Kassumi6 I did research on the different types before I made her, but I'd have to look things up all over again because...I forgot and the link is forever lost now xD. She's really fun to use though. I had her talk to a tree once since I couldn't think of anything else and she was in a park at the time. I'd have to research it on a day I didn't have a heap of homework sitting across from me on my head (they mocks me...they really do).
My friends have said that I have OCD whenever I see a slightly tilted picture frame or slightly ajar door or papers or...anything really. I stood in front of a picture for two minutes trying to straighten it out and my friends asked me, "OCD much?" I told her I doubted it, but you never know. In a week I could be classified as mental insane xD. I've made a character before where they talk to themselves constantly even with people around. I wasn't sure if I should associate him with something to go with it and add some more onto him or not. I made him an insane person later in in a guild...he...scared me a bit because he reflected my inner self and every nightmare I've had. I never used him again xD I don't think I have his picture anymore either.
It's fine. I like it when people ramble in real life because then I don't have to talk. I'll go with the shy one though then maybe attempt the other one after I do a weekend researched...could do that over my break this next week. Eh, I'll probably PM the profile and have you critique it since you probably will know more on the subject than I may ever learn on the internet. Oh, mmmhmmm, suuuuure *gives you the 'I'm watching you' sign* razz (damn smiley face thingy) I remember when my family member was going through his evaluation, one of the doctors mentioned that at any point, you may have someone who meets the clinical diagnosis for any disorder but that doesn't necessarily mean they really need that label. OCD is one of those things where nearly everyone has compulsions here and there, or obsessions here or there but the only way you really get diagnosed with it is when it starts interfering with your day to day life. People who actually have OCD don't just straighten picture frames here and there. They tend to spend hours a day on their compulsions. Like my family member--he may wash his hands 20 times in a single hour. or if he drops something on the floor, he may completely refuse to pick it up, even if it's something he needs, because he thinks it may be dirty. When you hand him something, the conversation usually goes like: "Is that clean?" "Yes." "Did you wash it?" "Yes." "Just now?" "Yes." *takes it hesitantly.....immediately sets it down and goes to wash his hands.* And there are so many little things. Like. For him, the word down is "bad" and the word up is "good"--he can't explain why he feels this way, but he just associates negative feelings with the word down. So when he says down, he immediately has to say up as well. Or if he touches his knee, or foot, or anything below the waist, he usually has the compulsion to instantly touch his head as well (because his head is "up" and his legs are "down.") So most people who get "OCD" over things would never actually meet the criteria because being particular about one or two things isn't what OCD is about. OCD is actually an anxiety disorder so all the compulsions tend to be driven by feelings of anxiety about something rather than just liking things to be a certain way. It's a really, really fascinating disorder, actually. Well, most mental disorders are really fascinating once you get into the reasons people with them behave the way they do. Schizophrenia is interesting because there are lots of related disorders--there's also Schizoid personality disorder, which has some of the characteristics, but not all of them. Because I have several family who have mental, mood or behavior disorders, I've done a lot of reading about them. It's much easier to interact with them when I can kind of be informed about what's going on in their heads? I have several slightly kooky characters but I've never tried to give them a specific diagnosis. Some people in the guild will remember my character Javor from another RP we were all in together. He's just...I don't even know what disorders he has. He's probably like...an obsessive compulsive sociopath with a strong oral fixation. Or something. I dunno. XD But if you want to keep chatting about it, just quote me over in the chat thread so we can keep this thread clear of spam. =3 I look forward to seeing your character. <3<3

I'm going to approve this one but remember two things: 1. It's okay to go ahead and choose an element and spell but remember that she will not actually know her element OR know any spells when she starts at the school. She will find out her element the first time she attends spell casting and she'll have to go through some trials to be able to learn her first spell. 2. Please be sure to read and sign this thread: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=23241803 before you post in the RP 3. Please post a character thread in the Character files subforum. When she starts out, she won't have a roommate in the dorms. 4. Also, just an FYI--it's not late in the year. School has only started a few days ago, RP time. Welcome to the guild.=)

I figured. I have that there so I remember which one I wanted her to have . . . within a week I'd forget xD. I didn't notice that, my bad. I did read through the rules and ranks before though . . . 9000 posts . . . Can do and alright. Thank you and I did finish up my schizo earlier after some research . . . I wanted to cry after I wrote a paragraph long personality for her. If you wouldn't mind I'd like to run it by you to make sure things mesh cause I cannot tell lol. Just PM or quote me back in the OOC if you wouldn't mind it.

It's the "high master" type of level in this guild so it really wouldn't make sense if student characters could achieve that in a couple of months considering even teachers are only at level two. =3 Anyway, I'll quote you over at the OOC--I just hadn't gotten around to replying there yet as I've been kind of ill for most of the day.

ChocolateXCheese presents. . . Caesar Riley department: Astronomy Department Student "I don’t look up to the stars; the stars look up to me." ⋆ ⋆ ⋆THE RESONANCE SKIES FILES⋆ ⋆ ⋆ classified ❥nickname: None ❥age: 14 ❥gender: Male ❥height and weight: 154 cm; 45 kg ❥blood type: O ❥sexual orientation: Heterosexual ❥status: Unavailable ❥birthday: July 23 ❥zodiac sign : Leo ❥appearance: If there’s one thing that matters to Caesar, it’s appearance. He always keeps his blonde hair neatly combed (and carries a comb around with him to make sure he looks presentable at all times) and his green eyes are often narrowed, giving him a skeptical expression. At the academy, he continues to wear the uniform from the private school he used to attend, and on his free days, he dresses formally. His nails are his pride and joy, so he always keeps them clean and coated in clear nail polish. ❥personality: Despite being mature for his age, Caesar can only be accurately described as a spoiled brat. He is certain that the world revolves around him and that everyone else exists simply to serve him or take up space. While he is a self-centric, egotistical asshat, he does have a sliver of conscience and some empathy. If it doesn’t cost anything from him, he will go out of his way to help others, but he expects copious amounts of praise for it. Though, he does somewhat make up for his horrible personality by being surprisingly honest and loyal. He is just the kind of person no one can feel neutral about; you either like him or hate him depending on how much patience you have. ❥character flaws: ✖ Spoiled - Which is pretty much what caused all the following flaws ✖ Vain ✖ Superiority complex - He constantly worries that he isn’t good enough, so he tried to convince others, and himself, that he is superior ✖ Intolerant - If someone doesn’t agree with him, he’ll hate them. No questions asked. ✖ Impatient ✖ Selfish ❥ability: (ONLY 1 SKILL AND PLEASE ELABORATE) ❥talents: If there’s one thing Caesar can do, it’s think. He has the memory of an elephant, and has the logic to apply that knowledge too. Unfortunately, his intelligence only serves to feed his arrogance. ❥bio: Caesar’s family was obviously well off, and that’s because his father was the owner of a large business and his mother, a lawyer. Being the only son of such a wealthy family, pressure was put on him to not only succeed, but to surpass them. Because of that expectancy, he never really had a childhood, and that upset his mother. When he turned ten, his mother gave up on fighting his father and filed for divorce. His father, being a very bitter and unforgiving man, purposely complicated the procedure by causing many disputes over custody, property, and money, not just because he was stingy, but also to spite her.
Caesar, who continued to live with his father and stopped seeing his mother, had it hammered into his head that she was a fool for leaving the family, and that he would be rewarded for staying. His ego grew over the years as his childish innocence disappeared, focussing his life primarily on studying. He eventually formed an interest in space and the stars, seeing it as an area of untapped resources and power. After a lot of demanding and pleading, his father eventually agreed to send him to Resonance Skies to further his studies on astronomy, the catch being that he has to continue his other studies on his own as well. Of course, there was much difficulty getting into the school considering his age, but eventually, he was deemed skilled enough to enroll anyway.❥likes: ✔ Dogs (he has several Dobermans at home, one of which is named Caesar. Yep.) ✔ Mirrors ✔ Stars ✔ Books ✔ Nail polish
❥dislikes: ✖ Music, poetry, dancing, or any kind of art ✖ Idiots (or at least, who he deems to be idiots) ✖ Loud noises ✖ Hard labor (or any labor at all... hell, just anything that requires effort) ✖ Anyone who points out his age or height ❥extra information:
- Even though he seems mature and confident, enough stress can break him and make him cry.
- Irritate him enough and he'll attack, but his punches are a bit... lacking to say the least.

there are some issues with this character you need to fix before I can approve him. First of all...almost none of those flaws are valid. I'm sorry. Having a small body type is not a flaw--especially given his age. Cosplaying is not a flaw. Having migraines is not a flaw (I'm not even sure migraines can stem from having a photographic memory--nothing I have found substantiates this). I have no idea what "hair twigging" even is... He's 16...being uncertain about his future is 100% normal, and not a flaw. The sense of humor issues might be abut your description is kind of confusing because it seems like it's a flaw based on the fact that other people find his sense of humor insulting but I can't imagine any of the characters in the guild being insulted by your examples... You really need to work on giving him a few more actual flaws because from what I can see he has two--maybe three, at most. For his talents--what bothers me is that you've tried to sneak in at least three extra skills and I'm not okay with this. Not only is he bilingual (but knows...three languages? Bi = two...), Flexible and has a photographic memory...but he's also good at archery, artistic (in music, drawing AND food)...and he's also incredibly smart. You need to limit him to just three talents. Not six. Just because archery, music, drawing, cooking and high intelligence aren't listed in his talents doesn't mean they don't count. They do. So please trim some of those out because right now he's kind of over-skilled. It's okay for him to LIKE art and music but you've kind of implied he's actually good at those things too so you need to make sure that his only notable talents are the ones listed. He cannot be good at everything. Once you edit his flaws and remove his extra abilities, please let me know and I'll have another look.

I edited it and clarified the profile a bit more. If there's anything else, just let me know.
Also, headaches can come from having an overly active mind and memory is part of the brain which means the brain is active. I'm living proof of this because I have been told by many that I have a photographic memory and my brain seems to literally never shut down to take a break. I've had headaches all my life and have even developed far worse issues which has called upon tests being done on my brain activity to try figuring out why it developed after such a long time. Just thought I'd give you that little tidbit of knowledge and I don't mean it to sound rude. It's just what I've learned. sweatdrop
Edited: People with photographic memory are pretty intelligent... Or maybe that's just me...? I'm not saying super genius smart, but they're pretty intelligent. I could've skipped a couple of grades personally if I hadn't have been a military kid constantly moving around. -shrugs-

Serendipitous Coma presents. . . Benedetta Traiylor department: Music Student “It's the thrill of the hunt!” ⋆ ⋆ ⋆THE RESONANCE SKIES FILES⋆ ⋆ ⋆ classified ❥nickname: Bennie ❥age: 17 ❥gender: Female ❥height and weight: 164 cm & 54 kg ❥blood type: AB ❥sexual orientation: Heterosexual ❥status: Single ❥birthday: November 24th ❥zodiac sign : Sagittarius ❥appearance: Not spectacular by any means, Benedetta blends easily into a group as far as looks go. She has dirty blonde hair that she keeps short and brushed, the most style she works into it being a simple hair band or a barrette when she has the impulse to do so. Her nails are kept short as well and her hands are rough for a girl her age, sometimes even dirty if she's been outside at all – which one can assume she certainly has. Her clothing choice, unusual enough for her, is rather effeminate, full of skirts, dresses, and bright colors, and she does force herself to get her make up done in the morning, though it often ends up sloppy as she rushes the job before dashing out of her room. ❥personality: Friendly as can be, Benedetta is happy to instigate a conversation, though she doesn't really get to know anyone for longer than her attention span allows – she's just too used to moving onto someone new to really breech past the first stages of friendship. It's not that she does it to be rude, however; she's just as surprised as anyone would be at her flighty nature to find someone wanting anything different. To be honest, it makes her uncomfortable and nervous, if not just plain frustrated. But she, luckily, hasn't had that problem before, so she remains a fairly happy, easy-going girl with a strict focus on her passion – hunting. People now, considering the school wouldn't allow her rifle to come along too. If someone strikes her as a challenge, she makes it her business to attain them in any way she can – it's fun! ❥character flaws: ✖ Wishy-washy – One moment your her best friend in the darn world, the next she can hardly bother to remember your name. ✖ Insensitive – Shouldn't be surprising – she has trouble not treating people like a game and, if that isn't the case, she disregards them completely. ✖ Unreliable – Don't try to ask for a favor; the chance of Benedetta coming through is a shot in a million. ✖ Nosy – To obtain the target, she needs to know the target! ✖ Escapist – Benedetta doesn't know how to handle conflict of a more emotional nature and will take serious measures to avoid them. ✖ Frustration – She can get rather coarse to be around when she feels she's losing her game, becoming sarcastic and pessimistic easy. ❥ability: Unknown ❥talents: Take Aim and..! – Shooting! Benedetta is certainly not an expert, but she can be pretty darn good with a rifle when given the chance. Don't Release the Hounds! – Tracking down her prey is one of her favorite past times and she's gotten pretty good at it! For most game animals, that is; people, she's still getting the hang of. Come To Me, My Pretties! – Animals calls. Benedetta is pretty darn good at mimicking game – and a few livestock, too! ❥bio: If anyone tried to say they saw Benedetta before Resonance Academy, the girl would call them a liar – but, really, it may very well be true. Benedetta was born into the arms of the most restless spirits possible, living the majority of her childhood on the road, in a van, and within tents, as her father and mother went everywhere in search of the crowd they would magically fit into. Benedetta couldn't call herself a lonely child as a result – she was actually very social! Sure, most of her friends ended up as pen-pals or simply forgotten, but it wasn't like it was difficult to make new ones when she was constantly being thrust into a new crowd every other month or so. Not to mention she had three brothers to keep her company when her parents were too busy mapping out the next route to 'home' to give her much mind.
Every so often, in between destinations, her parents would drive them up to stay a time at the children's grandparents in an attempt to allow them the stability her grandmother would berate her mother over. Though they usually would be picked up again a month or two later anyway, Benedetta still managed to find the time to pick up a few hobbies with her grandfather – well, just one. Hunting. Before her grandmother could protest, Benedetta was usually lead off into the surrounding woods of her grandparent's house to play with rifles and make horrible attempts at taking down a buck or, more often, a squirrel. Honestly, going out on hunting trips was the most at 'home' Benedetta ever had the pleasure of knowing and she soon came to be the one nagging her parents to take her siblings and her back so she could get more practice in the sport.
Unfortunately, a whiny child wasn't really enough to convince her folks that she really deserved to be staying at her grandparents more often. For one, her mother thought it was all the grandmother's doing and was more determined to find that special place as quickly as possible to appease the elder. Which meant they were on the road all that much more and going even farther away from her grandparent's abode, much to Benedetta's disappointment. When she was younger, she was fine with spending her time in the van watching scenery pass by and playing silly games with her siblings, but not anymore. Her parents picked up on her boredom and, to try to help her out, they began to give her books.
Lots and lots of books that were previously her mother's, which meant basically every one of them were trashy romance novels. It took some time, but Benedetta had come to absolutely adore reading such adventures of an awkward novice just learning the ropes of the romance game and hunting after the Big One – sometimes catching the prey, sometimes watching another gun it down, but the thrill of the hunt was what enthralled her. Between diving into those fantasies or living the hunt out in the woods with her grandpa, Benedetta was as mirthful as could be!
Until one of her brother's let it slip that she had been hunting. Yes, for all those years, Benedetta's parents hadn't a clue that she had been participating in a dangerous sport like hunting and, by some miracle, her brothers hadn't thought to bring it up. She didn't really get what the big deal had been, but her parents had immediately pulled the trip over to have a 'discussion' with their grandparents. In the end, they somehow came to the conclusion that a boarding school was the best option. So, Benedetta was forced to apply to a few boarding schools of her choice and Resonance Skies Academy turned out to be the one to accept her.❥likes: ✔ Hunting ✔ Shooting ✔ Game ✔ Canaries ✔ Camping ✔ Jerky
❥dislikes: ✖ Canines ✖ Cakes ✖ Elevators ✖ Maps ✖ Children ✖ Rain ✖ Fishing ❥extra information: – Doesn't know how to play any instrument, but she has a slight interest in learning as most of the heroines of her novels has a knack for it.

Dantes_river I edited it and clarified the profile a bit more. If there's anything else, just let me know.

Edited: People with photographic memory are pretty intelligent... Or maybe that's just me...? I'm not saying super genius smart, but they're pretty intelligent. I could've skipped a couple of grades personally if I hadn't have been a military kid constantly moving around. -shrugs- I base my knowledge on migraines on actual studies and journals. As a long time sufferer of them, I've done quite a lot of research into the subject. My experience is that professionals say a lot of things to their patients that have absolutely no grounding in reality or honest to goodness medical studies. Thanks for the tidbit but I think I'll stick to verifiable research. Not to be rude, or anything, though. ^^ Also, I've known several people with photographic memories and average intelligence--in fact, there was a girl in my grade in school with a photographic memory but her IQ was about 10 points lower than mine. Again, that's just anecdotal. Lots of people with great memories have normal intelligence, and many people with genius level IQs have completely normal memories. There's not necessarily a direct correlation between memory and intelligence; rather, it varies from person to person. In addition, it's important to remember that not everyone with an exceptional memory actually has an eidetic memory. That term is applied to far, far too many people who don't actually fit the description, which is actually incredibly narrow--far more so than most people realize.=3 Just saying. Anyway, I'll go check out the character.

Okay....I hope you don't take this the wrong way but you basically corrected almost nothing I asked you to correct. Flaws: You basically kept his migraines as a flaw but just changed it to "sensitivity" and for the record, that still is not a flaw. Thinking "too hard" about something isn't...really a flaw. And honestly, how would you even RP that in a practical sense? Over-analyzing can be a flaw if it makes him obnoxious, though. And most people who over-analyze do tend to be annoying about it. Sweet tooth is not a flaw at all unless he gorges himself on sweets and actually gains weight or gets acne from it which I highly doubt you intend to have him do. "Overdoer" could function as a flaw but I'm curious exactly how you would RP this since the premise is that he's always busy and his schedule overloaded with activities and with the current set up of the RP, there's not really a way to apply that, which kind of makes it a non-flaw. Please remember, the flaws aren't just decorations tacked onto the character--they're things that should actually surface in the RP beyond him telling people about them. Please reconsider these and put in some things that are actually more valid than this. I didn't bring this up before but I'm curious if you've done any research about the drawbacks of joint hypermobility and the issues he would likely have from this from it since it's all over his body like that? Many people have a degree of hyper mobility, and have no real issues from it--but when it's in nearly every joint like that, it would almost definitely cause issues. Also, I want to make it clear that I do know that just because a person likes something, that doesn't mean they're good at it. However, I think it's important when you put extra skills in the profile to be responsible enough to explicitly state he's not good at it because a lot of people like to make their character good at everything they do and it's nice to have that accountability of it being in writing that he's not good at it. =) You didn't really edit the art other than to expand it. And you kept him with is exceptional intelligence...so I'll just let you know upfront that if I see people not RPing according to the profile, or abusing the profile information for godmodding, I don't have a problem calling them out. So if you choose to leave it please be sure he doesn't just happen to turn out be super great at music, art, mythology, astronomy and everything else. Because that won't be fair to the people who do only give their characters the allotted number of talents. =)
