Ewww I loathe materialistic people. They think the superficial things in life is more important. Some girls are my school are like that but luckily there are some people who realize the important things in life.

And as for the two kids who said that.... I just hope their dad dies and some one else will say that exact same thing. Grah! I just want to punch those kids. They are so heartless. I hate this generation of kids.

Oh I know. My school is terrible. We're known for all being rich stuck up snobs, and half the people around here really truly are. They get cars before they can drive, most have a cottage somewhere up north on a beautiful lake, most have some designer handbag, and so on.

I'm so lucky to be living where I do live and go to my school, but sometimes I can't help but dislike very many people around here. This girl was talking to me last thursday morning when I was having an extremely bad day and she was like "Oh. My. God. I had the worst night ever because the power at my house went out and for 10 minutes I couldn't watch my favorite TV show, and then my cellphone died!"

I'm sitting there thinking there are so many people without power, and without TV, and without a cellphone, yet she's complaining about not having any of those luxuries for a measly 10 minutes.

Substitute teachers will talk about how they have students from other schools needing to take care of their younger siblings, and walk to school, and so on, and they'll always throw in "Not like any of you people here would know, living here." which is kind of hurtful, since some of us do know. Very few, but still.

I never feel like I belong. I don't care about all these materials and so on, but it's like I know I'll be judged for not living in a beautiful house and so on. People are so condescending.

Man, if only she knew of the people in New orleans and in Florida that do not have any power at all.

I'm not that rich. My dad's a doctor but we have little money. I don't get allowence, I don't get nice things. I do get cellphones and TVs and computers because of my good grades and because my parents think I'm a good kid.

The rich people at my school think they are better than everyone else because the have more material possesions. People like that disgust me. If I was blessed to have as much money as them I wouldn't use it the way they do. Even with little money now I always donate to cancer foundations or something else.

My dad has suffered two heart attacks and I know how it feels like to almost lose your house or clothing. Not loosing power for 10 minutes.
Hell even when the hurricane came to florida and I lost power for a month during halloween my friends and I always found something to do.

I live in an apartment with my dad. We get by with what we have, though dad's health hasn't been great lately and he quit his job. We have Medicaid, and dad's going to be getting government help, hopefully. I have clothing, though no fancy designer clothing.

I have a TV, I have a computer. I have internet. I have a roof over my head still, and warm blankets at night. I still have food, and a RAZR cellphone. I probably have to give it up soon, but I don't mind. I get yelled at all the time, and I've never gotten an allowance in my life. I get $4 for lunch everyday at school, and I save up all I have left after lunch.

Then, I donate most of that money to cancer foundations also, because my mom passed away from cancer over 5 years ago. I have great friends, and a great boyfriend. I can't complain about my life, and I don't ever look at the people at my school and think "I wish I was as rich as them."

Instead, I look at other people in New Orleans and Africa and so on, and think "They probably wish they are as rich as I." I have a great education from one of the top schools in my city, and it's probably more than the education half the world has. Life is pretty good.

Which brings me to the second part of this rant. I hate our school systems. I hate school systems period.

Everyone makes it sound like without college, one cannot get anywhere in life. And it's almost true nowadays. If you don't have an education, you will get nowhere. There are so many smart people out there who don't get to go to college and so on, and now probably do the harder jobs out there.

My dad is a chef, because he only has a 6th grade education. It's hard to get by like that.

Once upon a time, a C was considered average. Now, many people consider a B as failing. All these high expectations are created because without college, people would be nothing. Nothing at all. So many people work so hard, and are so happy with a D, or a C.

Yet there are people who barely work because they are naturally smart, and complain over an A-. I'm one of those people, and I don't think I truly know what working is. I look at my boyfriend and congratulate him for getting a C- on his writing assignment, knowing it's his best grade ever on a writing. Then I look down at my own, the one I got an A on.

He works for 4 hours and gets a C-, I work for 15 minutes and get an A. He says it makes him feel worthless and so on, but in reality, I feel even more worthless than he does.

What good is all that, if no effort is put into it? And colleges look at the grades, and the ACT scores, and the SAT scores.

What high standards we have set for ourselves. I'll look at some B+ or A- I get on a test, and say "I failed." because I didn't get an A, when I didn't even try my hardest. Then I realize "Whoa, there are probably people who tried their best and actually did fail with an E. Why did I say what I did?"

Makes me wonder how society will get by, implanting the fact that not going to college means failure automatically, and so on.

I've been studying Aspergers Syndrome (My disorder) a little more and I've found out more attributes that match me. I also found out the names of celebrities who have Aspergers. These celebrities are Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Dan Akroyd, Satoshi Tajiri (creator of Pokemon), Thomas Jefferson, and Steven Spielberg. There are also many others that I'm too damn lazy to list at the moment. gonk

Actually, it is somewhat rare. The disorder is actually what made them so smart, so I probably shouldn't call it a disorder. sweatdrop I've also found most of the attributes that I can relate to.

1. People with Aspergers are usually bad at playing team sports because they get all confused and their teammates get frustrated with them.

2. People with Aspergers don't care about hygiene

3. Most people with Aspergers have poor social skills

4. Most people with Aspergers can have a blank expression on their face and they have a hard time expressing their emotions.

5. People with Aspergers usually have an average or above average intellectual capacity.

6. People with Aspergers usually have a very good vocabulary. The scientist who discovered Aspergers would call his 5 year old patients "little professors" because they had the vocabulary of a college professor.

Rawwwr. Guys confuse me like whoa. I'm going back to my relationship issues now, just because it's been bothering me x3210734.

SOYEAH. I've been going out with Rodan for 5 weeks now. It was great in the beginning. We talked a lot, hung out a lot, etc. etc. Now, for 2 weeks, things have been kind of like #$*&#)??? for me.

We don't talk much anymore. At school, online, on the phone, whatever. We haven't had much time to hang out, and when we're together at my friend's party or something he'll be gaming and I'll be leaning against him, and at most he'll just stroke my hair for a few seconds. I can't complain, I'm still happy, yeah?

Well I can't help but wonder if he still likes me and stuff, and I can't help but wonder if we're even going out anymore. Supposed to be going to a movie with him and a couple of other friends tomorrow which would make me really happy since movies with him always = <3 but he just doesn't want to go. He's basically refusing.

I called him today on the bus and told him I was bored so I decided to call him. He was like "...Bye Shani. I'll talk to you later. Bye" and hung up. So I'm like "Okay thanks. That's lovely... Love you too?"

How does he even feel about us? I want to ask him, but there's no chance to. He used to call me every night and we'd talk for an hour, but that just stopped suddenly. And when I do call, see what happens? *Points to above and flails*

Maybe it's just best if I don't care about stupid things like this. But I still like him so much and it's like "Rawwwwrrr."

Maybe I'm just being clingy? I kind of miss the hugs and the holding of the hands and such. At school we don't even look at each other. *Slaps self* Way to be, Shani.

I kind of just wish he would end my misery now and let me go on with my life.

*Waves flag and cheers unenthusiastically* These issues are seriously just clouding my mind from any actually useful thoughts =/

Sorry about that, Leiko! crying heart

So much to read ;__;

I dislike how people compare their lives with others. Especially when they pity mine.

Yes, I have been and still am abused as a child. Yes, I hit my mother under the pretenses of self-defence.

What I hate is people assuming solution when they know simply nothing of the problem besides the outline. >__<;

That's not why I'm posting.

It seems these days that everything we do is good if it goes fast (or is it vice-versa) This is more of a beta theory than a true one.

I mean, mother continually to nags to shovel the snow so it can melt faster. If you name me one chore or work you've done that doesn't progress the events or job or need, then I will delete this post.

Bah, I'm out of the loop these days. Do I talk funny? I'm constantly being told to stop talking like an old person. It really disturbs me to see how low the vocabulary of people and teenagers. Because, I always have to stoop down to their childish level just to get a point across.

n_n; Today, I made a cake for M-F (See first post to find out who M-F is). I got to feed it to her with a spoon whee It really made me giggle. Which is rare. But lately, I can't tell if I am happy or sad or mad. I go through life with what the quebecois say: "Poker face" That means, it never changes even through confrontation. When I was young, I used to act a certain way to get attention, been doing it ever since and not I can't get a clear view of my feelings.

"Love is always in the air, just not very clear" n_n; - Thought it up just now -

Leiko: Sorry, about your life. Although you're very generous. Sometimes it's better to worry about yourself.

I can't help you with your love problems sweatdrop I'm so new at it

My friend gave me a tarot card reading before and it said an issue in my presence is that I give too much to others, and I should be more careful with how I spend money like that since I'll need it in the future. Victoria, who was watching, was like "Haha. Shani doesn't give." which really hurt since she's been around for so long and didn't even know I donate a lot.

I guess I should I should worry about myself just a bit more, but oh well.

I hope your life gets better, Xero. I'm sorry about yours too.

And you don't talk funny. People think I talk funny. How I type too. I'm completely literate on AIM and so on, and text messaging. Sure it takes longer, but I'd rather keep my pride and dignity of knowing I can type, thanks. People say it bothers them, but oh well.

Our generation's basically screwed anyway with our lack of communication skills, our abbreviations for stupid things, and so on. Yay.
