As if the situation couldn't be more perfect, Romane heard the caterwaul of war from her enemy – Lotte had ordered her teammates to focus on Romane. This was indeed a threat and, even if it was entirely legal, Romane was already feeling the urge to throw her handcuffs at the woman and drag her into a cell. But that would be later, when she had destroyed her in competition as she attempted to do the same. Thankfully, Lotte didn't have any tomatoes, it seemed, so Romane only had to dodge the attempts of the woman's... 'minions', as she dubbed them. This would be simple; Rory, who was reacting first to this order, was scrawny and undoubtedly a bad aim. She had confidence as she saw the tomato that she could dodge it, although she wasn't at all pleased at the fact that she had to. The woman moved out of the way quickly, moving her eyes from Lotte to pay attention to the blond man.8/10

Conor hadn't had time to check if Yoakim's son actually dodged his tomato – fat chance, but, eh, Conor had s**t luck and he bet Yoakim's kids had awesome luck. It was possible. But, in any case, before he could figure out what had prevailed, Conor saw a tomato being flung at him from some angry and somewhat familiar Asian chick! What had he done to her? ********! Conor didn't understand why half the people that hated him, well, hated him! But, he didn't have time to try to figure it out and, hell, he didn't have time to flip her off because he wasn't going to get hit! Not before Riley had, anyway. He moved out of the way with a frown, wondering if Riley was getting aimed at as often as Conor was.13/15

As anyone probably would have guessed, Mimi had soon grown bored with the machine as she realized nothing was happening. It was dead! A piece of junk! Maybe worthy of being used as a clubhouse, but chances were mommy was going to take it in or something so they could use it to investigate the evil people after her! Mimi pouted at the thought, but she knew she couldn't interrupt mommy's investigation even if she really, really needed to. And this was so going to be yet another need she couldn't have! She had turned and sulked for a second, but caught sight of her bucket. The tomatoes within cheered her up as she realized she was still playing a game! YAY! She grabbed the bucket and was climbing down it when physical proof of the tomato festival was hurtling towards her. She let out a squeak and suddenly let go of the edge she was dangling from, hoping that good old gravity would get her out of the way in time!

Thankfully, Romane had dodged – as she had predicted – Rory's tomato. And, if it couldn't please her more, she saw that Lotte had been hit by predictably her own throw. She was less peeved at the situation, to be honest, and much more relaxed knowing that the blond was gone. Of course, she had trouble locating Lotte and doubted she would be able to arrest her now, but Romane's mind was more so on the competition. She surveyed her surroundings, spotting Mimi playing on that robot monstrosity that had been dragged to the square. The girl still seemed clean, so she could presume that she hadn't failed yet. This brought her spirits up, spirits that fell yet again as she saw another tomato being thrown at her. Ah. Of course. Lotte's second 'minion' had to attempt to take her out too. She held a flat expression as she moved out of the way, though she wasn't very worried; Ray wasn't a very athletic man either. Lotte had poor choice in 'underlings'.

Romane froze solid as she felt the oozing, cold guts of a tomato sliding down her uniform. The cleaners would need to be visited immediately. Her anger flared up and she sent a quiet look of utter disdain towards Ray King, memorizing his stoic, disturbing expression to the very last detail. This moment would not be forgotten and she relayed that message as best as Romane could through that look. Though, the tomatoes being thrown across her line of vision could easily block it, but she wasn't very caring about how prepared Ray would be for her wrath. The woman went over to the fallen daughter, handed her the tomatoes she had left, and gave her her best wishes before leaving to the sidelines to think with her husband. At the very least, Julian and the others would be spared of her lectures; her mind was on bigger things now.

AND JUSTICE HAD PREVAILED!! Finnian was bouncing about in place as he saw Lotte run off with her tail behind her legs – defeated, humiliated, and possibly encouraged onto the side of justice? Only time would tell! But no matter what happened, he would be here for her! Lotte would either face his open arms or closed fists and – TOMATO. He had almost forgotten about Lotte's henchman, who were probably out for revenge! Ahh, he had hoped they would be freed of her evil spell, but it seemed darkness still had it's hold on the men! Pity! He needed more underlings – er, fellow justice fighters! In any case, he moved out the way with his acrobatic grace~ ...Wait, that wasn't Lotte's – ? Ah! No time to rethink his thoughts! Lotte's obvious love interest was attacking him!23/30

Her tomato hadn't hit! Damn it! Zhi bared her teeth in frustration as she saw that that slow, stupid man had dodged her tomato! She wasn't any River, but even she should be able to hit something like Conor! She let out a huff and grabbed another tomato to prepare to hit him again, but a tomato had been thrown her way by some jealous girl before she could finish. She held back a curse so little Jeremy wouldn't hear it and moved out of the way – ah, River was so popular! Zhi had to suffer jealousy like this all the time as a result of her happy marriage with River! It was almost a compliment, really, but she was a little too peeved right then to take it as such.13/15

NO. NOOOO! Zhi found herself almost in tears as she saw the tomato against her shirt, plopping down to the ground as her resolve and energy felt to be. She was out! No way was she going to get revenge for River now! She only had one option. The girl spun around on her heel, dropped to her knees, and handed her bucket of tomatoes over to Jeremy, who was still miraculously in. “I have to go join your mother, son.” She brushed his hair behind his ear gently as she continued, “It's up to you to avenge us – avenge us against THAT MAN!” Same speech, maybe a few tweaks here and there, but at least she pointed to someone else – to Conor Alvey-LeBlanc! Even if she couldn't take revenge, she would at least assure River that someone would. Once she had finished, she turned away and stood back up with a cry of, “Riiiver!!” and ran off towards her wife~ ♥

Ah! She had dodged it! THANK YOU GRAVITY! She made a little heart shape using her fingers and shook it around at the air in hopes that gravity could see her awesome love for it! She was so happy she was still in because she hadn't been able to play AT ALL and – OMIGOD A TOMATO. She screamed out in a high pitch sure to ring someone's ears and ran around in circles, a biiiig smile on her face as she did it. MIAH WAS AIMING AT HER! Her bestest friend ever in the entire world was playing with her and she was having so much fun! SO MUCH FUN! She didn't even notice her mother coming over to encourage her and drop some tomatoes into her once-empty bucket – but she would surely thank gravity again for that little plus! If she even knew she didn't have anymore tomatoes at one point.. OH, well!

With the souls of his dead teammates powering him, Finnian continued on to the third round quite valiantly and joyfully~! Lotte was out, the demon woman that she was, and Finnian could now focus on succeeding in this contest as best as he could, even with his princess dead.. Ah, well, he had started it! And it wasn't as if there weren't a good number of princesses around to protect! He saw several young women and children playing alone without a hero to guard them – and Finnian was now perfectly available to fill that role. So, he looked for the first young man who could be perceived as a dangerous foe for a woman in the contest and laid his eyes on one. He took a tomato, aimed, and threw it at Ray! It was entirely by coincidence that the man also happened to be one of Lotte's henchman and a villain by association!22/30

Without Quentin there to give off that weird.. unknown source of pheromones, Ed was left to stand by himself and extremely bored. Not that that whole thing with Quentin had been enjoyable in the least, but it was distracting enough to hide how boring this entire contest was. He stood behind Morgan, using him halfheartedly as a shield from the onslaught of tomatoes, and counted how many people were still in. ..Fourteen, including himself.. How many had they started with? ..Was this almost done? He wasn't sure and he was even more unsure on whether he really cared about this ending soon. The library was closed on holidays and home was never a fun place to be, plus he was sure Quentin and Morgan would go their separate ways when they finished. He would be even more bored afterward. Ah, well, he guessed he bared with it every other day of the week; what made today any different?3/10
