Riot's head tilted a little to the side as Kai's communication faintly came to him, though severely faded, he was sadly too weak to respond......
"Looks like 'someone' has lost their marbles." Came from Blitz as he lowered his gun as soft click sounded from the device. A galp uncomfortably caught him as he was suddenly whisked away by Kreig.
The Hell!?
As blurred thoughts came to reason, suddenly swinging faintly in Kreig's arms he was suddenly in the pit of Squall.
The Liger, released a hiss as his head lowered to welcome the Raptor and pilot. He was more then ready to leave, and it was about time they showed up. The smaller Zoid had become a bit nervous to be with out pilot and to be impendingily over towered by the two colossal Zoids. And not to mention the attack on the pub...
Needless to say, it was about time.
Scooping up Pilot and Organiod, the WingLiger with out command from pilot by from Kreig took off running, booster at full it stayed on the ground to avoid the missiles.

Nick breathed wearily. With a great amount of struggle she managed to turn her head despite the resistance of the cords pulling at her face and neck to give Riot a glance.
The glowing orb in Blaze's mouth begun to flicker as it gained less and less charge for the attack. ...Kai, she had spent more than a year thinking that her sister was dead, had she just tried to...?
Her mind tried to reach Edge and Kai if only to feel they were still alive. However, before she could focus any further on Kai, or Edge the core's own cords clicked before several much smaller cords emerged than plunged into Nick's skin. Each incision no larger than a needle. The tiny cords could be seen slithering under the skin as they attached to her muscles.
Nick tensed once more at the sting and pull of the cords feeding off what energy they could. Her mind begun to slip away once more. Blood, with a subtle crimson hue, begun to slide from the corners of her widened eyes, mouth, ears, nails and incision points along her skin. Her screams were muffled to little more than blood choked gurgling. The core begun to pulse.
Blaze's maw opened wide before the full force of the cannon was released upon the former bar.
Saga took Blaze's momentary internal distraction to move toward the bar in search for his pilot. The time allotted was not enough to even reach the bar before the massive beam was unleashed. In a last effort to save his master Saga dove toward the bar, in a direct path of the massive energy beam unleashed.
Jury released a screech at the sudden flash of light. All attention turned toward Edge and Kai as he continued charge forward. This land was about to be forcefully altered...

As Squall Thundered as quickly as he could from the Bar, the black liger could not move fast enough to not be engulfed by the stampeded of dust and the Light that over took his metal frame.....
Even with Krieg fused to his core, it seemed to be all in vain as Everything was consumed in the expulsion.
As the planet's earth shuttered, the Zoid it's self rattled to the blast- in greater force it came as the explosion caught up with the Liger.
What fate had the Black liger and his' pilot's suffered could only be known once the dust had cleared, and the fallout settled.

The slightly blue-flamed simmering beast of a Jager that stood watching the bar from some distance away could be seen turning and bolting at top speed without a pilot or any notable external command.
The brilliant blue jet of energy that lingered a little too long up above the bar finally seemed to make a decision and dove, fusing with the tremendous screeching Jury.
And the golden Seeker and his human wasted no time in running as well, their distance admirable- but could it possibly be enough?

Blitz's head roll ageist the pad of his seat, Squall's pit rattled as if the pit had been transformed into the tail of a rattler. Screens pop up in a fuzzed and erratically danced around the com of the dazed pilot. Though most intelligible, and fazed with interference, the speakers seemed to hiss with discontentment.
A Single teal eye slowly opened, It was slowly welcomed with the flickering of the light of the zoid. The blue glow of life from the controls seemed to pulse as if the creatures heart beat. Slow and steady.
Reaching up a head, Blitz knew the inevitable. Just as sure as the hair on his chinny-chin-chin. Squall's controls had seized up with some unknown kind of interference. Though the Liger's body pulse and rived with the strong will of life, even as it had suddenly dropped and skidded to a halt. like a injured animal, that had been first injured and then stalked by a stronger animal of pray.
Crippled.
Fearful.
Unable to move, yet...Still desperately tried. Knowing death was coming, still desiring to save the human that had chosen to stay...
In a combination of scraping metal and The weak roar of pain that left the black Liger, Blitz could only feel remorse. He had chosen to stay, and this was the outcome.
"I am sorry, Gentleman. But I call, Checkmate." Left Blitz in his blur consciousness, a sour swallowed moved in the tight chest of male. He had done this....and they had fallowed.
A heavy hand moved to the controls of the pit, a hand skillfully danced as if it was typing the final masterworks of a life's work. As the keys where imputed, a manual latch was unarmed from the side of the pit. It was red and alarming.
"It's been a pleasure..." Sounded timidly from the male as his hand grasped the control that was a manual shut off for Squall's core.
"Good night, sweet princes..." Slipped quietly from Master's as he turned off the core. Saving and sparing the Zoid the pain of death...
Heh, Admittedly he didn't think it would end in such a way.....
Just when things had started to look just a bit brighter. A flame to be rekindled, after years of only being warm ash and charcoal. Awakened faintly to only be snuffed out.
As the Light of the pit faded, as if a heart slowly stilled from it's beats. The Poetic male let his eye fall close. Dark soitary...
"Tyger, tyger burning bright in the forest of the night..." Rolled softly from the Republic soldier.
'Blitz Mischief Master. Corporal, airborne Liger division.' It did make a good headstone title....
"What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?" Then left the man in a let out breath, as his mind worked to be fair from the known fate that rest his body and soul.
As he told Kreig, only known poets...are dead ones.
"In what distant deeps or skies, Burnt the fire of thine eyes?" Letting that teal eye slip open, it looked upon the light from the blast that started to engolful the dark around him from the Liger's slumbering pit.
"On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare seize the fire? "
A smile shown on his lips....the rattling of the Iron cage became great. It was his time soon. He would see his father, and Chase again vary soon...
the beating of his heart seemed to quicken, at the excitement of such, though it quickly raced as it quickly lept to the reminder what he had missed and what he had yet experienced. What he could have had in life. What he would never know.
There was so much......
Yet....His hand raised as he released the breath and caused halt to the madding thoughts of his mind, and the ache he felt in his heart. His hand rose and turned upward, his pointer finger and thumb touched, and with the extension of his pinkie. The task was complete.
"Like a sir...."

Kreig could feel the core cooling as Blitz granted it a mercy. The organoid allowed this with no resistance, instead he curled tighter around the core, regretful he could not pull his friend out of this situation. If he tried to rocket to the sky he would be incinerated regardless.
Kreig was able to communicate with Blitz before the core was completely shut off and communications were severed. If organoids could grin Kreig would be doing so now. No regrets. He was proud of his friend regardless.
Jury turned around to face the black wing blade as it tried in vein to avoid the catastrophic explosion. He released a screech before altering his course and charging forward once more.

There was a sound behind him he didn't like. It wasn't one of those sounds he liked hearing. It made him want to run forever... and he felt...guily.
He had ran. And ran..and ran.... There had been the vacuum of sound, the air pulling Tyrant and his companions back. Talon was scared for his life for the first time since coming to terms with his luck and fate. He could die... What would happen to Altelius? Clacker? Moe? .... Tyrant? . His mind was racing as he did his best to outrun the blast wave. He barely made it out of the death zone by twenty miles or so.
Tyrant's balance faltered, and despite its best efforts against the sand and hard rock the wave was pulling him towards the epicenter... Back to his death, back to where everyone there was probably dead.
' Why? Why am I running?' Talon wheeled Tyrant around, the Zoid sensing its pilot's resolve to just...survive or die at this point. But...he had to help. Blitz, was it? He was worth trying to save. A good soul. A wonderful soul. Someone who had the perfect amount of cynicism to make it out of a horrible situation with a smile on his face. Talon, for small moment, felt guilty just running away.
Clacker let out a worried 'tch' and clung to the top of the cockpit. Moe clug to Talon's arm as the human stared at the monitors. The blast was blinding, he held up a hand to block it. The sounds of to cockpit whirlled in his ears; a constant hum he just now noticed just barely audible normally, but loud in this silent world. He watched as the wave of sand barreled at him.
"Oh." he said softly to himself as that large dirt wall rammed into him, jolting him, slamming him around despite the wonderful saftey harnesses. He could hear, just over the roar of the sand, Tyrant screaming in agony as its 'skin' was torn with whatever was inside that cloud...
...moments after the impact, Talon blacked out.
... But he lived.

Marcia had returned to catastrophe some time ago and they had been making their way from the bar, Marcia had to walk a ways to rendezvous with her zoid and that took some time, but eventually they set out as a leisurely pace, had Marcia known what she had been looking for was set to appear she may not have left in the first place, perhaps some one still wanted her alive... Settled in catastrophe's cockpit a shudder ran down her spine as she instinctively reached for the chimera necklace she wore, what was it?
The feeling of the dark as it creeps up on you flowed over her, she was frightened, too much so to turn the zoid around and see what was happening.
Catastrophe did it for her whirling around and watching for a moment the horizon, nothing he could see but he felt, and heard, he would never forget an old rival, very few zoids could rival him and his armor, Saga was one of them, Catastrophe roared in response he could hear the chimera's voices, and sense the presence of the dark creature that had torn at his pilot's mind. He was unable to bring himself to move further but likewise unable to return to the bar knowing full well it would mean certain death for his pilot. the zoid and pilot could only watch.
The sky lit up and Marcia felt herself sink into the pilot's chair more. Everyone that had been there would be dead... Marcia felt catastrophe nearly loose his balance in the initial wind blast snapping herself out of the daze she had fallen into the zoid roared, as she suddenly had Catastrophe turn and run, a variety of other zoids she saw running from the scene all trying to escape, and others were consumed by that light.. the final roar of its rival could be heard before everything was silenced and a sense of urgency to survive took over.
The zoid ran as fast as it could he could feel his hell armor disintegrating revealing the mechanics inside, catastrophe ran, and ran, most of its armor gone the zoid stumbled, and roared painfully, as it vanished, catastrophe collapsed to the sands, before Marica asked him to stand again, catastrophe hoveled to its feet slowing making its way back, to the center of the scene limping painfully all the way, as his scorched armor began it's long and slow repair.
Marcia could feel blood flowing from her head, she reached to touch it, it wasn't too bad, Catastophe and Agumo had protected her she knew she was asking a great deal to have them continue moving but they couldn't stay in one place that much was certain.
Marcia was determined to find survivors... if there was any.
The zoid hobbled closer and uttered a low pained growl, as it began to approach a familiar badly damaged green stripped zoid. Marcia couldn't tell if the cockpit was in tact or not, or if there was even anyone in side. Marcia flicked on her radio,
"Is anyone out there alive?"

' Is anyone out there alive? ' It echoed off the walls of his brain, forcing him to wake up. Or was it the frantic nudging of both a spider and a mini quadraped taking turns nudging his head. Was he alive? Was this hell? No, it was too silent to be hell. A rumbleing tremmor ran through the cockpit, or wherever he was laying in. Tyrant...is still alive. He opened an eye, winced at the bright light pouring through a few of the shattered monitors... And sand. Would the communications work? Probably not.
He hacked and coughed, trying to sit up. One side of his shoulders could. The other... A hallowed, pained cry escaped. His... shoulder. Was his arm dislocated!? Probably...there was also some glass and metal shrapnel sticking out of it ( Just some minor flesh wounds really. He'll live, it'll scar horribly...), and a bit stuck in his chest along the right side. In fact, that was where the majority of the ZOID damage was. Gritting his teeth, he snarled and spat, a string of pained curses echoing. Another low rumble, and to Talon he could sense the shared sentiments from his badly damaged savior.
Moe let out a chirp, a hoot, and a squeak. It was worried. So worried. He gave Talon an affectionate nose bump ( softer than normal) before scrambling, skittering, and wriggling through a hole to find the source of this inquiry of status. The little Moe monster blinked up at the skeleton zoid, tilted its head to the side and thought for a moment. Well, this thing looked pretty damaged too. In fact, it looks just about as damaged if not more so damaged than the poor Tyrant and master. Moe's tail thumped on the sand and soon he was hopping up and down, barking, yelling, squeaking, and hooting and hollering for some help here.
Not that the yells and curses and screams of pain coming from the battered Tyrant did anything to help. Did I mention Talon lived? Yeah he lived. His shoulder just would be out of comission for a long, long time. "Damn you.....Altelius...Where's Altelius! MOE! Where's that damned bird! " Panic was setting in again. The bird, where was he? Where was his Seeker? Did he make it out alive? Was he damaged? Did the gust blow him far away?
... Well... crap.

The Chaos Blade Jager sped across the land at speeds likely unheard of for any ground unit. But he had been too close- much too close- in an attempt to 'catch' his team to completely escape the blast. As the wall of disintegrating light ate away at the land just beneath his metallic paw prints, and the blades of his tail singed and burned, melting off of their very braces, the Jager's body erupted in a blue-fire-light. A mystical fire that looked much like the blaze that overtakes Edge upon fusion covered the Jager's armour and visual mechanisms. The moment the shield surrounded him, he spun and braced himself against the blast that, in miliseconds, engulfed him.
As the blast faded, the Jager remained intact. As the dust cleared, it revealed his form laying half covered by the sands from miles away. The Zoid looked dead as the second shockwave quickly passed, shifting the sand piles off most of him. Blank eyes flickered for a moment, but went out again. Another couple of minutes more, the blackened eyes flickered and re-lit. Growls rose up through the Chaos Zoid as he forced himself to stand, mechanisms creaking and complaining against every attempt at motion. The flames along his back blades were weak, but present. He shook himself and after a brief moment of consideration, tilted his head back and roared savagely into the sky.
As the echo faded, he forced his damaged mechanisms into function to head back towards the bar- or more specifically towards the Jury and his Kai.
For Marcia's search for life through radio, she would get a weird response from somewhere. The Jager opened a com-link, but there was nothing said beyond the eerie background of static and silence.
Although Arrow was impressively fast for something that looked like nothing more than an organoid, he wouldn't be fast enough with his limited stride to out run the majority of the blast like that Jager had. The blast wall gained on him quickly, and overtook him quicker. His back feet were stripped from the soil first, and his entire form seemed to be picked up by the end of the blast.
Thrown back feet over head, he landed on the ground hard, skid a few meters more, and then was overtaken by the blast mid-air.
Light within the light would be hard to see, but the impact of the blast ripped Rhett straight from Arrow's core- the core that just barely managed to protect the man's life. The man was left unconscious and alone in the middle of the stripped desert. Burns etched his back and down one arm that also appeared to be broken. Lacerations ringed his limbs and thorax, which beneath his shirt was extremely bruised- hinting towards the likelyhood of not only multiple broken ribs, but probably a punctured lung and other significant organ damage. The organoid, as the dust and light faded, was nowhere to be seen.
Some ways away, the caracal, while still in one piece, laid as a rigid statue partially covered by the sands. Every limb seemed cemented in the last pose it'd had while running for its life. No life glowed in its eyes. It was silent. Silent and frozen in time.

Catastrophe even stripped of his armor was still quite menacing after all he was still a hulking skeleton. The zoid gave a low roar not in a threatening manner for once, and tilted it's head at tyrant examining the sub geno. Catastrophe found he was surprised Tyrant had avoided damage, as well as it did though the damage was still quite extreme. however something else caught his attention quickly, the same empty com signal Marcia was listening to, Catastrophe heard something else, the roar of another damaged zoid, giving a couple of distinct growls followed by a roar that seemed to carry across the sands perhaps asking the Mirage jager to wait... not that there was any safety in numbers when the Jury was concerned.
"What is it?" she asked the zoid, as she continued to hope some sort of signal would come in from the pilots, any of the pilots, something though was moving in Tyrant's cockpit, "Catastrophe get me down there now," she told the zoid urgently, whatever Catastrophe could sense would have to wait this would be a long process of scanning the sands to find survivors, and perhaps if Talon was still alive so too would be some others.
Marcia slipped out of the cockpit as soon as Catastrophe lowered it's head to the ground, Marcia could hear the screams of pain from the battered tyrant's cockpit Marcia made her way to the base of the cockpit as quickly as she could without tripping. "Catastrophe help me open the cockpit we need to get Talon out of there, "I'm sorry Tyrant I'll make sure we find a good body shop for you after..." she talked to the wounded sub geno patting it on the head.
From her own cockpit Lola leaping over the damages with ease and hopping back onto Marcia's shoulder. she wanted to be close to the woman, it was scary here, so much power still hung in the air.
Catastrophe with its long skeletal fingers was being strangely delicate, when prying open the cockpit...
"Talon," he was alive, but very wounded, she had her share of bruises and scrapes but nothing this bad, and she had catastrophes armor to thank for it... so many weren't as lucky. "Lola, grab me the med kit quickly." she smiled softly at the little monkey, who protested for a moment before leaving it's perch on her shoulder and returning with the med kit.
Marcia wasn't looking forward to all the work she had to do...

Despite the now burning pain in his shoulder that was pinned ( the more he thought about it the more it hurt, it seemed), Talon made out the approach of another Zoid. Even Tyrant's damaged servos tried to move to acknowledge this creature...that hadn't hurt them. In fact, the Tyrant recognized Catastrophy, letting a pathetic, whimper of a hiss out in greeting. It, as well as its pilot, was in a lot of pain. Alive... And would heal. They both knew it.
Moe ran over to Marcia as she came down, hooting and squeaking in worry and fear. Running back and forth from the cockpit where he wriggled out back to the woman that was approaching. Over and over and over.... until the bony fingers reached out to help pry the damaged and underpowered shield open. Moe let out a mournful coo, and Talon let out another curse as light hit his sensitive eyes.
Really the only thing that was keeping him pinned was his dislocated shoulder and shrapnel, other wise he would be scrambling and running the hell away, or trying to shoot those bone fingers that creaked, crushed, and lifted the damaged canopy. There was a monster on the loose, and it was going to kill them all at this rate. Missels. He remebered seeing missels...heading towards his ... Oh dear gods. Ranee. Ranee could be dead. So could Shun. So could... For a moment he gulped dryly as his imagination ran away with the mental carnage that could be his home, his city....
... That was the pain talking. It had to be. There was no way an entire city would be leveled like that... He held up his good hand, blocked out some of the light and squinted at this 'Florence Nightingale' come to save him. "Marcia...? "
A distant echo of another roar -- Liger class, probably-- momentarily froze Talon. It wasn't haunting...it sounded wounded. Maybe that pilot needed more help than he? What if they were aligned with the enemy? ( At this point, Talon was associating anyone willingly aligned with the Judge, Jury, and that lot as the Enemy. It seemed like the logical thing to do.) A glance at Moe, worried, with Tacker slowly slinking its way out of the cockpit to lean against its quadrupedal friend told Talon all that he needed to know: He wasn't' getting out of this without help, and he would need to help find survivors, which means...he needed to fix Tyrant.
"I don't suppose you have any pain pills on you right now? " he joked with a pained smirk. Yes, he did see that medical kit. Yes, he was thinking that there had to be some strong medicine in there...hopefully... And yes, he was laughing because it distracted him from the trauma. . . . This might be why the Judge liked him. Maybe.

A few moments after Tyrant's canopy had been pried open, the Liger-class Zoid that was likely the one that roared minutes ago appeared just over a ridge in the distance. Its approach was at a walk rather than a run, and it stopped some distance from Catastrophe. It had listened to the biozoid's call, and responded with its presence.
It was notably damaged, but not nearly to the extent the other Zoids within the blast had been. The blades of its tail were missing off of the frames that had held them there, its armor was fractured in many places. Its mechanisms smoked, and it held one leg up slightly off the ground like an injured cat might limp. To Catastrophe and Marcia, the Liger-type was familiar... but not the same as what they once knew.
The Jager had four back blades now, two of which seemed permanently on fire with a ghostly blue flame. The once-red eyes were gone, replaced with that same eerie ancient hue of its wicked blades. It was much bigger, yet much sleeker and looked six times- at least- as fast as it did before. Serrated blades arose from a multitude of angles. Shadow-blue long 'ears' perked towards them as it watched from there.
It was the Chaos Blade Jager, no longer the Mirage. And it had obviously been touched by the powers of the ancient beings which Talon loved so very much.
Somewhere within the blast radius, though just beyond the region of the death zone, some life seemed to flush back into the face of Rhett. Grimaces preceded eyes which groggily opened, blinking against the blinding sunlight above. He groaned as his body attempted to take a deeper breath, pain surging through his body as an unrelenting wave which simply wouldn't pass. The breath turned into a cough that produced blood moreso than air, and contracted muscles down upon his fractured ribs.
"Wh-..." No real voice accompanied the air and wet gurgling that was the only thing that could get past his lips. "Where..." He couldn't get up, nor did he want to. Where was he? Who was he? What.. what had happened?

Blaze's crimson eyes flashed as the chaos begun to settle all around him. Despite the intense and destructive fire from the explosion the colossal ZOID remained without so much as a scratch on its extensive armor.
He released a bellow as his attention moved from the Jury to the collective survivors just on the outer limits of what sands had turned to glass.
Jury's head lifted to glance at the colossal beast before turning slight attention to the survivors. Just as Blaze, the Jury remained without even the slightest scratch from the explosion. Actually, from ground zero those were the only two beings still standing. Even Saga's former armor was completely melted away as was any other ZOID in the parking lot. Thankfully his focus returned to his cupped hands without so much as a second glance to the survivors.
---
-"Do you need assistance?"- A transmission from unknown origins successfully sounded to both the Tyrant and Catastrophe, the message would not be hindered by system freezes or communication blocks. The voice on the other end belonged to that of an elderly gentleman it seemed.
Atelius had yet to make an appearance.

What a hyper active little mrz Marcia sighed as she had to avoid moe approaching Talon, The distant roar called her attention for a moment, it was familiar, she couldn't help but think as she brought her attention back to Talon. "What first aid kit would be complete without them?" she tried to keep her tone light to match Talon's it seemed to relax him a little before offering the pills to talon. Marcia bent over to inspect the wound in order to begin treating it she was thankful to know what she did of first aid, then again it was a skill she'd learned through her own experience during her earlier years.
"How many of you 'were' there?" she had to ask painfully though she was still quite afraid of knowing.
Catastrophe stood over the damaged zoid his armor still slowly regenerating surprisingly Catastrophe greeted the chaos Zoid despite the change and influence of the ancients Catastrophe could sense the familiar core. It didn't look as damaged as Tyrant or Catastrophe itself, it had been luckier than he.
Still there.... Catastrophe growled mechanically to the liger as though asking if it too could sense the Jury. Catastrophe spoke primitively and broken, language never had been a strong point of this zoid.
It was strange, catastrophe was not only behaving but being somewhat sociable. Marcia would have been more impressed if that explosion hadn't happened before that.
~"Do you need assistance?"~
Marcia Glanced down at Tyrant's com suddenly surprised by the communication, it had come as clear as day, even her own communication had been fuzzy from the static hanging in the air still. the same communication echoed from catastrophe's cockpit which opened again promptly as Marcia flipped herself stiffly back into it, though she was hesitant to reply at first, what if it was that 'thing' that caused this or one of its agents?
but she needed help... she couldn't round everyone up before 'it' took notice again without help.
"Hes assistance would be most welcome," she answered, catastrophe growled a warning
"I know, I know."
