Aisha glanced at him then again, "Done already?" She quirked a brow at him, her mouth slanted in a cheeky smile. It faded, however as she got a look at his face.

Kohaku smiled slightly, though it didn't reach his eyes. "You learn to eat quickly when people raise you in a militaristic fashion... though sometimes ya gotta eat fast to keep from being seen by 'pleasant' people," he said wryly. His tone made it obvious that his choice of the word 'pleasant' was sarcastic and it also showed that Kohaku was more jaded than he seemed in terms of trusting others.
He wasn't sure what he was sensing, but it didn't seem too friendly though it hadn't come any closer than the edges of his sensory range of a little over a mile and a half. Could be a sniper, then, he thought.

Aisha's nose twitched, "Seriously, your anxious and I can smell it. What are you...er...feeling?" She only just managed to keep her voice down. His evasiveness was getting on her nerves, though.

Kohaku exhaled, shrugging. "Honestly, I'm not sure. It could be just a bystander with a lot of energy, or something less friendly; I can't tell what it is, but it feels... different from anything I've sensed before," he said with a sigh.
Eva's eyes brightened and she hurried away. While she was away, their meal plates were cleared by another waitress. When Eva returned, she placed a saucer in front of each of them. On it was a red velvet cake cupcake with creamy cream chease frosting, "Please enjoy!"
Aisha's ears wiggled and she made a pleased coo before diving into her cupcake.

Kohaku ate steadily though not necessarily rapidly. He chuckled as he noticed a glob of cream cheese frosting hanging off of Aisha's nose as she lifted her head. "You have a little something hanging off of your nose," he murmured.
Aquamarine eyes crossed and white brows furrowed, "Hm?" Seeing the cream, she opened her mouth and proceeded to lick it off her own nose, very much like her four-legged counterparts.

Kohaku chuckled before a flickering aura engulfed him, then consumed him. Max blinked, looking down before she stood suddenly, looking very confused. Where Kohaku had been sitting was a deep amber furred fox kit with the same deep indigo-navy eyes with midnight blue edges that faded smoothly into the latter color and small foot long wings on the shoulders of the fox, who looked about ten to fourteen pounds in weight. "Damn, this is embarrassing," the fox kit sighed, shifting so his forepaws were balanced on the edge of the table, not seeming to notice that he was about sixteen inches from his nose to the tip of his tail.
Eva came back to collect their dessert plates to find that Kohaku had been replaced by... "I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry..." Her litany was quiet but clear as she hurried forward and scooped up Kohaku and buried her nose in his fur. It was as soft as she'd imagined. She hummed with pleasure, "Sorry..." She murmured.
Aisha let out a squeaky laugh, her ears wiggling in delight.

Kohaku blinked but other than yelping slightly when Eva scooped him up, he didn't seem to mind it. "A bit odd, but it's better one person reacts like that than a whole crowd... that was really disturbing when women from the age of twelve to as far up as sixty chase you for two miles and pop up more often than a field full of Jack-in-the-boxes," he said, not seeming bothered by Eva's reaction. A slight purr escaped him as the waitress' fingers brushed between his wings unintentionally. Max snickered as Angel giggled.
"Kohaku and Eva sittin' in a tree..." Aisha sang, because she was childish that way.
"You're just jealous." Eva retorted easily. She brushed that spot again, since he seemed to like it. She was delighted that he hadn't been bothered.

Kohaku exhaled in surprise, shivering as a low purring growl escaped him. "What, you're jealous you aren't in her position?" he said softly, unaware his voice was lower and softer, with a hint of a growl at the edges of his vowels.
Eva laughed and shook her head. She glanced to the side, seeing how late it was getting. They weren't open for supper, only early breakfast to late lunch, "We'll be closing soon. Stay if you need to." She regretfully put Kohaku down, giving him on last scratch before spinning and hurrying away.
