Sesshomaru sat there he rested ..it had been quite some time before he had a chance to rest..always worried about Rin or dealing with issues regarding his father's blades...he was no longer obsessed with collecting all of them..he had even given Tailos a jewel shard to go and collect his father's fang from that half-breed...he wouldn't understand why Tailos would want to betray his trust...they had a strong connection in the past..he was a mentor to him..but he always had a need for power...it may have been the reason he was sealed up...as for Rin...Sesshomaru opened his eyes looking at Tensegia...he never had a use for it before but through helping Rin has gotten him to perfect the meido technique...he would make it up to her...she did help him make use for the otherwise useless blade...he got up and opened meido again...smaller this time...and slipped inside...

 Hotaru groaned as she watched the sun set. The shadows lengthened in the room. Sighing softly, she raised her head partially. There was no one within the room. She could smell the guards outside the door. She could also smell Sesshomaru. He was sitting in his room. She could sense the sadness. Why was he so sad? She felt a pang in her heart at the thought. Shaking her head slowly, she turned her mind from it. .Inuyasha glanced over the kid. "Don't worry about it kid. It didn't happen. If you must know, your father took Kagome. I thought he sent you to mock us." Inuyasha didn't like explaining himself. He felt uncomfortable doing so. As night began to fall, he saw the Manor butting out of a mountain. He paused only momentarily to view it in surprise. Catching up to the wolf, he watched it slow to a trot.

 Rin followed Koto quietly through the gardens. She was deeply saddened at her lord's snappish dismissal of her. Koto was explaining everything she asked for, and though she was paying attention, she was as quiet as a mouse, which was unusual for her. Normally Jaken told her off, telling her to stop bothering their lord with incessant chatter. It was unlike her to be so quiet. She was startled out of her silence when Koto asked her to tell him more about herself. She sighed. "There's not much to tell." She said quietly. "I'm a human. My family were killed by bandits. I was killed by a wolf pack, and resurrected by Lord Sesshomaru with Tenseiga, which is why I follow him. And I'm under a spell to get him to love me, and he never will. So I am to die soon."Location: Southern Lands: Hotaru's home

Koto paused underneath a Sakura tree. Looking at Rin with sad eyes, he absently wished he could hug her. "There is much more to tell. What do you like? What do you wish to do with your life? there must be something more than serving Sesshomaru for the rest of your life. Once Hotaru awakens, I can find out what mechanics of the spell has changed. If you would allow me to do so, until you decide otherwise, would you allow me to protect you? It would be my honor to protect a creature with such purity. I just don't want to see you cry again." He really hated when women cried and it tore at his heart to see someone as pure as Rin crying. He didn't want Rin to hurt anymore. He never doubted his emotions, usually letting them lead his actions.

Rin stopped beside him under a sakura tree. Had she been in her body, she would have held out her hand and let the pink blossoms fill it. "Well, I like flowers." She smiled lightly. "Lady Hotaru's garden is beautiful. And I like fish. And sweet treats, whenever my lord brings me them from the village." Sweets were a rare thing in those times. What she wished to do with her life? "I made the deal with the witch, so that I could be with my lord, become his mate if he so wished." She looked away. "But I do not that will happen." She looked surprised when he asked if she would allow him to protect her. "Of course you may." She smiled. Had she had her body, her cheeks would be turning rosy. Koto was a lovely man. And he seemed to show emotion, unlike her lord. Location: Southern Lands: Hotaru's home

 Koto grinned and reached out to take her hands. When his own went through hers, he blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, I keep forgetting that you aren't in your body. Forgive me Lady Rin." As he spoke the last sentence, his voice had dropped to almost a husky whisper. Clearing his throat, he allowed a petal to fall in his hand. "I know that Lady Hotaru would never let one such as you die. You are too pure." He gazed at the petal a moment before smirking and blowing the petal at Rin. "Now we must not speak anymore sad thoughts. Let us see how fast you can go in it. As the flower floated through Rin's body, he grinned. "Now you must catch me." He took off, only running at a quarter of his speed. He wanted to make Rin laugh and smile. He didn't want her dwelling on dark things.

Rin blinked as he went to take her hands, and laughed softly as they went through hers. She found his rubbing of the back of his head in embarrassment an adorable thing. "Of course I forgive you. It's hard for me to remember that I'm not in my body any longer." She felt flustered as he said she was too pure to die. "I think the pureness is purely because before the spell, I was eight years old." She admitted. Most children were pure. She blinked in surprise as the petal was blown at her, and it floated through her transparent form. He then challenged her to see how fast she was in spirit form, and she laughed, and floated after him. Koto was a kind soul for a demon, and Rin found herself liking him very much. Koto laughed as Rin came after him. Dodging her, he leaped into a tree, his tails waving behind him. "Can't catch me Rin!" Leaping down from the tree, he dodged her again. Moving behind a tree, he found himself a lot happier than he had been in a while. He hadn't been able to have this much fun in a while. Before he could move again, Rin's hand and arm brushed through his side. He felt a warm chill rush through him as she did so. Leaning against the tree, he grinned at her. "You're pretty quick."

Rin laughed. "I can catch you in a tree." She floated upwards, gravity not pulling her back down in this form. He dodged her, jumping out of the tree, and she floated right through the trunk and branches towards another tree he was hiding behind. Her face suddenly appeared halfway in the trunk of the tree he was hiding behind. "Boo." She smiled, her hand reaching through the lower part of the trunk, and phased through his body. He leaned against the tree, and she floated out of the bark. "I'm only quick because I have no need for air, and I am not running on legs." She smiled. Location: Southern Lands: Hotaru's home

Koto blew lightly at her form. "That's only because you can cheat. We can try it again when you're back in your body. Then we'll see if you can catch me." Flopping on the ground, Koto twirled a piece of grass between his fingers. "So besides picking flowers, what else did you enjoy doing as a child that doesn't include being able to touch? Or was there something you always dreamed of doing all by yourself that you couldn't have done because you were human. Currently, I believe you could do anything you set your mind to right now." He wanted to know Rin's dreams and passions. She had to have some before her change.

"Don't worry about it kid. It didn't happen. If you must know, your father took Kagome. I thought he sent you to mock us." Touga blinked owlishly at him, he speaks as though he, touga knows his father? No, he doesn't. "I don't know what my father is like. I never met him, and my mother died in childbirth. I'm just a stray, i was only by your village because it was the nearest source of food." He explained himself to the older hanyo, unknowingly and probably reminding Inuyasha of his own childhood. "I'm coming along because I want to meet my father, he took your woman, but there has to be a reason for it, you can't possible tag him as evil for taking the human." His tone said that he 'hoped' that his father wasn't an evil man, hoping that he had a living blood relative that would rescue him from this dismal life living in the wilds. Only getting to eat every few days because local demons scare off game, being too thin for his age, being alone without other kids his age to play with and forced to try and stay tough, grow up prematurely. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇

Sesshomaru was led back into his room by a maid...she blushed as he passed by her and into his room...he had used the front door to avoid disturbances from the others that were in the garden...he sat down...and focused on the image of Sayu...she could travel freely into the shadow realm...while he could not...meido got him close...he will not travel there with Hotaru's help...he would find a way...at any cost...

Rin laughed as he called her a cheat. "I float through things. You are a demon. We are equal." She teased. She smiled as he said they'd try again when she was back in her body. "I would not catch you then, Koto." She smiled. "You would most certainly be faster than I." She watched him fop on the ground, and she moved to lay back next to him. He asked her what else she liked doing as a child, besides picking flowers. "I didn't do much." She admitted. "I was too busy following Lord Sesshomaru around." He asked what she dreamed of doing by herself. "Well, I've always liked Kagome-chan." She said. "She's a miko priestess. And she's very strong. I wish I could be like her." Koto thought it over. Finally glancing over at her, he smiled. "You know you could be a priestess. I mean you basically jump from being a child to an adult in a matter of minutes. You missed the time frame where you could have discovered if you were a miko." Sitting up, he crossed his legs and look at Rin. "If you are indeed a miko, you should be able to do something. Try looking inside yourself. A miko's power comes from her soul. Now why don't you try it."Inuyasha felt a pang. This kid had apparently lived a life similar to his own. It made him think twice about his words before speaking. "Look kid, whether your old man is evil or not, he took Kagome from me. I know that b*****d brother of mine did it to get Tessaiga from me." Inuyasha glanced in front of him as he realized they were slowing to a walk. Before them lied the gates to the Manor. He heard the wolf bark at the kid to dismount from his back. Once the kid had done so, the wolf changed back into his smaller form.
