Tatsumi tilted his head. "Whatever's the fastest; knowing Karin, she's probably locking onto the phone signal now to see just where I am and the nearest airport; she mentioned sending Ishizaki, her butler with her jet to get me... though I have a feeling getting out of any airport isn't going to be easy with Mad Gear around," he said, closing his hands with an audible popping as his knuckles popped. "It isss about time, boy... finding you over sssix hundred milesss is not easy," an annoyed voice hissed as a wavering of air formed into Venom, crouching inverted on the ceiling. "Could you be a little slower next time? Better six hundred than a couple of thousand, which given a day or so would have been so," Tatsumi said dryly. Venom dropped from the ceiling, his leg snapping out in an axe kick that slapped into Tatsumi's palm with a sound like a gunshot while Tatsumi's arm barely moved. Venom cocked his head, noticing there was something very different about his successor.

Tatsumi flicked his wrist, causing Venom's leg to drop to the floor with a thump. "Then maybe I can help; I've found it's fairly easy to manipulate my ki into three main elemental forms: fire, lightning, and shadows, though I'm fairly sure the last is thanks to old Snake Butt over here," he said dryly as he walked towards the door, glancing again at Sharazine thoughtfully.

Tatsumi cocked his head, sniffing slightly in the air. "Did you check the radiator? I can smell radiator fluid, but it's almost like it dried up," he said, a frown flickering over his face as his eyes narrowed. "I don't know for sure, but I kinda doubt you left the fuel door open," he said wryly.

Tatsumi shifted, letting himself fall to the ground on fingertips and toes as he got close to the bumper. His eyes narrowed as he noticed a glimmer of green liquid. "Looks like ther may be a busted hose down beneath the radiator," he said cautiously. "And it appears-s-s that s-s-someone has put s-s-sugar in your tank," Venom hissed. Tatsumi blinked, seeing something white beneath the tank with a slight flicker of red before his eyes widened. "Back away slowly... very slowly," he said calmly as he shifted, gripping the bumper before he heard a thump as he felt it ease forward. Venom released the parking brake... but if what I saw is right... someone set a trap with intent to kill, he thought.

Tatsumi shifted slightly. "It's the hose coming off the bottom of the radiator," he said cautiously. "I also noticed something else underneath the car... and if it's what I think it is... then someone else knows about those of us that have guides.. and they aren't friendly," he said as he jerked, the car rolling out of the barn thanks to his enhanced strength and natural talents. A high pitched beeping started, making his body tense sharply as he pushed off, somersaulting over the car and hefting the rear end up a couple of feet with one hand as he jerked something off. It was revealed to be a cake of some sort of white clay with a small green box and red flashing light attached. He pushed off again, this time landing on the hood and leaping off high into the air before rearing back his arm and hurling it hard high into the air. The chunk of clay shot nearly thirty feet into the air in a high arc. His hand dropped, an aura of violet-blue energy forming into a tight orb no larger than a ping-pong ball. "Tenretsujin," he whispered as he released it. It released in a burst of light, rapidly forming into a cometary burst of energy shaped more like a dragon's head as it bit down on the odd clay. Almost the instant it did, a massive detonation took place, the fireball easily a dozen feet wide.

Tatsumi blinked as the detonation's hot wind blasted towards them. "Fortunately that didn't go off in the barn... it probably would have utterly destroyed it," he said quietly, crossing his arms over his chest. Unknown to him, a single kanji glowed in bright gold on his back through his shirt.

Tatsumi glanced back as he smiled faintly. "I don't know who it was, but whoever it was either has a guide who doesn't like metahumans... or mutants, whichever you prefer to call us, or they don't like someone you're related to," he said quietly. He shifted his gaze back forward as he heard the whine of a dirt bike coming closer. His eyes narrowed before widening. "Kami no baka," he muttered, recognizing the woman whose dark blue fatigues rustled in the air as she turned up the end of the driveway at high speed.
