:: Rui, The Crossdressing Extraordinaire! ::┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ When pushed out from ‘her’ hiding place to be properly introduced, Rui simply gave a small bow before immediately retreating back into to the safety that was Arimina’s back. While the shyness/nervousness might have seemed like a good touch to anyone who already knew that she was actually a he, it honestly wasn’t a stretch from what the blond was actually feeling. He didn’t want to talk, he didn’t want to be looked at, and he certainly didn’t want to be hit on… Despite his feelings, however, the alchemist made sure to get a decent look at the other man. He wasn’t the type of person that the crossdressing lad quite expected to come out of a military base. The bloke wasn’t even wearing armor or any type military uniform. It looked like he was utterly defenseless, but the scientist knew very well that looks could be deceiving, and left his impression of the stranger at that. Meanwhile, as his companion and the other man talked, Rui curiously peered over to get a better view of the others of the small crowd. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

Shingo Surabashi, the Lone Wolf
"Just because I take my job seriously doesn't mean I'm married to it, you know..."No sooner had Sinbad engaged the base's guests than a second figure came out of the Headquarters and walked the long drive-path towards the gate where the unknown duo, the massive Lieutenant, and nearby Captain Ria were gathered to try and figure out this whole situation. On his way outside he had seen the gathered crowd by the window slowly begin to disperse, as the presence of the White Devil tended to inspire loyalty either willing or via intimidation. And with only the Creature of Shadow still casually observing the actions of the object of his curiosity (and affection?), it seemed that business was finally being taken care of both out front and in the base. Which is what he was here for as well, one last note of business before he could take his leave for a while. It was in his DNA to focus on his work and do his best while he was on duty, but when the end of the day came or his breaks came and he could punch out, he made sure he was fully off the clock. Only one more thing to do before he could head out and enjoy some free time today, as he had spent most of the night with the unfortunate duty of waiting up for incoming complaints and incident reports in lieu of his Captain's temporary absence. He liked Captain Hand, for sure...swell enough boss, even-keel temperament...but leaving him to deal with things on his own while he disappeared was, well...whatever.
Padding casually past the Captain of the 4th Unit he nodded and offered a salute, but continued walking on towards the group by the gate until he was there beside them, the furry girl and the blond just finishing their explanation to Sinbad as he approached. Having received the full report on his way out, it didn't take a rocket scientist to realize there was something strange about all of this. First and foremost...the crossdresser. Convincing as the guise might have been to some, the gig was up long before he laced up the corset, so to speak.
"Lieutenant Sinbad: 2nd Lieutenant Surabashi Shingo, sir. Captain Hand and 1st Lieutenant Ulrich are unable to answer Ensign Chiharu's report, so I've been asked to come out here instead. If I may..." he saluted his technical superior, though he did not answer to Sinbad since hew as in another unit, and then turned to the two alchemists (though he did not know that's what they were, of course), "Military regulations state that no unauthorized guests are allowed on the premises of the Embryon Headquarters. Whether or not you have an appointment with Major Manning notwithstanding, we cannot permit you to pass this point. Major Manning may have a certain...leeway here, but even he must submit to regulations sometimes. This is one of those times. We apologize for any inconvenience you suffered in coming all the way out here, but we must ask you to be on your way. Thank you." Saluting his superior once more and nodding towards the two guests, he left Sinbad to the duty of removing them if they refused the request...which he doubted they would, given the odds they would be facing if they had some kind of ill intent. An entire military base such as this one would make quick work of anybody shy of the one who had broken in a few months ago...from the Crows, they had said? But that man was one-of-a-kind, he had no doubts. And these two, well...they weren't him.
Secure in that knowledge, once he had wished everyone at the gate a farewell he turned right back onto the road and kept walking...through the gate and away, down slowly towards the town. He was now officially off-duty for the next 6 hours, and he was going to make the most of the time that he had been given. Junes, perhaps? Maybe he'd catch a train into Okina City for a movie and back? He considered his options...but before he was too far, he turned back and called over his shoulder, one last tidbit of information.
"And if I may speak freely, you should take that ridiculous outfit off. Three Ensigns, a Major, and a Lieutenant all saw you put it on from the window, and as much as we'd love to see his reaction should you trap Major Manning...well, the cat's out of the bag, isn't it?"
And with those words of wisdom and an amused smirk, he was off. It was time for the Lin Kuei to begin thinking about a Plan B approach...or perhaps even a Plan C.

Kuatsumo Sinbad, a.k.a. "Havel the Rock"
Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant  As she had introduced herself, as well as her companion and their reason for arriving, Sinbad chuckled slightly, before a serious expression crossed his face. " Ms. Wolfgang... about that..." Sinbad stated until the arrival of fellow lieutenant Surabashi, who also debriefed them on their wishes. After he had told them of how that they weren't going to meet Major Manning on the base, Sinbad had chuckled again, this time easing up. "Yes, as my fellow lieutenant has said, you can not come onto the base, and we do apologize for the inconvenience. And if I have any inclination, I feel that the dress fits well. Just a personal opinion, though."

Arimina Wolfgang Arimina leaned her hips to one side, arms akimbo as she listened to Shingo, sighing lightly as he finished his bit part in the play the were performing. "Gods no, deceiving you was never a part of the reason we had little Rui here dress up. We had simply heard that Mr Manning was a man of... certain tastes."She smiled wryly at the larger man, Sinbad, as Shingo walked off, listening to him reiterate how the Lin Kuei pair were prevented by regulation to step foot into the military base.
"That is quite the shame, we had been informed that our business would be able to be taken care of here on the base. Is there anyone of higher rank around that may be able to grant us entry? Or, failing that, would we be able to take Mr Manning into town with us to complete our business there?"She waved a hand lightly in the direction of the town as she spoke, to add emphasis. "In fact, now that it's come to it, holding our meeting in town would be the much preferred option of the two, we had however been informed that Mr Manning was... less inclined, shall we say, to leave his residence for almost all callers."Arimina sighed again and shrugged a small shrug, putting on a face of slight exasperation at the lengths that had to be gone to for certain customers. "Either way, we really must speak with Mr Manning and would appreciate any assistance that may be able to be granted in doing so."

 Feid ShingekiFeid had been slumped back as the others were..oh too willing to tell the two 'Girls' that they wouldn't be allowed in. He scowled, and spat roughly as the one with a...partially exposed figure mused about needing to speak with the very guy he'd been soured at for the past thirty minutes. While one of other lieutenants decided to try to talk to them, Feid was...frankly annoyed at the arrivals.
"Look, ya damn cheap whores." he snapped, starting over to the two, leering up and down 'Rui', as he scowled. "I get that you want to try to get with that complete scum of a human being, but...From the bottom of my heart, I insist you find someone else to...sell yourselves too. Nothing good's gonna come of trying to make happy with mister 'My dad owns a dealership-and-i'm-riding-his-coattails-and-being-an-a*****e ********. So, if you'll just turn around, and walk away, this won't have to get...complicated."
He looked the two up and down, scowling from ear to ear as he put off as intimidating of an aura as he could. The guy didn't deserve any sort of affection....And, they couldn't afford to take any chances with letting strangers into their base. Especially if ALL of the stories in the past were true...

:: Rui, The Crossdressing Extraordinaire! :: ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Okay, so a little setback: they weren’t authorized to be let inside to meet their custom- I mean target. Wasn’t much of a problem, at least not in comparison to what was coming. Rui became as stiff as a bored when the supposed lieutenant turned back and called out. ‘I look ridiculous?’ the man’s words pierced through the crossdresser’s heart, nearly causing him to hunch over from the (emotional) pain in his chest. Next was the gentleman from before; or at least that’s what Roux thought he was trying to be. He did in fact complement him on how the dress suited him, but the question of how to take that was confusing… Should he be happy? An inner thought told the blond that if he did, he’d be going to a very dark place. More importantly: he wasn’t hitting on him, was he? O-of course not! Despite any misconceptions, at least the man wasn’t being rude unlike the other lieutenant; but at the same time his kindness somewhat stung. Last, but not least, was another rude man who called Rui and her faithful companion cheap whores… It seemed that getting through Embryon’s walls was definitely going to be a task and half. No easy ways to resolve this either… With little options, there was really only one thing left to try... Rui, who wore a deadpan if not grim look, moved out from behind Arimina and took a few steps closer to the men. “P-pleaseIbegofyoutohelpus!” Roux said, swiftly prostrating himself as fast as he could without causing the wig to fly off –throwing all pride out the window. “I know we’re asking a lot, b-but please, please find us a way to meet with him. I’m not saying we have to do anything here…But we can’t just go back! Our boss will chew us out and then some!” the man’s once firm tone started to sob up if only a little, while his forehead met the dirt floor and acquainted themselves with one another. “Y-you think I wanted to dress like this? I practically had no choice...I was only supposed to be the stinkin’ escort! I knew if I went back without at least entertaining Mr. Manning somehow, our boss would kill me. More importantly, I would be fired! I really need this job, and I really need this visit to go over smoothly...So please find it in your heart to cooperate with us, even if just a little!” Roux could only hope that he didn’t impede any of Arimina’s ideas, but now there was nothing they could do now but play along with what he just said and hope it was enough to get them through. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

Arimina WolfgangA sour look crossed Arimina's face as Feid Shingeki said his piece, but as she was about to retort, Rui had quickly jumped out from behind her and dropped to her knees, prostrating herself in front of everyone at the gate. Listening to Rui beg the soldiers for help, a concerned look crossed Arimina's face, and she sighed lightly, looking down slightly. "She is right, dramatic as it may have been. Our jobs are very much on the line for this piece of work, and while we do fully understand that entry into the base cannot be attained, we would truly appreciate assistance in meeting with Major Manning."With that, Arimina bowed before the group of military personnel, emphasizing their almost desperation, in their need to see a certain Major. Straightening her back, she looked directly into the eyes of the large man, Sinbad, a slight frown on her face. "Again, we understand that meeting at the base is not possible, and as such would like to request that Major Manning meet us outside of the base, in town. We will rent a room at the Amagi Inn, for the rest of the day and over-night, so that the Major may come visit us in his own time. Please forward this message to him."With this, Arimina softly reached down and helped Rui back to her feet, and with another, final bow, started leading her companion back to town.

:: Rui, The Crossdressing Extraordinaire! :: ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ While being helped up by his perky eared partner, Rui gave the rather convincing act of looking defeated; however, chances are if something seems real, then it probably is. Thoughts of what Aoshiki would do to him if this ploy didn’t work worried the crossdressing blond – almost as much as the whole family finding out about all this. But he didn’t have time to worry about failure, this had to work! More importantly, him putting on a dress would not be in vain! Or at least do more than get a chuckle from Kimiko… “I can take this off before we get to the Inn, right…?” Roux, er… Rather Rui asked in a rather desperate tone after they were out of hearing range from the base - all while shyly peering at ‘her’ partner’s face. However, despite his plea, the scientist extraordinaire already knew the answer was no. Not just because Arimina clearly liked his new found -but very much unwanted- ability, but also because his comfort probably wasn’t worth the risk. What happens if they’re being tailed after all? Their backstory was that they needed this meeting to go through, so stopping just to be a guy again would seem counterproductive, right? Giving a sigh of utter defeat (even before his question was answered) Roux decided to switch to a more important matter, “You better delete those pictures by the way.” he said with a pout. It's unimaginable what everyone (namely Kimiko) would do if they saw this shameful form... Actually, it wasn't, which was even more of a reason to stay firm! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓
