INNER_EYE BK Crown Well, since Lars is stupid and insists on drums being the loudest, most dominant instrument in a recording (and probably live as well) I can be rest assured that whatever the next Metallica CD will be, it'll be quite nauseating. Well is has loud noise on St.Anger indeed, but before that? It is not bad. And why would you not want to hear the drums? The drums push the music forward ^^ Without drums it would just be... plain O.o Yes, the drums are nice to hear. But go listen to Holier Than Thou. Lars' drums are close to the loudest instrument on that recording. Not only that, but the drums make the whole song an annoyance and make it monotonous. DUH-TAA-DUH-TAA-DUH-TAA-DUH-TAA-DUH-TAA Repeat that 20 times and you got Holier Than Thou.

Mnemosyne00 I was on the Metallica chat forums and someone started a "Name the Next Album" board. And some were pretty funny, yet kind of mean. I kind laughed at one suggestion that said "Well, there was Load, Reload, but I doubt they'd have Download. So...what about PostRehab?" But, some of the suggestions were pretty serious. And others were quite funny. ya know, i think we should start a thread like that in this guild. That sounds hilarious. blaugh

I cant wait for this new album. Ive been a loyal Metallica fan for the better half of my life. People say that I get bitter when folks start talking trash about St.Anger. I realy dont, but what the ******** hell gives them the right to criticize someone elses art just cause they cant get their metal nuts off to it?! ******** THEM!!........Anyway, like I aid, not bitter at all.
Fave Album biggrin efineteley Load. Blusey metal euphoria.
Album I get tired of hearing about:Black. Yes I love it, almost everyone does. But why dont we talk about some of thier more intresting albums like St.Anger or S&M?
Album I think is overlooked the most:S&M. If you cant see and accept the pure beauty of this record, then your probly a stuck up tROO metalhead that thinks something has to have a double bass and screaming vocals to be good.
Dont get me wrong, I understand thier older stuff is heavier or at least thrashier. But thats not all of what they are about. Nothing Else Matters wasa the first mainstream hit like that, but Fade to Black was the true first in my eyes.
The people who say Metallica should stop with the emotional lyrics, like the ******** somewhere at the begining of this post, annoy the hell out of me. If I could, I would take away your ability to hear anything at all. Ronnie is one of thier best songs ever, not for technicality, but for sheer power and movement. Low Mans Lyric is another good one. Hell, ive even cried when listening to Outlaw Torn.
........*Sigh* Okay, im done. And sorry, I just had to say that.

Acctualy Escape was their "first real" sell out song ^^ And metallica was probably gonna get "softer" with time anyways, even thou St.Anger wasent exactly soft razz
Eh sorry for a short post on that O.o (not at home right now)

i like metallica's older songs more than the new ones. the drums are really loud and they are annoying after a while. and the older songs like in the Ride the Lightning CD have really fast cool guitar solos. and i kinda like the old bassist more. but thats just me. o. and like how James's voice sounded in the Ride the Lightning and the Master of Puppets Cds. it was like, all harsh.
