Before Holly could back up from the falled teruu it got back up and snapped at her again. Darn thing. The ghoul kicked it as hard as she could. The teruu flipped on its back and stopped moving. There. That's how its done. ((HP: 29 Damage: 7 Teruu HP: dead Teruu Damage: 8-3=5)) mini sn= elvyralani

Luidaeg took another swipe. This Teruu was looking the worse for wear now too. He backed away. He wanted to leave some fun for the other students after all. It wasn't that he was getting tired, and a little winded, nope... He sat on a rock, petting his docile Teruu fondly while he watched the rest of the battle unfold. ((Attacking Lucinda/Ninjagami's Teruu)) Alex pushed away from the Teruu beneath him, rolling to the side and into the sand. He had beaten it to the point where it was looking fairly subdued, and he figured that Reiko could probably handle if from there. Hauling himself to his feet, he had a quick glance around to see if anybody else required some help. His eyes sought out the familiar purple hair of Mitzi first, but she appeared to have fared just fine against her own mutant teruu. But there was another reaper ghoul that Alex worried about as well. The poor, timid Lucinda whom he already almost felt an almost brotherly bond for. Where was she? His gaze swept the chaotic area until it landed on her dark haired form. Shambling towards her, he offered her a wild grin, one that clearly said 'let me handle this for you", before he lunged towards the mutant creature. This one was faster then the first that he had attacked, and possibly a bit more aggressive since it actually came at Alex, barreling into him and snapping at his shoulder. Dimly he was aware that Yin might be very upset with him if he knew that Alex was putting himself at risk like this, but it was the right thing to do, wasn't it? HP:35/40 Teruus HP: 12/15 Turn: 3/5

((Attacking Lucinda/Ninjagami's Teruu)) Alex was scrambling backwards in the sand now, trying to keep himself from being further hurt. His shoulder burned from where the teruu's teeth had dug in, tearing at his rotting flesh, but he ignored it for now, trying to do what they had taught him on the Isle of War, centering himself, keeping himself calm. And then he did another thing that he had learned on war, and grabbed a handful of sand, hurling it at the teruu's face and eyes. It wouldn't do much, but it gave the zomboil time to put more distance between himself and the creature that was baring down on him. HP: 35/40

((Attacking Lucinda/Ninjagami's teruu)) Alex was able to push himself to his feet as the teruu struggled with the sand that Alex had tossed into it's face. He was still backing away, slowly, trying to assess the situation, to figure out a way to attack without getting himself hurt in the process. He wished that he had a weapon to use, but could think only of the possibility of pulling out one of his leg bones and throwing it at the teruu's head, though there were a couple of reasons he did not want to do that, the more prominent one being that he did not wish to lose the bone in the sand. And so, Alex did the one thing he hoped might work, and he threw himself at the teruu in full force, driving into it with his shoulder. He hoped that he might be able to take it off guard, while it was still disoriented. The teruu was pushed back, and Alex was able to get away without a scratch, just as he had hoped and planned. He started to walk forward again, ready to do more, to finish it off if he could when something stopped him. Stay safe. Don't take any unnecessary risks and I will do the same. The thought struck him with full force, the voice so loud in his head that it was almost like Yin was standing there beside him, and not far away on the conquest of Isle. He had stopped dead in his tracks, and began to back away, eyes slightly wider then usual. He had to stop, Yin would not have wanted him to be doing this, right? "I...I can't." He mumbled, quietly, as he came to stand next to Lucinda, but whether he was saying it to her or to himself was a mystery. HP: ?/40

Really, Mitzi should have learned from the first time. When she bopped it on the nose, her teruu surged forward in attack again. This time it got a bite in on the arm she held up to defend herself. Really, what was with these Famine creatures and their need to make her bleed? It didn't let go right away, but that just gave her a chance to hit it repeatedly between the eyes with her other hand. Finally it released her with a yelp and pulled back into its shell. It seemed that she had finally scared it into submission. There wasn't anything handy to wrap the bite on her arm, which was bleeding steadily, but it did seem to be slowing. Besides, it looked like other teruu had gone crazy too. So Mitzi looked around for the others she knew, the zombie and ghost and the younger Reaper. She finally spotted Alex's shock of white-and-black hair, and headed over toward where he was helping Lucinda. "Alex! Luci! Are the two of you okay?" It seemed like Alex was doing a good job of taming the other ghoul's teruu, so she started looking around for Reiko, to make sure she was all right as well. (( HP: 24 Damage: 6 Teruu HP: Defeated Teruu Damage: 3))

Lucinda looked up at him, a little bit in shock that he had come to help and also that the Teruu had actually started attacking like she thought they would. She ran over to help him, he looked like he had gotten hurt a bit. "Are you ok Alex?" She really wanted to get out her gun and blow the little monsters away but she knew she wasn't allowed to so she prepared to kick the crap out of them.

Lucinda tried kicking it again, hopefully it might scare it away since Alex had done a number on it already. It had been awhile since she had fought but these were easy enough at least. She stomped on it again, it felt weird against her bare feet. She hopped back after the hit and watched if the Teruu would give up, it fell over onto the ground with a light thud. A smile swept across her face before she ran back over to Alex. HP: 25/30

Reiko was, at first, too surprised to do anything when her teruu suddenly multiplied in size and attacked her. Fortunately for her, she had a savior, in the form of Alex. She was more surprised when he leapt in to help her, but not at all ungrateful. She'd have to thank him later. For now, he had gone to help Lucinda, leaving her with a weakened but not finished off creature. It leapt forward and got a hold of her arm, biting hard. She brought her other arm around to punch it on the jaw, forcing it to let go of her and collapse. With hers defeated, she spun to see if any of her friends needed help. It seemed not, so she walked over to where they were.
"Thank you, Alex," she said, looking a bit embarrassed that she hadn't been able to be more helpful.

Finally, some action! Valentino needed to vent off some steam from his last annoying encounter with cute things, and it seemed as if this would be the perfect chance. With a snap of the wrist, Valentino flung the teruu from his jacket.
