 Verin continued to walk through the courtyard with Jackie, both his hands in his pockets. At her question, he pulled out the left arm, the one with the tattoo, and pulled back his sleeve, revealing it. "This? Well, it's a little gift from someone. I'm grateful for it, but it can be a hassle sometimes. If any excess power needs to be released, I guess it tends to pulse, like now." He closed his left eye, reopening it to reveal the vortex once more. For a school such as this, it was odd for it to be this quiet. Verin brushes it off, thinking the others are busy, but leaving his eye the same. "Come to think of it, I should release it before it gets out of control." As he says this, a grin appears on his face, thinking of how to go about it.

 Jackie continued to walk with Verin, she was completely calm, she was actually smiling at Verin's statement that he needed to realese so power before he went haywire. Yamma, on the other hand was not so thrilled and let out a deep growl, but let Jackie do the talking. "Ya know you are going to get in trouble if you keep threatening us like that." The blonde said with a laugh, meaning to joke around. "I'm sure they have eyes and ears every where some how, I would be a little more careful if I were you." She continued to laugh, still joking around and still calm as if she hadn't noticed the tenacity in the air.

Verin laughed at Jackie's comment about the threats. "Ah, didn't mean to come off threatening, could just hit something else. Maybe something structural" he said, looking at the school building. The wolf seemed to be in some disapproval, but didn't take any action. Seemed as though the way Verin was acting was good enough to not provoke, for now anyway. "Ah yes, but you're right, I'm sure the academy may be listening in on us right this moment. But anyway, you don't mind me asking a few questions do you?" Verin was more curious about her own power. What was so special about her archery?

Jackie smiled a little brighter now and put a playfully defensive hand across Yamma "I know he may stand still sometimes and look like a statue, but please don't hit Yamma." Jackie laughed and pointed across the way to one of the weaker trees "That might be a bit better than hitting the school building." she said with a laugh before relaxing again. "'Course you can ask questions, it is only fair that way." she now put her hands in her pockets and awaited a question eagerly, glad to return the favor.

Verin turned his head to face Jackie, but then decided better, since the eye was still active. 'Well, you're good with the bow right? Mind if I see how good?" It would seem that Verin could give her the test after all, but with some minor modifications. "I could create some targets if you want." The only thing left was her pet wolf, whether he would take note or not. Guess he'd just have to wait and see, after all, the test was harmless. (Sorry, I got to head out now. Real sorry)

 Jackie's smile widened at the prospect of getting a little practis in, but Yamma let out a disapproving low growl. The blonde knew that it was probably not the smart thing to do but her curiousity got the best of her. She pulled a long cylinder out of her hoody's pocket and pressed a button on it, the device quickly transforming into a bow. I don't have my favorite bow on me but this one will do, Yamma agrees with the test as well, as long as no one and nothing will be hurt, killed, excetera, in anyway." With that Yamma took the que and stopped growling, but a threatening snarel remained on the wolf's face. A confident smile remained on Jackie's face, after all she could even hit a target behind her or with a blindfold on, it was just a talent of hers. (Ooc: It's all good, I need to be going to sleep any way smile )

Verin was glad that Jackie had decided to take up his test. He eyed Yamma for a moment, hoping that he wouldn't interfere of what he was about to do. Verin arched his back as the grin on his face spread, and now both of his pupils had the vortex. He took a few steps away from Jackie, making sure to get some distance between them. "Heh, get to finally offload some of the excess power." The spiral tattoo on Verin's arm was now glowing a crimson red as he seemed to create a black orb near his chest. The orb dissolved into a black flame that engulfed Verin's entire form, as the flame spread. The shadow took form, as the colors filled in, revealing Verin's hybrid form. "Now, let's begin." Ketsuekigasu Shaded version of Verin's form spread out around the courtyard, continuously moving. "Hit the shades, they can't fight back, they feel no pain. Unless you want me to create just one."((Sorry about the really late post >.< ))

Jackie smile dropped a little, sensing that there was something up with this asside from a release of power. Regardless of her better judgement she pulled her quiver out of her pocket as well. At first it looked like a cylinder much like the bow had been but soon turned into a much larger bag that the archer put on her back for a quick draw of arrows with multiple effects. After gearing up Jackie stopped moving completely, it even looked like she had stopped breathing for a moment, then she placed an arrow, drew the draw string back and shot behind her at one of the shades. Then in a matter of moments she let arrows fly at two other shades. The archer not really trying quiet yet and knew Verin would notice "So what is the pourpus of this... Test?" The girl could feel Yamma's want to ask himself but if he moved too much he knew Jackie might think he was going to attack Verin, so he simply sat on the sidelines quietly. (Ooc: It's all good smile )

 Khai had been standing above the two in a nearby tree using his forearm as support against the tree with his presence hidden to even the teachers and his heart beat quite and matching the beat of a butterflies wings keeping him hidden even from superior hearing abilities.

Well, at least she could use the bow, but I can't really do anything with just the shades... Verin sighed and drew the shades back into himself, as they melded into his form. Focusing power for a second, he creates a single shade, this one more a crimson red than the shade's black. "You'll find out, but would you like to try something more... exciting? I'm sure the wolf won't mind now would he?" Verin's eyes still retained the vortex, continuously searching the area if anyone was nearby. He noticed a slight blurry spot by a tree, but disregards it as a bird or squirrel. Odd.. Shifting his focus now to the wolf, checking to see if he wouldn't mind. No killing on school grounds, not now.

Yamma watched Verin closely, then felt a disterbance and looked to the tree Verin was looking at and let out a low growl, at both the shade and the ninja. Jackie quickly turned around and looked at where Verin and Yamma were looking and waved happily. "Hi khai, it's been a while since I've seen you, how have you been?" Jacki remained at the ready, careful not to get comfortable with Verin so ready to fight.

Khai laughed softly as he stepped from the tree's coverage."Hello again."He smiled noticing the other guy then looked back at Jackie."Alright just been doing some homework and other stuff the usual."He shrugged then looked back at the man and even though he had appeared to be in a casual normal state he had already planned out several different ways to take the student out.

 Verin's eyes went to the newcomer, scanning his body. It would appear that by his body composition, he was human, albeit one more powerful than the average. He was getting less surprised now by the interruptions, since this was after all an academy for students. "Can we continue? Or would you two like to catch up. I can find you when you're more... available." As he said this, the crimson shade began to meld back into Verin's hybrid form, retreating into his shadow. His eyes went back and forth between the new guy and Jackie. "Or you could take her place, if she's fine with it anyway."

Khai shrugged with a slight smirk and sat down on the tree branch watching the two."I don't know thats completely up to her."He said in a casual tone waiting for their response.

Jackie shrugged "There isn't really much to catch up on for my part..." She was more or less being honest, but it wasn't like they were best friends or anything anyway The archer shrugged again and looked at Verin "You are the makeshift attacker in this 'test' I guess it is up to you." The girl waited patiently while keeping an eye on the near-by growling Yamma and waiting on Verin's verdict. (Ooc: sorry for the extremely late reply, school started up for me and also one of my relatives is in the hospital with about 5 days to live so I've been spending most of my free time with her, sorry crying )
