"Vlad," Barth supplied for Amrita, "is his name. Well, one of them. They're Malcolm's- did you see Calder, did he get free of the sled? ...Calder?" Barth tried again, a little pitiably.

Pausing as he walked, Jericho glanced back as he received a private thought. He lingered in place, staring at Riley and Christof. With a smokey sigh, he turned on around and made his way back to the Mindflayer, not paying the others any mind. He could hear that they were all very cold now. It also sounded like they were working on getting free from the sled but that wasn't something he was paying attention to all too much.
Back to where Riley was, he just flopped himself down onto the snow while letting out an agitated grumble at the whole situation.
He really wanted a fire. Or some lava. Or something.

"...Vlad?! You mean---" As in, the Vlad that was partially responsible for setting the Minis 101 class on fire?! That Vlad?! All she needed to hear was 'Malcolm' and everything was explained, making her sigh unhappily. "Er, th-thanks! And uh...I haven't seen him, no..." One more glance was cast back at Christof and Riley before she rounded and headed back to the sled, patting her thigh to keep the mini's attentions on her. Hopefully, hopefully they hadn't abandoned her or run away, that'd be bad. Especially since they were Malcolm's.
"Calder?" She parroted Barth, glancing at the Demon before practically falling sinking onto her knees, trying to listen closer. "I...I'll help you try to dig, if you want." She offered, because Barth totally looked like he was going to start digging through the snow.

Christof's reasoning made no sense to her. Most of the people still standing about were rainbow colored. He was grasping for excuses, and doing a bad job of it.
I'm not sure what's going on right now, Christof - but if you are not honest with me, I will not tolerate your presence. Remember that.
The threat was short-lived, as Jericho flopped down behind her once more, and she pushed herself back just enough to duck under the hill of his stomach again, shivering as the warmth returned.

"...Yes, if you would," Barth said, looking worried and still standing there.
"Calder? Can you hear us? We're coming to get you. The fire's out, now. It- it won't be a moment." To Amrita, he added nervously, "He got run through, earlier. On the Rat King's sword. He hasn't been doing very well. I was too, but it was just my side, mostly..."

Feeling Riley move towards him, Jericho shifted a bit before curling around once more. Not really up to saying anything, he merely rumbled lowly before resting his head down onto the snow. He was still very moody, but he'd stick by.

Christof was about to respond when Jericho returned, making quick use of himself as her make-shift heated sofa. His expression turned pained and he quickly looked down to his pigeon-toed boots, twisting the green scarf he had taken between his hands. I see you are... suitably tended to in any case. I will leave you both to... whatever you were doing in this pumpkin patch before I arrived. I am sorry to have bothered you, Mistress. The thought was cold, but polite before he turned to limp his way back to the sled.
Wordlessly, he dropped beside Amrita, ignoring her discussion with Barth before moving on autopilot to heft the sled up with a shoulder so she could access the kelpie easier.

"Sure thing, Boss." Amrita said meekly, parroting some line in a movie she saw once. The pile of snow and sled received a lost stare, like she wasn't sure where to start, and eventually decided that the white stuff in front of her would be the first to go.
"...What?!" Her eye widened, pausing momentarily to stare at him. Calder...run through?! She'd been impaled before, and even being undead didn't stop it from being completely not fun. Her efforts to dig the boil out doubled. Thankfully she was Undead and couldn't feel the cold, but the longer her hands remained in the snow, the harder it became to move her fingers. Not that she would tell anyone.
The second pause came when she saw Christof drop beside her to help, but she could think of nothing to say to him. She wanted to tell him she was glad he was okay, or to thank him for his help, or even to snark a little out of stressed spite, but...no words came. Instead her attention, however unhappy, went back to Barth.
"Are you okay? Did you put pressure on it?" She asked him as she dug, realizing suddenly that her fingers, as stiff and cold as they were, were no longer doing anything productive. At all. She trusted Christof to hold up the sled, and moved to duck under it, spotting the Kelpie among all the supplies.
"Barth - I see him! But I can't..." Do this alone, she added lamely in her head, too afraid to move him on her own just in case. "Help me!" She pleaded to the Demon.

Despite how long it had taken her, Riley really was quick to understand certain contextual clues hidden in the emotions of a phrase. Perhaps she just preferred to ignore Christof's antics because she enjoyed having him around, and did not want anything to ruin that. Or, perhaps, and most likely, she simply didn't care enough to delve deeper into it. The truth of the matter was, sitting there in the snow with nothing else to think about, Riley came to a very obvious conclusion.
You know, Riley murmured quietly, and privately to Jericho. I think Christof is jealous of us.

"Christof stitched it up," Barth said dismissively.
"Just- just unconscious, I think, isn't he?" He hesitated, kneeling in the wet snow to lightly brush aside the blanket and touch Calder's skin- a little sooty, but not burned.
"I can't move him either," Barth said, bluntly. Barth had trouble managing light objects. Calder weighed as much as a horse. "...Christof can. I can try to keep the slay up. But it will...take me a moment. Sorry. Hold on. Just- keep it there, Christof."
Barth remained in the snow. Thorns began their winding way up the sides of the abused slay, having a lot more success when they weren't on fire.

Jericho barely lifted his head as he heard Riley's voice seep into his mind. Though, her words caused him to give her a bit of an odd glance from the side.
he thought back to her. It made him kind of wonder what went on between the two just now.

He was.. abnormally insistent on assisting me, when I was perfectly fine. And others were in greater need. Even Barth.. She began, her mind already at work on methods of recovery from this obstacle. And when you returned to me, his voice grew cold, and he told me that I was, ah, suitably tended to. Her expression quirked in amusement. He mentioned the pumpkins with disdain. Perhaps he thought we were.. The thought ceased to be funny, and suddenly all the pumpkins she was holding dropped to the snow and she curled her tentacles away from them. Well. Let's not even joke about that.

Vlad was free, together with about four invisible pups.
Unsurprisingly enough, the fire did not bother them - anyone who had attended Malcolm's first class would know the shaman's fondness of campfires; his minipets probably got trained with a fire burning somewhere. That was why, while everything was going on, they were just standing there, calm as ever. If they weren't invisible, it would probably look like this.
emotion_dealwithit cool cool cool cool
What did bother Vlad was that Jericho had set his master's sled on fire... And then Christof flipped it like that angry bird man's ghoulfriend, the crazy expressive ghoul, would flip a table.
Jericho and Christof would get headbutted by a growling invisible dog. Followed by four yapping invisible puppies... Which probably didn't hurt them that much.
Riley, on the other hand, would receive "HI PRETTY LADY WE LIKE YOU" barks from the invisible minipets. The positive greeting somehow made her feel better. Magically.
The puppies then trotted over to Barth and laid at his feet as he... Well, they have no idea what in Jack's name he was doing, but they actually liked the Sloth demon. They were also probably warming his legs as they laid there, wagging their tails. He should probably try to get them to do something.
Vlad, on the other hand, was interested in Amrita - she seemed to be trying to get his attention? - and decided to shake off his antlers before laying them down at her feet before looking up at her expectantly. Wearing the antlers somehow kept your head warm. It was magical.
He then walked over to the shed and started to dig around the snow, grabbing something from it - a piece of rope from the poor, abused sled? - before moving over to Sammy and Siddie. Both ghouls would feel an invisible dog nudging their legs before the rope was laid down in front of them; he wants them to tie it around his collar. Something about the way Amrita had been leading Sammy around, and the undead's tone of voice, suggested that there was something wrong... And his master would know what to do for sure!
Vlad might also be not so invisible anymore, his paws covered in the rainbow substance from walking around so much.

There was plenty of things happening around Astra at the moment, which mainly involved rainbows, dragons, mindflayers and pissed of demons and patchworks.
But she wasn't concerned.
Because there had been a sled full of goodies, and while most of it had been scattered in the snow when Christoph flipped it, there was still a few blankets and scarfs she could steal and keep herself warm with.
But that wasn't all she did. Finding a spot in the snow, she had been digging and digging, until she had excavated a small hole in which she lined it with some of the scarfs, then dragged herself and the blanket inside. This was were she currently was, curled up inside the blanket and far from wanting to go outside again.
Yup, she now had a faerie snow fort. And as far as she was concerned, it was a magical barrier that would keep everything out. Including dragons.

Calder was unconscious, and slightly cold to the touch. He didn't respond when touched or when spoken to.
