Bruce tightened his grip on Tony’s hips reveling in the feeling of his lips against his own. This moment couldn’t be more perfect, he wished his life would just end now before anything went wrong. So he could live in this moment forever. Bruce pulled away for a moment intending fully on attaching his lips back to tony’s in less than thirty seconds. “I love you” he said, not really caring if it seemed rushed he had been holding it in for close to a year now and it was killing him.

The engineer laughed (since the Hulk had told him the same thing just earlier). "Yeah, I love you too, big guy," he repeated. As nice as Bruce's fingers felt digging into his hips, Tony lifted, grabbing the physicist by the arms to haul him up from the bed and onto his feet. "C'mon, let's go to the park," he said, eyes dancing. In all honesty, he was looking forward to 'showing off' his new catch to the world. Tony Stark did what he wanted. And that included being /with/ who he wanted. And Bruce was everything he wanted and more.

Bruce just laughed “I can feel your eyes Tony, You are really bad at the whole buying dinner thing aren’t you? He asked turning around with a grin and sliding the pants on, it wasn’t as if Tony hadn’t seen him without pants on before but the look on the mans face gave him the impression that he wanted to devour him. “Yeah” Bruce continued “Reeeally bad at it” He pulled his shirt over his head deciding it was good enough for the time being and laughed at the pout on tony’s face at him completely clothed. “at least i know you dont find me repulsive” he joked.

"The very opposite," Tony was quick to dash the thought. "I could list off a dozen adjectives here. Good-looking, attractive, handsome, adorable, sexy, /hunky/..." he motioned with his hand as he rattled off a few. "JARVIS, help me out here." The AI unit responded, "Should I open up the thesaurus, sir?"

“well i just assumed, ” Bruce said slightly nervous but at the same time placated by Tony’s second comment. “Im glad you don’t mind, do we have bread because every picnic needs bread” Bruce glanced down at their twined hands, he had never known Tony to be a hand holder. Not even with pepper, not that pepper hadn’t tried but he was sure he had never seen the man hold someone else’s hand before and that thought alone filled him with joy.

"I think there's bread... don't know why there wouldn't be," Tony said, letting go of his lab partner's hand to root through the fridge. He kept a fairly cluttered refridgerator, things were often in incorrect bins or sandwiched where it would fit, nothing was organized (all in all it was a good approximation of his own scattered brain). "You can make us sandwiches," he started handing things off to Bruce as he discovered them. "Bread, mayo, mustard, ham, cheese... Ooh, potato salad!" he exclaimed excitedly, not remembering they'd had that. The innovator peeled off the lid and stuck his nose in it to take a whiff-- oh God, that was quite rancid-- he recoiled, sticking his tongue out.

Bruce just laughed at him, ” Nothing unexpected is going to happen, we are going to go to the park and we are going to eat our lunch and have the best first date in the history of first dates because yes this is a first date.” He said confidently, ” and then we are going to come home, im going to let you kiss me senseless and then drag you to bed where we are going to sleep because now that i have slept with you once im not going back to sleeping by my self ever again.” he said hands still digging into the front of tony’s hips, lips centimeters from tony’s ear holding tony barely an inch away from his body.

Tony hummed in approval to the entirety of the plan, enjoying the possessive grip Bruce had on him. There was a hint of Hulk-like strength in those hands holding him close, and he /loved/ it. It excited him. "Now, when you say 'sleep'..." he trailed off suggestively, a salacious look in his eyes.

“tony, youre forgetting something. Its called a basket” he grinned at tony with supplies filling up both of his hands and overflowing, he held the mayo on the pile with his chin and while it was quite adorable he would rather have a basket it was much easier. “JARVIS, which closet is the basket in?” he asked. “This floor three feet to you’re right under all the other activities Ms.Potts had attempted to get Mr. Stark to engage in.”

Bruce just grinned opening the closet which was filled to the brim with what he would have assumed was just crap a moment ago but now saw the significance. Dancing shoes, romantic candles, board games, a large teddy bear, and underneath it all was a picnic basket with red checkers on it.

perfect he thought grabbing it and pulling it from the closet and closing the door before an avalanche covered him. He shoved the items that were previously in tony’s hands into the basket picked it up and laced his fingers into tony’s now empty one.

“now we can go” he said with a grin.

Tony was a little embarrassed when JARVIS revealed the 'secret' location of all his failed romantic encounters (usually interrupted by an idea that couldn't wait in the lab), like Bruce was opening a door to his past and taking a peek. He laughed nervously as the physicist filled the basket, wondering what the man must think, but he didn't speak a word about it thankfully. Tony wondered if he could do any better this time around, trying for a long-term relationship with Bruce, or if he'd mess something up. 'Don't be silly,' he thought to himself as they headed down to the garage, 'Bruce is different. He /likes/ the lab; he can't get mad at you if you spend your time there.'

Bruce just grinned sliding into the seat offered to him, “this one is just perfect” he said with a smile settling the basket into the back seat. “come on tony, my stomach is growling.”

The innovator quickly rounded the front of the vehicle and got in behind the steering wheel. He snagged one of his many pairs of sunglasses (these tinted a dark red) and put them over his eyes. He pulled the sunvisor down enough to grab the key from its hiding spot and slid it into the ignition. Tony grinned as he revved the eight cylinder engine a couple of times showoffishly before putting the car into reverse and backing out. "Hold on, big guy," he warned, switching gears and sending the R8 roaring out of the garage and onto the streets of Manhattan.

Bruce didnt think the electricity that filled him when Tony’s lips touched his would ever go away, and to be honest he really hoped it didnt. “we shall.” he responded opening his door and dragging the basket out with him. He was giddy, completely excited and he couldn’t hold it in. He had the urge to pinch himself just to be clear that he wasn’t dreaming. “i think i see the perfect spot.” he declared grin plastered over his face he took Tony’s hand and dragged him to a half shaded area under a tree that was surrounded by flowers.

'Take the guy's hand once and he'll be taking yours any chance he got,' Tony thought to himself. He put his other hand into his slack's pocket, strolling just a pace behind Bruce as he allowed the man to lead him along. There were other people at the park besides them-- no one really noteworthy, but a few of them obviously recognized him (and perhaps the doctor). Tony just gave them a smile as they went by. When they got to 'the perfect spot', he couldn't supress a laugh. "You and the big guy both really have a thing for flowers, don't you?"

“they are facinating, and just being around them does seem to calm me down quite a bit so i assume i should take that as a indicator that the other guy enjoys them as well.” He said pulling the bread out from the bag and making a sandwich from it and then handing it to Tony. “here, eat. You dont do it enough” he said with a grin.

"Yes, mom," Tony took said sandwich and rolled over onto his back as he took a massive bite. It wasn't bad, maybe a little heavy on the mayo, but he wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't Bruce's intention, trying to get a few more calories in him. He chewed as he studied the sky. "You know, I don't get a lot of 'calm'," he wondered aloud, full mouth and all. "Kind of a nice change of pace."
