Many people speculate that falling stars are just space debris entering the atmosphere of Earth, and that, in most cases, they burn up before they enter the actual part that humans live in. On special cases, some of the junk hits home, creating craters against Earth's land surface, and is left there for people to find later, and put into museums. At these museums, people tend to do research and fawn over the little bits of rock. ❞
xxxxx❝ But that's not what fallen stars actually are. In a place far, far away, there is a land that holds many creatures. These creatures are embodiments of wishes and dreams. They hold a special power in their bodies that give the ability to give one wish, to one person. Their entire lives these creatures sit and learn how to make the wishes be fulfilled. They learn how to travel through time and space, until they can get to their charges. They are trained in all ways to make this possible. And when they fulfill the wish of their one charge, they die off, never to do the bidding of another for all of eternity. ❞
xxxxx❝ But something was wrong. A female, beautiful in appearance, with long, flowing hair, heard her calling. The voice in her head rang pure and true, and in a flurry, she left her home planet, and headed toward Earth. She fell on a crystal clear night, landing gracefully outside a hospital. Slightly confused, the female made her way up into the building, following the fading voice. But by the time she got there, her charge was dead, lying in a bed, heart monitor flat lined. Her charge had died before her wish, the wish to live just one more day, could be granted. Heartbroken and frightened, the fallen star found herself sobbing at the foot of the young girls bed. She just didn't know what to do. She couldn't return home, as when the stars granted the wishes, they were to die off. And she was immortal, until she granted the wish of the charge that called her. ❞
xxxxx❝ Unsure what to do, she took the name of the charge that she had failed to save, honoring her in the only way she could. Now known as Hilary, the star fled from the hospital, and tried to find her own way to live on Earth. Though she doesn't know the language, and is even more confused by some of the mannerisms, she's trying her hardest to learn, and not fret about what is going on. She is curious about the creatures, and even more so about some of the concepts, but she is also trying to learn by doing. ❞
