Jaromila smiled softly, wondering if it could be something about their emotions.
"I wonder if it has anything to do with what she told me while you were grazing a bit ago. She told me something about how you and I are a different kind of best friends than you and she is,"Mila suddenly remembered.

Haides shrugged. "You'd have to ask her. I don't understand things like that unless she explains them to me." He thought about what Jaromila said a little more before continuing. "But... that doesn't sound wrong. You two are different types of best friend. ...Even if only because you two use different means of communicating with me." The colt looked at Jaromila, his expression even more peaceful than his usual calm. "You're the only one who I feel comfortable talking to verbally... and Beta is the only one who hears me speaking silently."

Jaromila looked out to the lake for a moment and thought about his words. The way he said it made sense to her and she nodded her head softly to that.
"Yes, I can understand how you communicate differently with us, Haides. She knows you in a way I do not, so knows what you have on the inside. I use my wisdom to help you speak to me with words,"Mila agreed.

"... It's not just you're wisdom." Haides let his gaze follow hers to the lake. "I've met wise Azrien before. They tried to get me to talk. I probably said three words. After a while, Beta came over and translated. With you... I don't feel the need to let her speak for me. The words... just flow out." It was so natural, so easy.

Jaromila wasn't sure what to say, since she didn't know how she did it.
"I must admit, I am very confused, I thought it was my wisdom that helped me get you to speak. I am not quite sure why with me words just come so easily then,"Mila confessed, looking back at him with a confused look.

"It might've been part of it, but it's not the complete reason." Haides looked over his shoulder at the sleeping Beta. "She'd probably have an explanation for that, too." His gaze met hers, searching it for something. "I trust you," he said simply, letting his azure blue eyes return to the lake once more. Not only was it rude to stare, apparently others found it intimidating when he met their gaze.

Jaromila was quiet, laughing light with his comment about Beta, before nodding her head. She may have just met the other filly, but she did seem to have a way of talking about things. She returned her gaze to him and when they locked eyes for that moment, she was surprised that she felt a blush come to her cheeks.
"I trust you too, Haides, I trust you a lot. I do not know why, but you and I seemed to click the moment we met,"Mila spoke.

"... That's... probably the best explanation of this whole situation. Mostly unexplainable..." He turned his gaze back to her, a ghost of a smile gracing his lips. "... but feels right."

Jaromila saw the beginnings of a smile and a soft smile graced her own face. She thought it felt right too, like it was meant to be like this all along.
"It just feels like we were meant to be, that is the best way I can describe it, Haides. I do not know why, I just think we both would do well to accept it,"Mila told him.

Haides nodded absently, warm feeling shooting through his body like lightning at the sight of that. "... Guess so." He went quiet for a moment, then sighed. "Beta's going to call us some odd term." Which wouldn't be a problem, except... "...Do you think your family will like me?"

Jaromila thought about his question for a moment, trying to think how her parents would act.
"My mom is very picky when it comes to Azrein that interact with her children, but very fair. If you are a nice person, she will be very accepting of you, Haides. I worry what your family will think of me,"Mila confessed softly.

"... That's not very reassuring," Haides replied. At her confession, his azure blue eyes fixed on her green ones. "They," he bluntly informed her, "will adore you. Serenity especially, since she worries about my lack of interaction with others. And Beta already likes you." And although they didn't see each other as such, they were part of the same adopted family.

Jaromila winced when he told her that she didn't reassure him with her words. She didn't mean to be so blunt, but her mom could be a bit of a challenge.
"I am sure Mama will like you, Haides, since you are making her daughter happy. She just worries about her children getting hurt, which I do not think you would do to me. I am glad to hear your mom would like me though, she sounds really sweet,"Mila smiled.

The wince made Haides frown, but her words softened his expression. "... If you're sure... then I guess it's alright." The colt gave Jaromila a gentle nudge, careful not to poke her with his horn. When Serenity was mentioned, he nodded. "Yeah... she is." He went silent for a little while. "... I think Rhea would like you too."

Jaromila giggled slightly as he nudged her and hen she gave him a confused look.
"Who is Rhea, if you do not mind my asking, Haides? I do not think I have heard you mention this Azrein before now,"Mila spoke softly. She was quiet as she waited for his reply.
