Well, in all honesty, it looked like Shun shanked himself. But at least he was still standing..
And then, the noise stopped. Thank jack the noise had stopped! But as Poke swiveled her heard around, her jaw dropped in a slightly comical fashion as the giant mass of bones..began to fall apart.
Ahh, yes, nothing like dodging a cascade of bones before it crushed you flat.
The dragon quickly turned around, her footing uneven as she scrambled to open her wings and get off the ground before she was flattened by the degree. Jumping off the ground, she barely managed to dodge all the pieces before she got above the chimera, flapping wildly to maintain a increase in altitude.

Now that she was out of harms way, it was time for a counter attack. Circling above, Poke opened her jaws, a sphere of water forming between them. Once she believed her attack was powered up, she took aim and threw it at the chimera.
And watched as it flew straight into a wall.

The noise stopped and the paralyzed strix managed to make it back to his feet. His head still rang due to his sensitive hearing but at the bones exploded and shot out around him he still managed to take to the air once more.
He hovered above, catching his breath and avoiding easily the bones flung his way.

With the others falling and failing under the bone attack, Ulmuka began to gather FEAR. His talons and beak lit and glowed and with an almighty SCREECH he slammed himself into the shuddering form of the skeleton.
It shuddered, creaked and whined, and more pieces fell around it.
HP: 40 / 40

She could hear the sounds of battle around her, and had she been in any other mindset she'd have been riled to join her fellows in their onslaught of the beast. Logic said they were winning, but logic wasn't strong enough to push past the chimaera's song as it filled the ghoul's ears and held her immobile under a veil of utter despair. It didn't matter how much they fought, or how how close they got to beating the thing, they would die there. It was a theme among the students, something to expect even on normal occasions, and now? That knowledge gave strength to the hopelessness the ghoul was feeling. Why bother to try? It wouldn't save them.
So much for lending help to her friends and fellow students. Hadiyya couldn't even help herself. She was useless on this trip. No, less then that even.
Pain in her shoulder snapped her attention away from her internal pessimism, and she stared in shock up at the dark skinned woman that had just attacked her. A horsemen, supposedly their comrade, and still she had struck.
Something was happening though. The efforts of the others were starting to have a very solid effect on the multi-headed beast, and the cacophonous melody began to fade as the glowing lights snuffed out, one by one, in the giant skulls that rose above them. And as the lights died, so did the song that filled their ears, and with it the insanity it had put within all their heads.
She blinked up at the monster, and without the influence of the beast's song she was no longer pinned down by despair and fear. With nothing to cloud her mind she could plainly see they were winning. It was falling apart, right before her eyes.
...And right on top of her. A massive bone broke from the beast as it writhed above her, and the ghoul was barely able to throw herself to the side to avoid being crushed beneath it's massive weight. Another one followed, crashing onto the cave floor in a flurry of dust and ice, then another, and another. The entire exterior of the chimaera was crumbling, and the enormous chunks of it's body were raining down on the students!
Two more nearly flattened her, but the djinn had been able to narrowly escape. Again and again she managed to escape death by the skin of her teeth, scrambling on hands and feet to get out from shadows of the falling calcified chucks. It wasn't graceful, but it was effective. To a point. Before the djinn could do so much as get her feet beneath her a massive piece of falling bone claimed her. There was no pain, no fear or regret. It was all over much to fast for that. In an instant the ghoul was gone, crushed, then dissipated. Reduced to nothing more then particles of scattered fear.
[Dissipated!]

Tess struggled as best as she could against the infernal song, staying to Sheridan and grounding herself with his presence. Unfortunately, being so high up made her the perfect target for the hail of teeth and claws. She didn't even have enough time to call out to the dragon boil before pain lanced at her from everywhere and she dissipated.

Mmur staggered forward as he was shoved hard by a ghost student he didn't know. He supposed the number of scarelings he hadn't become acquainted with was quite large, but this was hardly the way to make an introduction. He shot the wolfos a surprised glance as he regained his footing. Mmur supposed this one had been infected by something other than despair to be rampaging around like he was. Thankfully, the sadness that had blanketed Mmur was completely gone now, just in time to...
Dodge a downpour of pointy bones. Great.
His gaze darted around the cavern as he tried to guess where the shards might land. Mmur crouched, then burst forward as others were crushed into oblivion around him, sidestepping the falling hazards with relative ease. His borrowed coat slowed him down considerably, and not for the first time today he wondered how death clansmen managed to live under the oppressive binding of so many layers.
He skidded to a halt in front of the monstrous chimaera a short while later, pulling his helm down low and crouching into a battle-ready stance.

Petro was too slow on shaking off the effects of the singing to move out of the way of the jaw. Ironic that bone would crush bone to the point of dissipation.

It wasn't until the song began to fade that the horsewoman realized what she had done. Wide, heterochromic eyes stared down at the ghoul she had attacked, and for a moment Nergui wasn't sure what to do. Offering assistance seemed.. Wrong some home, but so did simply walking away. Of course that awkward dilemma solved itself as enormous chunks of ancient bone began to rain done on top of them and everyone was sent scattering. The ghoul Neru had hurt dove tot he side, and the priestess was forced to do the same. She didn't see the very same ghoul crushed moments after, though even if she had she probably wouldn't have cared. She had better things to worry about.
Like making sure she didn't fall victim to the same fate. Combination of agility and luck helped see the priestess through the falling debris, and when she reached the wall of the cave she practically hugged it, making as small a target as physically possible.

One by one the horsemen watched as students began disappearing, lost beneath the crushing weight of fragmented bone. At this rate they were going to be lucky to walk out of there with half the people that had gone in.
Nergui knew what had to be done. It wasn't appealing, but that didn't matter. Fear had never kept her from action before, and it certainly wouldn't now.
Summoning her blade once again the horsewoman charged at one of the flailing skulls as it neared the floor of the cave. She aimed for one of the empty eye sockets, driving her blade into the blackness and dragging it over the edge and along the top. A jagged, ugly gouge following in her wake before she jumped back once again.

As suddenly as the chimaera had started singing, it stopped. Leo figured it'd probably something to do with the rather severe beating it had taken - despite being overwhelmed by the song, the group was still rather fearsome in their attacks, she thought.
And as the thing was defeated by her fellow adventurers, she let out a loud 'whoop!'. This was awesome! Really, it was; right until bones started dropping. Everywhere. Humongous, heavy bones that looked like they could take out a person in one hit; and from what she saw around her, they did.
Well, if that was how it was going to end, then that was how it was going to end. It wasn't the brightest idea she'd ever had, but Leo scrunched her eyes shut, stood still and waited for one of the bones to hit her.
A little while later, she peeked an eye open. Okay, that was weird.. she'd survived? Wow. Leo was boggled.
"Uh, is everyone okay?" Everyone who was still here, mind. She wasn't quite sure what she'd do if people were wounded and needed help, but one thing at a time.

Tyshina listened to the noise stop. She shook her head only to quickly notice she had other things to worry about. Pieces of the monster's bones were flying everywhere.
She quickly dodged and flipped over everything she could. Somehow she avoided every thing that came her way, bone wise. It was a miracle in her eyes, as she then looked around at everyone else.
"Is everyone okay," she whispered under her breath as she tried to get a quick glance. She wanted to see if everyone who had been with their group, before this terrible beast attacked, was okay. Since if they weren't maybe she could offer a hand or two. Ty's HP: 28

The famine horseman stood tall again when he realized the thing was dead. Or at least dead-er. Sadly, its state of animation didn't seem to stop the shower of bones that it was raining down upon them. He looked to several of the ghouls who were still standing. "Some are, some aren't," he replied vaguely. "But we should all still be careful." Mmur's whip flicked at one of the nearby motionless bones as he moved to take cover near a fallen skull. HP: 36/40 Damage: 1 Boss HP: overkill

For a moment, Enzo thought he was saved from the awkward moment with the cat-boil by the ominous sound of creaking and clattering.
He glanced up just in time to see the massive leg-bone lurching down onto him before he could even think of running. His hat went flying, The Boss vanishing in a puff of black smoke and for a moment, Enzo prepared himself for death....
That didn't come. With 1 HP left, that sucker clung to life like a cockroach in a nuclear storm. He groaned, twisting his fingers out between the stack of bones, praying someone would help.
HP: 26-25= 1
3- You get a kick out of a falling leg, as well as most of the rest of the body. -25 HP
