"I'd vote for the first option," Jordan put in. "We're upstairs already; we may as well give the area a thorough looking-over. There may be another way down somewhere, also. I'd prefer to avoid climbing out windows if we can. It's risky, and it's also pretty visible from outside."

Dakota nodded.
"Do we stick as teams again? Or do we do Solo of the upstairs...like a room each?" The moon hunter barely flicked a gaze at his team member Wilson. They were still at ends with each other and just because the moonie defended him, didn't mean he had to like it.

Wilson crossed his arms. "Probably in teams, right?" he answered as he looked over at Cass.

"Teams. While going solo is quicker in terms of the area covered, it seems these things move quickly and could easily overtake someone who's back isn't covered." she noted. "I want to know everybody is accounted for. Even if someone gets grabbed while the other's back is turned, that leaves someone to holler that something happened."

"Cool, Can I stick with Jordan then?" Dakota all but sent a pleading look to the sun hunter. One that said please don't let me be paired with Wilson again...we're still in brotrayal status.

Jordan's eyebrows lifted, but he said nothing about the apparent disagreement. Instead he said, "Okay. Dakota and I will check the rooms in this direction - " he indicated the hall in the direction in which the stairs had been, " - and we'll stay together and yell if something happens. I suggest we meet back here in the hall before moving to another floor, if we can. Sound good, Cass?"

"Sounds good to me. So Cass and I check in the other direction?" he double-checked as he looked toward the mist hunter.

"Well let's not stand around and dwadle around anymore..." Dakota rubbed the palm of his hands on his coat and moved with Jordan to check the rooms on their side of the divided upstairs.
He looked back at the leader and smiled. With the kids gone, Cass seemed a lot more alert but relaxed...or was it just him?

"If you don't think you can yell, text." Cass pulled her phone out of her pocket and wiggled it back and forth once, before patting Wilson's shoulder.
"Either way, better get moving quick to keep anything more from vanishing up in this place."

"Let's check the stairs first," Jordan said to Dakota. "If they're still gone, we can start at the end of the hall and check each room as we return." He headed down the hall towards the end where the stairs had vanished,

Wilson nodded toward Cass. "Alright." He watched Jordan and Dakota head down the hallway for a moment before he began to head in the opposite direction. Every once in a while he would look back to make sure Cass was still in his sight.

size=11]Dakota fell in step with Jordan as they split up, following him to the stairs with a grunt of agreement. Chama rested in the sheath on his thigh as he caustiously looked around. the hell they would take him by surprise again! Or he hoped they wouldn't.... "Are there even any stairs here?"

Cass moved the opposite direction with Wilson, carefully nudging the first door they came to open with her weapon and a frown. That 'more relaxed' was turning back into that 'more tense than she was normally' again.
She took a guarded step inside to check and see if anybody was there.

Scarcely had the moon trainee finish speaking before something caught him off-breath. There was a sudden pressure applied to his abdomen, forcing him to a stop. Further examination of the area revealed that there was something there, something solid and waist high. There were areas they could feel, follows by gaps where there was nothing but air. There wasn't anything visually out of he ordinary aside from the fact that where the stairs were there was nothing but a solid-looking floor. Something makes you want to watch your step... In the room Cass checked, nothing was out of the ordinary. It was dark, lit only by the street lamps glowing softly further down the street.
