Slaine jumped away from his sister she the door opened, ready to help whoever might be injured- and trying to save face as well. When he saw it was Alexandre, he relaxed, but only marginally. "I suppose it would be alright. There's no rules against it." Slaine glanced over at Faelynn. "What do you think?"

"Yes?" When he smiled weakly she frowned. Then Faelynn's heart twanged with guilt as Slaine told her he trusted her. You may trust me, but I'm going behind your back. "Alright, and have as long as you'd like." She was enjoying the hug and then Alexandre walked in and her hug was ripped away from her. "It's fine with me." She walked into the part of the clinic that was her room and sat down on a pile of blankets. Under them, was her extra money from dancing, all 547 of it. Faelynn decided at that moment, to just give it all to Slaine. She began to gather the money.
Godelieve smiled slightly when Lorne took her hand. "I took a horse, and we are going to head in that direction." She pointed in the opposite direction of where they were at with her other hand. When he asked if she was okay, she was taken off guard. "I'm just fine. How do I seem different?" She asked, obviously confused. Then he apologized about the set up and she chuckled. "It's not your fault." She then turned to her flirtatious tone and continued. "Besides, now we can have more time to catch up right?" A thought popped up and she frowned as her bangs fell back into her eyes. "Do you know how to cut these horrible bangs shorter? I don't want to screw it up myself."

❀Sophia Pendragon☠
Sophie smiled as the pair exited her home and made a small wave as they disappeared into the forest. She was about to leave herself before she stopped and walked over and picked up a rolled garment. Gripping it with both hands she gave a small flick causing it to flap loudly and unroll. The now opened cloak she drew around her shoulders and tied it. Where she was going her kind wasn't exactly happy to be seen. Making sure her bag had a few chakrams in it, and then checking her daggers holstered to her hips she left her house closing the door behind her. Flicking her wrist an eerie purple glow covered her hand and a small section of the ground in front of her house glowed. She had hated necromancy ever since it had been taught to her as a child. However at times it did have its uses and protecting her home was one of them. With a final sigh she turned and dashed off through the woods. She nimbly navigated though as she raced toward her destination. Exortensis.

Oralee, heedless of the people around her, began to toss and turn in the bed. Shifting restlessly, she broke out into a cold sweat. Her hands clenched in the covers, and Oralee fought to surface. It was no dream or fever that held her, however... She was running down a castle corridor at her fastest pace, boot-clad feet beating out a rapid rhythm on the ground. Only, it wasn't her. This girls build was smaller and slimmer than Oralee's, though she ran at a greater pace. The sounds of loud bird wings fluttering sounded behind her. Knights tried to rush in front of her, stop her, but acting upon her own instinct she ducked and weaved through them. When that would not work, she artfully sliced them from her path. She ran past a window, and for a split moment caught sight of her reflection, catching no more than an impression of the lightest sea blue, and the crimson splatters of blood. Her breath began to pant from her lungs, practically bursting in pain. Desperate, she began to call out. "My prince, my prince!" Jumbles of nonsense, all words for one who held a title such as prince, burst from her lips as she finally made a sharp turn into a corridor, breaking down a solid wooden door with one heavy kick. It splintered, and she saw the prince cornered in the narrow room, a spear pointed directly at his heart. "NO! RIORDAN!" The name felt familiar and strange on her tongue at the same time, and she rushed forward, shoving the Prince out of the way. She gasped in pain as the spear sliced a lethal blow through her chest. Falling to her knees, she felt a twin blow as the spear was wrenched out of her body. Somewhere far away there was a masculine scream, "LOA!" And she turned her head. As the blood drained from her body, she handed the Prince her sword with numb fingers. It was too late, before he could grasp the bloody blade, the spear had been shoved through his throat. Gasping in what was meant to be a scream, she lurched towards him. "No... My prince, I'm so sorry... I failed you...' As they collapsed on the ground, she traced her bloody fingers hesitantly on his face. Unable to watch him drown in his blood as her own seeped into the floor, she turned her head to see her killer in her last moments. He tore off his mask to glare scornfully down at them, and she gasped. As the life left her body- Oralee awoke with a slight scream, the sound higher pitched than one might expect. Lurching to a sitting position, Oralee grabbed at her side as she stared with frightened eyes, for a moment still seeing the death within her vision. She blinked, one blink, and snapped out of it. But the fear on her face was real. "I have to warn them..."Staggering to her feet, Oralee glanced around wildly, still dragging her thoughts together.
Slaine had moved by the bed at Oralee's first movements, staggering forward when she suddenly got to her feet, catching her -barely- as she crumpled to the floor. Slaine tried to ignore the frisson of ancient magic he had felt spark the air. "You're not going anywhere!" His stern older brother voice came out without him even realizing, as he tried to place her back in bed. "You don't understand! If he dies we're all in danger! I must warn him, I have to leave now!""No, I don't understand! Make sense, Oralee!" Some of her composure returning, Oralee took deep gulping breaths until she could talk straight. "I had a vision, from smothers point of view, where I saw the murder of the Prince of Exortensis." And that poor Loa person, whoever she may be. "I have to get over there to warn them now. If the crown prince dies, when the king dies his next heir shall be no more than a child! A regency will be established, which the nobles shall use to declare war on Incolumitas! I don't know how much time is left, but I do know that the murder hasn't happened yet. I need to leave this instant, or I may not get there in time!" Slaine just gaped open mouthed at her a moment, still processing all the things she had said. Finally, at the end of it, Slaine wondered how they could trust Oralee in Exortensis. Why was she so sure they'd believe her? Other than that, everything she was saying was making sense. Except... "You have several broken or cracked ribs. You can't go anywhere in that condition! If the rick to your health wasn't enough, you wouldn't be able to protect yourself! As your doctor, I cannot allow you to go!" It was Oralee's turn to gape, and then she shut her mouth with a snap. Her quick mind immediately thought of an answer to at least half of what Slaine had brought up. Whirling around- mindless that she was being supported by Slaine, Oralee spotted Alexandre, and moved towards him quickly. "Alexandre! You're something of a mercenary, aren't you?! I'll hire you! I'll hire you to escort me to Exortensis! I have enough money to pay you!" Not on her, but her house was a short horse ride away, and it was on the path to Exortensis as well."Please!

Alexandre was shocked at the turn of events. Visions? Was she an oracle of some kind? No, it had to be magic. Did she have the power of divination? Wasn't that only a myth? Suddenly she was offering him a job. "I suppose, Miss Or.....Miss." He said trying to refrain from using her name. "But, the Prince of Exortensis? Who would want him dead? From what I've heard he is trying to bring about a peaceful resolution to the problems?" He may have been a soldier but he didn't like the thoughts of a war. "I shall accompany you. And I shall do what I can, but I am only one man. You will need more than me."
Prince Riordan sighed and laid a hand on Loas shoulder, "I know you're always here when I need you." He said, giving her a smile. "Well, no use staying in this hallway. The nobles will just follow me and continue to badger me about things that I can't do in good conscience." a mischievous look entered his eyes. "Lets see how fast we can get away from this conference room, and do something....anything else." He said before turning and moving briskly down the hall.
Lorne nodded to Godeleive. "I like your bangs." be said gently brushing them to the side. "But lets get goign back tot he horse. But before we catch up with each other," He said smirking to her, "Lets get my shoulder bandaged up."

Oralee inwardly sighed in relief when he accepted- haltingly, but it was still acceptance. "Nobles,' Shebsaid in response to his next question, as she managed to stand on her own. "Exortensis nobles who still long for the rule of Fortissimus. They want to claim this land, and the wishes for peace that endears him to many will be the sane thing ghat drives those nobles to kill." She spoke with a known confidence- more than once she'd snuck into the Exortensis court. Oralee frowned at his last statement, before turning to look at Slaine. "Do either of you know anyone else we could trust with this?" Oralee glanced over at Alexandre again, seeking any suggestions from him as well.
Slaine rubbed his temples, trying to get a grasp on the situation. If she were protected, then he supposed the urgency pf the matter would require him to allow Oralee to leave... But who else could go with her? "I only really know one fighter, and even then it's a passing acquaintance. He's not a mercenary though, he's a thief. Lorne." Though Lorne had never admitted to being a thief, Slaine had been able to figure it out from the manner of his wounds. How do I find him? And would he be willing to take on a protection job?
Loa jumped softly when the prince laid his hand on her shoulder, but otherwise didn't react, staring up at his with crystalline eyes the exact same shade as all the gems he wore. When the mischief glowed in his eyes, Loa blinked in shock, remembering all the childhood escapades that had begun with that look. And then he was off. "Oh, your highness!" Loa burst into a run to follow him, feeling the cramping begin in her wings. As she always did, Loa kept her wings curled close to her when she was within the castle, but the stiff posture caused cramps that led to her wings twitching until she could get somewhere she could spread them wide. It was another reminder of why she wasn't good enough for all the nobles here... Even her Prince, who could not see it.

The prince held back a smirk as he dashed through the halls of the castle, Loa following quickly behind him. He threw open a large door and stepped out into a spacious courtyard. "I need sunlight ans fresh air after being around those stuffy nobles all morning." He said looking back to her, "And it give you a chance to spread your wings a bit." He said he he raised his face towards the sun, and took a deep breath of the fresh air.

Loa tried not to laugh at his typical behavior. She remembered so many times she had spirited him off to the forest where he found her. Though initially that was a happy memory, the reminder that she had been found was a little sobering. She spread her wings, much larger than they appeared, and used them to shade her own face from the sun. One of the royal scientists had, a while back, managed to figure out which subrace of beastial she was, but she still didn't know very much about who she was or where she came from. Unbidden, a question that had hovered on her mind for years slipped out of her lips. "Your Highness.... Do you ever regret finding me?" Lowering her gaze from the sky, she glanced over at him with her light blue eyes. Though he was the epitome of diplomacy with his fellow nobles, Loa trusted he would never give her any less than the truth.

Riordan looked back, feelings little hurt by Loas words. "Loa, why would I regret finding you?" he said as he walked towards her, "You are the closest thing I have had to a friend. You are honest with me, and not just because it is convenient to you at the time." He said as he laid a hand on her shoulder, "I've always been able to depend upon you. You are my most loyal and trusted bodyguard."

Loa glanced away, immediately able to think of many examples. "I know that things are strained between you and your father- His Majesty," She ammended quickly, lest he figure out her lack of respect for anyone other than him. "And that it started with your defense of me. I know the nobles hassle you. I know that you have enough on your plate without the bi-weekly justification of my existance you have to go through with your father, the nobles, and even the church." Her lips twitched in a sad smile. "I even know that you had that man who called me a 'dirty pidgeon' exiled. It seems I'm a lot of trouble for you, your Highness, and you attempt to hide that from me." When he walked towards her, Loa glanced back over at him, beginning to drop into a bow. "Forgive me, your Highness. I shouldn't have bothered you with-" He spoke though, and she halted her words. I'm not his friend though. Loa felt his hand rest on her shoulder, and wondered how his father would react to that. I'm his bodyguard.... That's right. I can't be anything else. "But I'm not your friend. The nobles would never allow that." Loa closed her eyes, her lips twisting in a cynical smirk that didn't suit her. "I wonder. Is it because of my race or my status as a commoner that everyone hates to see me around you?" Loa was silent for a moment as she stared downward, her eyes lost in some world of sadness. "Forgive me. It wasn't my place."

"Loa, when have I ever listened to what the Nobles wanted?" he said with a small smile, "And I don't care what others think of you. And that includes my father." He said a small frown crossing his face. "And its not really a problem. And didn't I just tell you that I like your honesty? Feel free to be frank with me. At least, when we're alone, I mean."

"You don't." Loa smiled, her good mood restored by the prince as always. "And that's what half of them would say your problem is." Loa tilted her head when he spoke of not caring what others thought of her. Her tone much lighter now, Loa asked another impertinous question. "Why don't you care about what I am like the others do? Why don't you see me as the lower being I am?" Loa was smiling softly, didn't even realize the insult she had delivered on herself and taken as fact. She smiled wider at his last comment. "I know. If the king knew half the things I've said over the years, I'd have been beheaded by now. You needn't worry, your &ighness. You know how quiet I am around others."

"You are not a lower being. I don't want to hear you call yourself that again." He said giving her a gentle smile. "And to me you are more than just a bodyguard or even a friend. You are Loa." he gave a sigh as his mind went back to the nobles. "Of course, me not caring what they think IS a problem. To them. They want a war, but that's only to get them more money from trade and resources. I want peace. But its not up to me. My father is still alive and well."

Godelieve sighed. "I don't like them. They get in my face all the time." To make her statement true, she shook her head and her bangs fell and her hair swished around her thighs. "Let's get you to the clinic then. Do you know how to ride a horse or do I have to get us back into town?" She looked at him with a smug smile.
Faelynn pulled the money into a pouch and held it casually in one of her hands. "Okay, so let me get this straight," She started as she walked back into the main room and handed Slaine the pouch of money. "Oralee just had a dream thing and hired Alexandre to escort her." She looked to Slaine and smirked. "Need a medic to tag along?"

Loa blinked in shock when he told her so abruptly not to say that. "Alright. I'm sorry, your Highness." Loa tilted her head at his odd statement. "Simply being me is being more than being your bodyguard or being your friend? How?" Feeling his attention shift again, Loa tilted her head. "They don't understand that Incolumitas is more advanced than us in military matters at the moment. They've been training for a war since their founding- our army is falling to pieces. We would just lose ourselves." She nodded. "He is. And I don't think he wants this war either. I'm not sure his Majesty knows what to do, in fact." Hearing the running of nobles, Loa swung around as nobles burst into the courtyard, obviously intend on snagging the Prince for another meeting. Glancing back at the Prince, Loa grinned, and tilted her head. "Since we're acting like children again, shall I sweep you into the skies?" Loa remembered fondly how many times she had freaked out the nobles by grabbing the prince and flying away with him.
