Kesisk, Defending Kesin from Kintsk
No! Kesisik flung herself in the way of the bronze who dared to charge at her handler. It meant she got barreled into herself and all but bowled over, but she could take the punishment better than Hers. You are very bad!

Kesin, Attacking Kintin
Kesin swore vehemently, backpedaling as the bronze charged for her, but Kesisk was quick to come to her rescue. Barely getting out of the way of the handler's attack, she swung her whip at him. They had to bring this pair down, and fast!

Celandsk, Defending Against Hanir
Again?! This time, distracted by another wher's call, Celandsk didn't see the kick coming in time. Though he recoiled, he was still hit solidly in the head. Stunned, and his head ringing, he staggered about, far too befuddled to even answer the other blue's question.

Celandine, Attacking Hanisk
"Celandsk!" No, no, this was going all wrong! And the attention of all the other combatants was focused elsewhere, leaving her to handle this blue and his bonded all by herself (and after she'd already fought someone else!). This was not fair, not fair at all, and now her poor wher had been beaten to the point where he was nearly out of commission. Baring her teeth, Celandine drew back her whip and lashed it at the man's blue again.

Action/Attacking Orlina "Thanks." He was glad the green wher had shown up when he did, blocking an attack for him, and took the kick from Orlina right in his stomach. It knocked the air out of him, but he merely grinned insanely at her. "Well, well, well." Another woman had joined him, one of his allies, and he had an actual smile for her. He was thankful for the help, and maybe now the fight might be a bit fairer. He threw a punch at Orlina, since Harmony was taking care of Riarna. Riarna
Defending from Harmony
Riarna cursed as the wher threw itself in the middle of the fight and fell back, afraid that the crazed animal would attack her as well. Whers had always been iffy; after this, Riarna knew that there was no chance they would be trusted or let live when they were so happy to maul humans.
She didn't have much more time to think, and was only able to defend herself from another attack from some woman new to the fight. The wher's handler? It didn't matter. Riarna knew, with a frightful certainty, that this battle was going to be bloody-- and it wasn't going to go in their favor. She had to save the child and go. Soon. Before they were outnumbered.

Orlina
Attacking Lyret
She let out a whimpering sort of cry when Lyret hit her again, then threw herself with more desperation than anger at him, hitting with fists and feet and anything she could think of to hurt him. She had to hope Riarna was okay, and that the wher didn't notice one so small as Orlina.
That was not a strong hope, but for the moment, it was the only thing keeping her from running away.

Ha! They weren't ganging up on him any more, were they? Showing her fangs the bright-hided green left the woman to her new opponent and sprang in front of the younger human with a snarl.
she called to the man she was protecting. The human child's fist struck her shoulder but she hardly even felt the blow. Fighting this one did not feel so brave as defending her other ally from the bronze, but even if the enemy was small she was still defending her friends!

Az'rin: getting crap scared out of him by Bade
He was terrified. End of story. And really wanted to get to Qizixth so that he didn't feel so alone right now. There were screams and screeches, both human and not so human. The chunky boy was praying to Faranth that he wouldn't run into whatever was making such horrible noises. His heart was thundering and Az'rin was positive it was going to give away his quiet trek through the halls, trying to get to a weyr he knew would be easy for his lifemate to meet him at.
Ohshards! What if...if Qiz was...being attacked! Az'rin swallowed thickly, easing around a corner. Q-Qiz are-
I am f-fine, Rinmine. Hurry p-please!
Okay. Okay his dragon was fine. He was fine. He could do this-
Someone spoke from behind him and Az'rin jumped nearly out of his skin, a startled cry escaping him before he slapped his hands over his mouth, turning slowly to stare behind him. He was totally freaked out. It was probably one of those here to hurt him! "I-I....I'm..." His voice was shaking, but the chunky boy paused, looking at the woman that had spoken. A rider. OhthankFaranth! "Are...you one of...um, t-the rider's that came to...help?" He asked her hesitantly.

Attacking Kesin
Obviously, since everyone was trying to protect her, the girl really was on her last legs. Kintin ignored the sting of a whip-- treating his fellow Pernese like beasts, clearly there was nothing human left in him-- and launched another attack at Kesin. She, too, had a whip, and it caught him in the chest as he tried to stop her. A Gold handler, behaving like this... Kintin was going to be sick.

Attacking Kesin
Kintsk attacked the Gold's handler again, determined to bring her down for Kintin. His handler was hurting, badly, but they would never back down so long as their enemies stood and innocents were still being hurt. Kintsk could smell the blood on the fallen humans. Bad blood. Bad.
He struck out with a sharp jolt of his head, looking to close his teeth around Kesin's thigh.

...And now Ficksk was in a fight with a kid. Well didn’t that just make him feel great? She wasn’t attacking the girl he supposed but....
Maybe he hadn’t made the right choice. No. He knew he hadn’t. Oh he believed in the message, course he did, and he still believed there would be no place for handlers amongst riders after this but... but he had made the wrong choice. Smart? Sure. Self-serving? Definitely. He hated how the arrogant p***k Kintin had been talking to him, hated how the Weyrs were run, how even some handlers were buying into the stupid rider ideals of ‘shiny equals better in some way’, but he had made the wrong choice.
It was the wrong choice, but he’d made it, and even if he could change it he wouldn’t. If the riders could spend eons being self-serving bastards, why shouldn’t he now? Lots of reasons, because two wrongs didn’t make right, but here he was all the same.
The set of Fick’s mouth hardened and he cracked his whip at Kintin again.

Yelping as the woman attacked him Hanisk gave ground, trying to get away from the horrible horrible whip.
