Looking about the room Zane began trying to move the cloth from over his eye. If he could uncover it he could use it to see into the ex crew member's mind. If he was lucky, he could get some insight to what was going on. "I love how it's take you guys this long to catch me." He said stepping off the elevator. ~ ~ ~ ~
Chephnem looked up from the sleeping man. "I guess. I mean the blast didn't his any of his vitals. It probably just hurt so his body shut down." She shrugged. "But I'm not sure. I don't know too much about how your human bodies work." ~ ~ ~ ~
Staying a step or two behind Farin Cella followed him back to their own room. "Do you think my brother really will be ok Master Farin?" She asked softly before crawling onto the bed and snuggling the pillow into her. "I don't know what I'd do if he died because he took a hit for me."

"I've only been on your crew for two weeks. In my opinion, that's a god damned record." A man opened up he ship for her and she pushed the man onto the ramp and into the flier. Like an older style police car, it had the back barred off and separated the driver from the arrested in the back. Depite her catch, however, Nana's concern was still her sister. Though inwardly she seemed to regret not giving her the cold shoulder upon seeing her.
---
Michaels nodded, "Well, you did a good job." He placed a hand gently on her shoulder. "I'm sure he'll be alright soon. I mean, I know how human bodies work, and, well, at least he's been responsive."
---
Farin shook his head. "No need to worry now, Cella. He'll be alright."

Sliding into the back he seemed calm. "You know as well as I do. I'll be out of here before long." Zane moved around in the back so he could stretch his long legs a bit. "Threatening Rina will only get you so far." He said with a smug grin as a plot began to form in the back of his head. ~ ~ ~ ~
Chephnem looked up with a small smile. She hadn't missed how he and Titania had been holding hands earlier. But now she was left wondering what was between them. "Thanks Michales. For Cella I hope he'll wake up soon. The girl is going to tear herself apart at this rate." ~ ~ ~ ~
Knowing Farin wasn't the comforting type Cella lifted the sheets and slid under them, pulling her new favorite pillow down with her. Making a little warm patch of soft blankets and pillow Cella settled in. Though she kept herself so she could see the clock and watch Farin to make sure he didn't need anything. "I'm sorry Master Farin." she said looking away. "I said bad words." She had meant when she had yelled at the shooter.

"Right." Nana rolled her eyes. "I think you're underestimating the Brigade, "And, more importantly, you're nowhere near as threatening as anyone else on the wanted list. My brothers are more threatening than you - well, one of them is above you on the list, but that's a long story." She shrugged, "Anyhow, if I do find out you want to try to get away, I'll just skin that little whore of yours and turn her into boots."
---
Michaels smiled weakly, "I'm sure she'll get better when he does. Actually, I'm glad you're not too bent out of shape. Though I'm sure you have a little more faith that he'll pull through." He shrugged and turned his attention back to the man on the bed, "But I'm sure you're worried too - after all he's your- no wait." He laughed a sheepish little laugh and made a face, "Wait, I'm always confused, are you two dating?"
---
Farin raised a brow for a moment before he realized what the girl was talking about. He sighed and placed a hand gently on her head. "It's okay Cella."

"Are you not supposed to be the good guys?" Zane asked with a roll of his eyes. Though he worried he decided to finally amp it down and try to keep cool. Deep down he hated himself for dragging her into his life. She deserved better, Cathrina was a good girl, who through some twists of fate found herself attached to him. Zane never fully understood why she loved him, yet he wouldn't complain. ~ ~ ~ ~
Chephnem shrugged. "I've seen him with a worse injury then this. I'm not too worried." She looked back down at him as he shifted in his sleep and let out a low moan. "No we are not dating. He says he loves me. I don't believe it, and well." She sighed looking back up at Michaels. "I kind of like someone else. Rocky is a good guy, he means well. But he's just too protective for me." ~ ~ ~ ~
Cella sighed, she began to think back on her action from the day. Maybe she had done something wrong that merited for this to happen. The only thing she could think of was that she had forgotten for a day that she was in fact a slave. With all the fun she had with Chephnem, Cella had thought herself a normal girl. "Thank you Master Farin."

"There's no such thing as good and evil. No good guys or bad guys. But there are laws. Those who abide by them face no repercussions, those who don't, well, they face the Brigade. The Brigade's not nice, unfortunately. Don't let it disappoint you to find out that your childhood heroes don't steal from the rich and give to the poor though. We don't aim to disappoint, just to... reeducate and rehabilitate those who have walked down the wrong path."
---
"Oh." Michaels blinked innocently, "That sucks, it really does." He sighed, "For the poor guy, I mean, I can't see why you wouldn't believe him. He seems true enough. But, that's unfortunate about your tastes being elsewhere. Happens though." He pat her on the shoulder again gently and smiled, "Anyway, hope that works out for you."
---
Farin shrugged and pulled out his planner, "Anything in particular you want to hear? I have to check my mail first, but I'm open to suggestions." He began to browse on the small screen for a moment before he made a face and rolled his eyes. "My brother's such a tool."

"Maybe laws have forced people to walk down he wrong path. Ever think of that?" Zane sat back in the seat and scoffed. "I didn't think so. Do us both a favor and shut the ******** up." ~ ~ ~ ~
Chephnem frowned, not understanding how he didn't get what she meant, but deciding to keep the conversation moving rather then an awkward confession. "He says he loves me, but goes and sleeps with the first easy girl he can find. Sorry I find his words lacking sincerity." ~ ~ ~ ~
Cella crawled around under the blankets till she was laying with her head where your feet were to be. "What has Master's brother done?" She asked quizzically looking at his planner. Not that it mattered she couldn't read a word on it. "Any story the Master is willing to read."

"Ooh. You're such a big boy and you talk such a big game." Nana raised the butt of the gun to hit him over the back of his head. "How about you shut the ******** up? I deal with vermin like you all of the time. I don't pity you for not following the rules. It's not like you were stealing bread to feed your poor starving family accross the galaxy. And even if you were, I know more non-profits than I do constellations. Only assholes resort to the type of s**t you do. And don't try to feed me some bullshit sob story either because you can't beat mine anyway."
---
Michaels sucked his teeth like he felt her pain. "Yeah, doesn't seem so sincere. Mom used to say though that men were always different in showing affection. I don't know, I've never had a man show me affection." He shrugged. "But really, if you don't even like him, then it's no big deal right?"
---
"He added files when he hacked my planner. He thinks it's cute to do that sort of elementary s**t." Farin rolled his eyes. He looked at an unnamed file curiously and opened it before he seemed to realize what it was. "I guess I know who his hacker is after all." He flipped through a few pages of it and decided that this might easily put the girl to sleep. "Want to hear this one? There aren't pictures, but it's a rather detailed story. It's likely a rather sesquipedalian story, so just stop me if you don't understand something. It's called Dissimulator." Farin settled into the bed more comfortably and began:
They say a lie begets a lie, but I certainly can't believe a liar begets another liar. A single lie though, sometimes, can be more frightening than a surplus of liars, or any web of untruths they have so meticulously constructed. Sometimes a lie is more than a little white one. Sometimes it is just that. Sometimes, however, that lie manifests itself so largely that it becomes a person. Less a person, really, more a character, a role, if you will, for a person to portray. In this case, that person was my friend. The lie, I was fooled time and time again. We have all, at one time or another, experienced that hopeful naivety at some time in our lives. We know we are being deceived but the pain is much more than we know we can bear, so we lie to ourselves instead. The lie I knew kept me going for a great majority of my life, and It all started with a lie as well...

"I don't care about your pity story. Everyone has one." Zane rolled his eyes wishing he could rub his head where she had hit him. "Honestly. You know you won't be able to hold me forever. So let's just get this done and over with so I can get back to my life and you can get back to yours." ~ ~ ~ ~
"It's weird. If someone says they love you, you expect them to act like it." Chephnem said looking back up to the human. "After so long of hearing it you begin to believe it, even if you don't want it. And you feel betrayed by actions that contradict what was said." ~ ~ ~ ~
Cella was at a lose what to say, or if she had any right to say anything. "That's a," She paused thinking of her words carefully. "well it's a rather interesting story." she frowned to herself.

Nana rolled her eyes. "It is ignorant of you, and yet it still astounds me, how you really, truly, seem to think that you can outwit the brigade. We've quite a record you know. There have been five escapes in the history of the brigade. You know who those were? Whatever you were going to guess is wrong. Myself and the other leaders is the correct answer." She scoffed, "Honey, you're nowhere near our level, so you can relax, really. And you'd best start thinking of ways to spnd your long lonely hours in the can." She started up all of the security measures on the back of the car and sat in her seat comfortably before she turned so she could explain to him. "The entire area around you is coated with Laser Solaris Plariton D, if you are unaware of what it is, I wouldn't test it. It's a forcefield basically, if you touch it, it'll vaporize you. It exists within the machinery and the walls - note the lack of windows, and it is the primary determent. Next there is a layer of nitrous oxide which will fill the back of the car, and then, isn't this fun, there's liquid nitrogen right in front of you, it triggers with any suspicious movement. There's also IDA. She's my design. She's an automated smart computer, who literally runs an entire galaxy in Anaxatar as well as any ship made on it and all of the cruisers in the area. She has one main frame and it is a living person, and it cannot be accessed by any other unit therefore she is the safest, most immune-to-hackers-or-corruption computer in the universe." Nana turned around in the other direction, "Moving on. IDA has a sample of your DNA that she acquired as soon as you were cuffed. She is locked on to your cellular structure and watching for movement, and only your skin's structure, so that whole spitting bit doesn't work." She thought for a moment, "Let's see. There will be four cruisers around us with the usual instructions, to fire at will upon any source of trouble, and, last, but certainly not least, there's me. And I'm the most dangerous of them all."
---
"Well, yeah..."Micahels started, "but, in his defense, if it's unrequited love, he might just assume you really don't care, or maybe even that you wouldn't notice. If you never pay him any mind, why should he hold himself up to your standards." He shook his head, "Nah, what am I saying? What are we saying? It doesn't matter anyway! You like someone besides him!"
---
Farin lowered the planner and looked over toward the girl. "You don't understand it?" He shrugged, "I understand. It's hard to comprehend for some people. You see, some people don't mind little white lies, some people are, well, hurt by them. Hurt by any lies really. On the other hand, there are those who lie. What the author of this is saying is that, well, she put her trust into a person, that person lied. They lied a lot. She forgave them all of that time, knowing full well that the other was a poisoned-tongued little wretch. In her case, later I believe it explains, the person was, let's just say false as hell. You know, one of those people who acts like a whole new person depending on whose presence they are in. True, we are all guilty of this to an extent, but one assumes that in the company of our familiars, we shouldn't be bearing false witness, am I right? I digress..." Farin reopened the page and continued to speak rather than read, "But in the end, it finally grew too much for her to handle. She spent a long time trying to decipher what, of this individual, was real and what was fake. Finally, she learns to no longer waste her time. It is a rather happy ending for the romantic at heart. The Liar ends up a friendless, nameless no-account with no one to blame but themself. It might be sad to the feeble minded, but poetic justice is the term I would use for the conclusion."

Zane sat dumbfounded. Well all his plans of escape dropped out the window. But with her explanation came a better understanding of what he was dealing with. It would take time, but he figured he could get out. His only hope was of course that Rina wasn't too upset with him. He had lied to her after all, and now they were both paying the price. "If they fire then wouldn't be killed to? Seems like you get the short end of the stick doing this job." ~ ~ ~ ~
"It doesn't matter. If he wanted to win me over he wouldn't sleep around." Chephnem glared at the sleeping man who let out another moan of pain. "But I guess you're right it doesn't matter I don't like him."
"Well gee Cheph, not exactly what I wanted to hear when waking up." Rockwell groaned out his words turning his head just barely to look at the two.
Chephnem sat up. "Rocky! Oh yay! You're ok!" Chephnem leaned onto the bed to smile down at him. ~ ~ ~ ~
Cella still frowned. "Sounds like the author is upset over some recent trouble. I mean if she sent that to you." Cella fell quite for a moment wondering what could be the reason for such a note. "Master is there a reason your brother would say such things to you?" She rolled over to lay on her back and look up. "I understand what you are saying Master Farin. But why would your brother send you such a story?"

"I am quite a valuable asset, sure. But we take our grabs very seriously. You would never get out of the back seat alive, so I really have nothing to worry about, but, in the off chance you survive a full-body vaporization, you still wouldn't get past the guns. And at that point I wouldn't mind taking one for the team." At that moment her planner began beeping and she sighed. She answered it rigidly, "I'm busy at the moment. This can wait I'm sure, but go ahead anyhow." She listened to the voice on the other end and sighed, "Alright, five then." And with no other words, she ended the private call.
---
Michaels smiled to himself, "Sure he's not the one you were talking about?" He turned around upon hearing the door and smiled seeing Titania enter. "Just in time."
"Yes, I see Snow White's awake." Titania took to the bedside with the other two and watched Chephnem hanging over him. "Well it looks like I know who princess charming is."
---
"It's not recent trouble, Cella. It's a signature." Farin closed the screen to open another one for himself. "She wanted the credit for cracking my planner's codes...again. It's really not impressive once you've seen it so much. And my brother didn't send the story, my sister did."

Zane could hardly sit still. "Your boss going to come pick me up?" He said with a small smirk. "I guess it could be because he doesn't trust you fully." It was a guess in the dark, but he was more or less trying to get her to keep talking, maybe she would tell him more that could help him. ~ ~ ~ ~
Rockwell frowned. "If I'm Snow White, what one of the seven dworves would you be? Grumpy?"
Chephnem sat back into her seat. "What are you guys talking about?"
"It's a old Earth movie." Rockwell said slowly turning his head to look back at the celieing. ~ ~ ~ ~
"Why do your siblings like to mess with the Master's stuff so much?" Cella asked watching him with the planner. She had one day planed to play with it when he wasn't around, but she chickened out every time she got a chance.

Nana scoffed "Nice try. For your information the brigade doesn't have a centralized rule. The lot of us only answer to one another. And besides, that was a personal phone call. But for your safety, I don't think you should know who it was. I wouldn't want you to get hurt after all." Nana gave the man a snarky grin in the rear view mirror before returning attention to taking off again. "Really though, your own safety." She smiled to herself when she started up again. "If you want, I have a book of my work back there, if you want to see it." On the floor in the back was a small circular device. A common book for the more advanced civilizations. Like the rest of them, the "book" could be pulled apart and would open an adjustable holographic screen, and in this book in particular, Nana had saved the wanted posters from all of her captures and important encounters. It was for her own record of course, but there was nothing else for him to do. Maybe that would shut him up too. After all, the first poster was War. War was a known hitman with a incredible stature and an intimidating, comic-book-villain look. Along with being a hitman, he was a pirate, a black-market trader and, earlier on, a revolutionary. "That first one's my favorite."
---
"It's an old Earth fairy tale." Titania corrected, "And for your information I'd be Happy since I'm such a ******** joy to be around. No wait that's Farin. If in fact we're all fairy tale characters, I think I'd make a better big bad wolf." She smirked, "Anyway, try not to die on my ship, the last thing I need is your a** haunting it."
"Aw she cares, isn't that cute?" Michaels replied with a feigned smile. He laughed for real and pulled away though when Titania swatted his arm with the back of her hand. "Haha ow!"
--- "They're all quite immature, Cella." Farin replied with a sigh. "They think if they get into my planner it will make me pay attention to them or something. They are always pining for my affections for some reason." He rolled his eyes then returned them to the picture on the screen. "I'm going to read this now, Cel, you probably won't like it. Why don't you sleep?"

For lake of anything better to do, Zane began to flip through some of the people she had caught. He knew some of them, had been friends with a few. Not that anyone was ever friends when it came to their line of work. Well he had put up a fight, it had taken them year to catch him, if only he had trusted his better instincts and never let the women on his crew. If only he had left Rina like he had planed from the start. Oh how his life had taken a sudden down ward spiral. ~ ~ ~ ~
Chephnem looked even more confused. "What's a fairy tale?"
Rockwell sighed. "That's why I said movie." He mumbled to himself. "It's a sort of story, usually involving magic and curses, stuff like that."
"Oh." She said with a frown. "So who would I be!?" She asked with a large smile, though she didn't really know any fairy tales, she could always read them later. ~ ~ ~ ~
Cella looked up from her spot on the bed. She wasn't tired, she had way too much on her mind. But it wasn't her nature to argue. "Yes Master Farin." Moving around on the bed till she found a comfortable spot she laid back down and put her head down.
