The doll had hit a nerve. And the fact that she pointed it out to Sherry hit another one. She just started at the living nightmare for a moment. "Satisfied?" She tried to put on a look of annoyance. "I won't be satisfied until your little doll butt is dead, or at least locked away in the bottom of a closet somewhere." Sherry angrily swung her blade at the doll to emphasize her point, but between the distance, vines, and just plain frustration, she missed completely. YOUR MINDLESS CHATTER IS NOTHING BUT THE BUZZING OF FLIES! The voice that screamed wasn't even hers, this time. It was a high pitched, screechy yell, that was almost drowned out by all the other voices that filled the minds of anyone who was close enough to hear her. The sound of a child crying swirled around the words. The barking of a man yelling for Leon and Sasha to get away, get away now, before it was too late. The hissing of a snake wormed it's way through each syllable. And lastly, but quietest of all, was Riley's real voice. She was whispering something. Something almost inaudible. Something about just wanting to go home.
Riley's attacks were staggered, and random. She barely managed to wrap a tentacle around Leon's waist before it was pushed away. Her other tentacles snapped above her head, twisting and turning as if they couldn't figure out where their opponent was. And always, always her eyes kept flashing from the solid white to a swirled, delicate blue. Aymet had to do a little struggling to break out of the vines before he became a dragon-shaped hedge animal. It gave the little hunter enough time to climb up his ribs like a ladder. He didn't really want to wait around and find out what she was up to. Snap, snap, vines were twisting and breaking as he tried to pull away from them, still deeply entangled, but his front leg was free! A huge clawed 'hand' raked down his back from behind and swept Clerise away with it, none too gently. Aymet had scooped up the hunter in the palm of his skeletal hand and held her out where he could see her, prepared to squeeze the life out of her if only he wasn't so bogged down in all these vines! At least he could get an up close and personal look at a living hunter. He'd seen a lot of hallucinated hunters, but only one real one before now. Whereas even less than a year ago the idea of attacking or killing a real human seemed impossible, here he was, ready to see them die in droves, eager to help make that happen. There was a split second of distraction as he heard Riley's psychic shouts and saw what she had become. Mei wrinkled her nose in thought, before returning her crimson gaze to the ghoul in front of her. "What?" Mei blinked, almost trying to maul over what the ghoul just said, before waving her off. "Oh, now that is just silly. We only stuff our minipets in closets." What an absurd thing for the hunter to say. What was it they did with dolls in the human realm, she wondered.
Leaning back out of range from the hunter ghoul's wild swinging of her weapon, Mei stared at the ghoul wide eyed before narrowing her brow again. "You missed.." Of course when she moved to hit her back, her fist swung right past her. Oh well..so did she apparently. The rabbit had fallen to the wayside, trying to pull against the vine sticking out of her. She was growing tired, so very tired and calmed for a moment, considering what could be done. It was a dreadful, sinking feeling to not be able to see the others and she gazed at the tide of battle. Things didn't seem to be going much one way or the other.
There was still fight in her.
It was a shallow wound but after taking a moment she managed to get a swipe in on the hunter which made her happy, though that happiness was short lived as the hunter seemed to still be thoroughly unaffected. The punch hit Riley square in the face, but it did little to stop her. They were advancing on her, and Riley stepped back, further and further, snapping her tentacles dangerously close to their faces like whips.
Stay away. She hissed, but every time she spoke, the other voices drowned her out. Stay away, you filthy humans. You sicken us. You disgust us. Your kind will never... never.. just stay away. STAY AWAY FROM US! Her hands rose up to her head, covering it as she flattened her back against a wall, and curled slightly. Her tentacles weren't trying to attack them anymore, they were simply wildly flinging everywhere. Her eyes pinched shut, as all the voices in her head turned on her, screaming at her, instead of the hunters. They could still hear it, but she was the one receiving the brunt of all the screams.
When her eyes opened again, they rested on Shehk, for just a moment, blinking bright blue orbs at the ghoul with an almost.. sad expression.
There was a lot of regret, in those eyes.
Stay away. Jerry went tumbling backwards into the middle of a new fray, dazed, aching, and confused as hell. How where.. where was... He tried to focus, only t see creatures leaping around him. With a yelp, his canon was swung around and fired at a leaping creature nearby.

Minipets? What on earth were...oh! She probably meant those little Fear creatures they keep in teh lab. The ones that don't talk. She was trying to think of a snarky comment, when the doll stated the obvoius. "Hmph! If these stupid vines weren't here, it would be another story, dolly!" Though she did have to smirk when the doll missed with her hit as well. "Besides, you couldn't hit the broadside of a barn." Sherry almost took another swing, but a vine underfoot tossed her balance just slightly. With her back against the wall, the Illithid stared mournfully at her friend. Body shifting, she reached out and... simply froze. Beside one glowing eye something squirmed under her skin, a delicate curl of raised flesh. Almost like a worm or a vine. Riley's body jerked once, then twice, and the ghoul threw her head back in a wordless cry of pain. More writhing lines appeared on her arms and face, her body quickly becoming covered by the unnatural veins. Her throat began to convulse as if trying to throw something up from a mouth she didn't have.
On the wall behind her, the vines wrapped around her limbs, trapping Riley in their firm, hungry grasp. Her torso heaved once, and there was a shattering sound as the plug in her abdomen was pushed out by the plants that had worked their way into her back, twisting their way up through and into the rest of her body. The convulsions of her throat grew more violent, the Illithid's head thrashing against the wall until finally her whole body tensed and from Riley's face several thick vines burst from her face, creating a mouth where once there was none.
Red flowers began to bloom as the plants tore Riley apart from the inside out until the student was finally given the brief reprieve of dissipation. A carpet of scarlet blooms settled in her wake, shifting toward those remaining. The room began to have an odd echoing quality to it, with hunter and student alike hearing their own words repeated oddly whenever they came close to the flowers.

He was back on the Isle of Famine once more, and Sparrow wasted no time leaping into the fray. The black shadow scythe swung out, trailing inky black shadows in its wake, and he landed with a soft thump between a hunter and her prey.
"Good evening," said Sparrow cheerfully. "Mind if I cut in?"
It was most likely a good thing that he had not seen what had happened to Riley in all of the chaos.

((Enter)) Junko ran and ran until she came across it. The battle. She needed to help her friends, to protect them. No, please. Please n--oh my jack! Wh..why was everyone covered in vines and mold?! She skid to a stop, eyes wide and jaw dropped. Oh no..no! What was going on!? "...RILEY?!" Junko gasped, spotting the ghoul easily. She looked so...so wrong! What happened to her?! What did those hunters do to her?! Suddenly she just...she.. She...what just.. "RILEY NO!" She shrieked, her hands flying to her hair and gripping it tightly. "RILEY?! RILEY!" Junko ran toward the thing that had been her friend, skidding to a stop when Riley disappeared. Wait. She disappeared! She dissipated, right? RIGHT? "Riley? Whe..where's Riley...Riley?!"Riley? Riley?! Riley! Riley?! _________________________________________________________Riley! Where's Riley?! WHERE'S RILEY?! Junko stepped back away from a flower that had drifted near her, holding her head again and whimpering. What? What the hell was going on!? ((Junko is not attacking yet!))

Nononono.
Riley.. Riley you're okay. It's okay. Riley. Rileyrileyriley...Rilleeyyy. Shehk actually struggled against the hold that Calder had on her, whining and making as pathetic of a noise as she could as the wolf struggled to get the Kelpie to release her, leaning towards the Mindflayer.
She needed to go to her, and she needed to do it on her own four paws. Shehk needed to move! It was a strange sort of panicked desperation that seemed to fuel her as she looked to the kelpie, making a sort of nasal whimper, then began to struggle more against the pull of his body.
I can't. she urged back to the mindflayer, the glowing light of her eyes suddenly burning brighter, as if fueled by this one truth.
And yet.... it seemed even her attempts to get free - to go to the mindflayer - would be too late as.. as... Shehk cried out angrily. What had happened? RILEY. RILEYRILEYRILEY!! NO! NO RILEY! NO NO NO NO!!
"RILEY!!" as a canine, Shehk's voice was shrill, almost painfully so, agony and confusion lacing it. Riley! RILEY!! WHAT WAS HAPPENING? WHO DID SHE HAVE TO KILL NOW?HP: -1 Status: Panicked. On a Kelpie.

Mei sneered at the ghoul, before waving her off again. "Likewise, ghouly. Its only because of these vines that I haven't rearranged your face for you. Though, I think I would be doing you a favor." Not that ghoul wasn't pretty, she just felt like saying the first thing that came to mind. Why not insult the ghouls looks while at it? "HAH! This coming from you? You haven't landed a hit in a while either, so I wouldn't get cocky." Sticking her tongue out in a rather childish manor, she moved to dodge the hunters attack again, still stumbling over the vines. "Dammit! Can't someone light these things on fire or something! They're so annoying!" She grumbled, kicking at one of the vines. Of course, it did nothing but hurt her foot.
Attempting to keep her footing among the vines, she barely caught what had happened to Riley, but she she heard all the people screaming her name. What the hell just happened? Turning to look, she was interrupted when a reaper boil intervened on their fight. Blinking, she stared at him for a moment, sure she had seen him around before. "Uh..no, go right ahead." Harrison stumbled into the new room, still holding onto Jerry's vest. Jason was slung over one shoulder.
"Jordan and Rep," he repeated, and he heard a soft jordan rep jordan rep in answer.
He was getting goosebumps all of a sudden. He looked at the room they'd landed in, covered in greenery. And it was every where, on the floor, on the ceiling, on...everybody... and they were panicking about something, and the flowers were curling and uncurling gently...
Harrison let go of Jerry and fished out another bandaid tin.
He wasn't sure why it seemed like he was back in the tent staring down Julie. But there was something about this room that wasn't right. Wasn't just stabbing and swiping at each other.
He put the bandaid on his wrist. That left him one. His original, the one he'd stacked about a hundred blocks for.
...Harrison fished in Sleeping Beauty's coat pockets for good measure.
