West positively glared at the Love Machine when it spat out a fifteen for Barth. He would have taken a fifteen. It was better than a thirteen. Clearly it was time to back away from the games. Before he hit something. Again.

Calder glared at the machine, and then at Barth, debating who to blame, and then settled back to looking at the machine. He kicked it. "This thing is broken. Someone should fix it or break it for scraps. Doesn't even work right. Bet it has some weird wire....screw....gear....thingy wrong with it." Calder flashed his poor knowledge on machines once more before kicking the machine again. Good thing he had tough hooves, and then huffed at it.
He still felt the warm touch on his cheek from Barth's kiss, and then the whisper about his lucky. White he wanted to puff hsi cheeks and pout, he only smiled and turned to the demon, biting his lower lip as he thought over it. Probably not. That's what it said! PROBABLY NOT! "I'll show you probably not." He muttered, and reached his arms about his boilfriend's neck before kissing him on the mouth for a good while, breathing through his noise and ruffling up the boil's hair before releasing. "Stupid machine doesn't know nothin." He took his boilfriend's arm and glared over his shoulder at the contraption. "Come on. We don't need games. We can entertain each other. I wanna see the main ballroom." He flicked his tail, agitated, as he left the arcade. They could go to it later, and so help them, the other machines had better work!

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!
A small, hooded figure crept sneakily and conspicuously back onto the game room floor. The hood was pulled so low that Emily couldn't actually see anything except the floor, and to be honest? Despite running into various objects and people, it was preferable. Being around lots and lots of other students was enough to give her an anxiety attack on its own, but when she reentered, she had gotten the chills. The one's that said something both terrible and amazing was nearby.
Her talk with Freya had circled around the ghoul's thoughts like a terrifying little yappy dog, and if it was one Johnny Danger that skulked with dangerous charisma and sensuality in the shadows, well...
Emily was pretty sure her eyeballs would melt in their sockets as her heart exploded.
So she was talking a definite risk here, but it was a risk she had to take. She'd promised her mother, and though she hadn't really done much so far, she would do this one this. A small, trembling hand reached out from the cloak and pressed against The Love Machine.

Calder wasn't happy with the results, but Barth was pleased. A difference of seven. It was, in his mind, a fortuitous start to the evening. He gave the machine a consolatory pat just before Calder pulled him towards the ballroom.

The Cerberus kept looking towards the entrance, fidgeting more and more with each time he pulled his stare away. Maybe he should leave and go looking for him...
He nearly bumped into the candy machine. Startled by the attacker, he leapt backward, hand clutched to his chest. Oh, it wasn't too bad. Just some bittersweets. Well, he did love candy.

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!Savior had no idea what was going on, or about games, but she was going to have fun right? She was smart enough to play things if she'd watch people do it several times, so when the love machine was empty she figured she'd give it a shot of her own. It was easy enough to push buttons and hope and listen and wait....and sure enough, she managed to get it working.
Better yet, her number matched someone who was on the board already. Too bad Savior couldn't read or she'd be happy that she matched Sibyl, whoever that was? Was Savior supposed to feel happy about it? Instead she just felt like she played a game and moved along, excited because she'd done something amazing!
Also she had such a short attention span and that was super sad.Eight We had matching rolls! Yay! <3

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!
The first thing Gene noticed in the games section was the machine. It gave off such an aura, one that she could hardly draw away from. It was beckoning to her. She wouldn't refuse it.
Slowly, she put her hand out in anticipation. Would it grab her wrist and tug her away? Would it explode into a million pieces? No, it wouldn't. Her hand was placed on the machine, and she breathed a sigh of relief. Hopefully tonight would be safe, and free of intrusions.

There was another game she could play! Savior liked all these games because, well, games were awesome and fun and games. Also, games did she mention games? Savior made sure to sit and wait, to keep a good eye on someone and figure out what they did, so when it came time for her to try the whole Bittersweet thing she had a decent idea of how to do it.
Something popped out from the game thing and something was written on it...leaving Savior to look it over before tossing it onto the ground. She could read so how was she supposed to think it was important? At least she'd managed to figure out two games, maybe she could play a third and not have any problems?

One more game, she needed to play one more game. This one involved hitting things and Savior....liked to punch all the things. If she could use her leg then it would be for the better, and so she waited her turn for someone to pass over and let her have a go at it. It looked simple enough, really, and it was giving away prizes too? Savior liked prizes (if she knew how to read 'em) and maybe this time she could have fun and not end up with something she had no use for. Like in that weird previous game which had given her something she knew nothing about, how horrible.
Now it was her turn and she stepped up to the machine. She wasn't going to use the mallet which was a bad thing to do, since it probably would save the machine, and instead used the heel of her foot to strike at the creatures as they popped up. Turns out she did quite well, missing only about seven of them, and she practically coo'd with pride over her victory.
The Marrowstripe was on fiyah.

Done with the odd machine, Gene went on to find something new. Something new just so happened to be candy - not the best looking or tasting candy, but hey. Candy is candy. She took one and looked at it. Nightmare? Wow, that was a keeper. She pocketed it, before moving on.

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!"L-lets start with this one!" She declared to Tahki without actually looking at the first machine she stopped in front of. Games were good, games were distracting, and...well, games. Amrita's smile faltered when she noticed the names on the list nearby; one name stood out but it was too late to take her hand off of the pad.
When the machine spat out her result she took a breath and looked to match; so far...Danny, and West. H-uh. Fire and Wrath. Was that...some sort of sign? Crazy. She couldn't help but notice the difference in points between herself and, well...hrm. Perhaps that was a sign, too?
"You try now!" It was just a stupid machine, or so she told herself as she buried her feelings and urged Tahki forward.

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!Tahki was leaning over Amrita's shoulder watching her play. This game seemed pretty strange to the gryphon. There were no graphics or bosses or anything. Then it was her turn to step up to the plate. There was a crack of knuckles and then Tahkis palm went down. Numbers flashed and finally settled on 2. Tahki frowned. A two? "I think your score beat me..." Little did Tahki know, it was not that sort of game. She read the names on the list and came across a King and Mitsu. Neither names really rang a bell.

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!
As soon as they approached the game area, Malodore knew what it had to do:
1.) Obtain Foxfire plushie for Riley 2.) Reanima-
... and then it saw the Love Machine and its brain derailed, to be replaced with sheer confidence and that weird, brimming affection again. "Ah, mia cara, we must see if Science agrees with our bounteous union," it said, happily. Which it would, of course. It had tested rigorously before coming to this conclusion, it felt. "Come, come..."
The plague doctor managed to free one hand and placed it against the meter. A moment later, it pinged, and Malodore's heart soared.
"See? Science approves," it informed her, then nuzzled at her cheek again.
