I notice there are so little people who speak Mandarin!
I speak Cantonese and sadly alittle of Mandarin crying
However I got the 2nd highest mark on my Chinese exam! 4laugh

I can speak and understand Cantonese fluently, but I can't read or write much. =O But I always got the highest marks in my class for Chinese School.

xoxCharlenexox xXHotBabiBluXx xoxCharlenexox xXHotBabiBluXx In chinese I always get 90% above in my chinese test, I'm like a chinese nerd. rofl but I copy people's test, the teacher doesn't care. sweatdrop And I learn more chinese from watching chinese dramas shows and recognizing the words more than chinese school teaches me. sweatdrop lol..cool, oh my g, I got 74 on my chinese exam, I never got lower than 90 before. So gay. But oh wells, don't care much about chinese. xd
newayz,,,i dun think my mom is sending me bac...*sobs* crying lower? eek And I mean my chinese school grades, don't care about it. Only care about my english school grades. 3nodding

Liambiam I know a little Cantonese and can understand people talking in Cantonese. I don't understand Chinese writing or Mandarin though. crying same here

i can speak cantonese and understand a little bit or chinese writing and mandrin....if u dont know cantonese at my house then u won't know a thing about what people r talking about sweatdrop

ha ha I learn't Mandarin for three years, unfortunately that was way back when I was in primary school like six years ago. I remember some of it but not alot and I kinda came to brush up on my chinese skills then found out every either speaks cantoneses or english... English being the most common.

i'm shanghainese. i've lived in shanghai. so i can (nd alwais will) speak shanghainese fluently. my manderin's suffered since i've learned english.. which was like 4 yrs ago. now dat i have chinese tv again i'm like uber good at manderin again! lols. big words still get to me though >.>
as for writing... i suck. i can read everything just fine but i dun seem to remember the words >.>

Yeah, lots of people speak Cantonese.. but only like in HK and abroad, y'know..?
@Hanyue - Oooh, when I went to SH I could barely understand anything in Shanghainese.. xD

was shanghai cool or what?! xD i lub shanghai Really? I've seen some people typing in Shanghainese on teh net and I can't understand a single word sweatdrop (I can read the characters but it ish so different from mandarin)

I lived in Beijing ever since I was born...well, I moved to canada when I was 11 so I can speak fluently in Mandarine and write in it, and read it without problem...^_^
