motion.
"Oh, hobble off somewhere, dear. If you want to find Celdor, he's in the Gym. Deck Ten, to be exact. When yo get off the lift, go toward the rear of the ship. It's marked. The last door is the gym. He should be in there."

Rose grinned slightly when the doc shooed her. She had a feeling that she did that a lot. She listened to the doctor's instructions, but as she was getting up and adjusting her crutches, the information on Doctor Sadenes padd changed. It was obvious that meant it was Rose's turn with the captain. She felt almost a little nervous, curious to meet this woman. She'd already been told earlier by Serena that this woman had the same type of eyes that she did and that made her oh so curious. "Thanks again for your help Doctor." she said with a smile and a small wave, stepping back into the lift to make her way to the captain.

Amarissa Amarissa stepped in, feeling all the world like a child intruding on an adult. She had needed, along the way, to ask for directions, but eventually found her way. "Excuse me? I was told I needed to get checked up?"

Sadenes had been finishing up a report when the woman walked in.
"You must be a newcomer. You're not in a uniform, so I guess I haven't seen you yet."
She picked up a padd and went over to her.
"May I please have your name, birthdate, and any allergies you might have?"

Amarissa Amarissa started at both the kindness and pointedness of the woman, slightly relieved she had someone that seemed fairly comfortable to be around besides her own. "Amarissa King, 16th of June 1984, and none that I'm aware of," she answered automatically, reciting them as if she had to everyday of her life.

Amarissa Amarissa beamed at the compliment, not caring if she seemed like a puppy getting rewarded. "Thank you," she said. At the mention of the cigarettes, she fiercely shook her head. "Absolutely not. I'd prefer not to be preserving my body while I'm alive."

She gave Amariss a warm smile.
"Well, I'm proud of you. It's a nasty habit."
She entered the information in and looked back up.
"Is there anything you wish to bring to my attention? Any medical issues or needs?"

Amarissa Amarissa couldn't help but smile again at her praise. It was just so easy. She paused at the question, debating whether not having eaten as much because she was giving food away counted as an issue and decided it didn't. "I mean, aside from the usual cuts and bruises, nothing that I'm aware of. I tend not to notice these things though..."
