THANK YOU! God. I know I wanna try for a natural birth but I also know I'm gonna be asking for meds. The place I'm going doesn't have hydrotherapy unfortunately but they have small IV units that I can move around with. I already know about the sleep when baby sleeps too. Kind of common sense there really. I don't think breastfed babies get much, if any, colic. How long were you put up for? Or better yet, how long did you take off work to adjust?

    Hello thar.
It looks like you have plenty of people who want a role,
so I will volunteer myself to be a back-up person if something happens,
or if you for some reason aren't able to fill up all the roles.

    I'm loving the Nutcracker theme.

We really don't have enough people. Not everyone who applies gets a part and a lot of people are vying for the same parts. As it stands currently, we don't have enough people for the cast.

In that case, let me know what role needs to be filled when the time draws nearer.
I will just give other people a chance first because as I said before,
I have 9-month-old baby who makes me risk being unreliable,
though I will try hard if people are counting on me. 3nodding 3nodding

Well, we need an audition to gauge writing. Since some of the roles require more...technique than others.

But I'll let you know. biggrin

Also...baby! whee (sorry, I like babies...)

    He's a handful! xD

    Let me know.
Or, if you prefer, I can audition and put "no preference" for the roles section.

Actually, that works well. Would you mind?

    Not at all.
I'll try to get to it today.

Yep, my (male) doctor encouraged me to try other pain medications before getting the epidural, but after he left, the (female) nurse came in and told me that if you don't have to put up with the pain, don't! She was very sweet. I had a wonderful birthing experience, actually quite spiritual; giving life is a very profound event.

My little guy is breastfed, but he still had colic. I don't think that's typical, as you said, and he's since had other digestive problems, gas that keeps him from sleeping the night through (still!) and heartburn. Breastfeeding for me was very difficult at first. The second night home, I was almost in tears because he was having so much trouble latching on. But I gave him a bottle and told myself I would try again later. I was determined, and I'm so glad I didn't give up because we are a happy nursing couple now. He is very fat and healthy, despite his immature digestive system.

Breastfeeding actually helped me get more sleep because I didn't have to make a bottle every time he wanted feeding. Also, we co-sleep, and that helps a lot too, so that I'm not going back and forth to his crib. I never really thought about it beforehand, but I've found that the attachment parenting style works well for us.

Most babies start sleeping through the night (as in five consecutive hours without feeding) from six weeks to three months. But it's different for everyone.

I'm not working currently, but people usually go back after six weeks. I'd recommend longer, though. c:
