I know there are things toℊrieve about
Lila hesitated outside the door to her dorm. Should she knock? Well, it was her own dorm, so she felt she didn't have to knock, but wasn't sure. Besides, what if her roommates were still asleep and her knocking woke them up? That would be horrid! So she slowly and carefully opened the door. Inside, everything was silent, which made Lila feel more uncertain, and be a little more careful not to disturb the silence. She looked around. Either her roommates were still asleep, or they were already at the dance, she didn't know.
She sighed softly as she set her things down on the only empty bed. She didn't want to go to the dance, but felt compelled to anyways. It was supposed to be a school-wide event, so it wouldn't make sense for her to stay in her dorm all day. But did it have to be a Halloween dance? She didn't know anything about Halloween, and she certainly didn't have a costume! But she thought she might be able to come up with something using what she already had. She opened her suitcase, though she didn't need to to know what was inside: mostly long sleeve shirts and pants in white and shades of gray(not 50). She had also packed a white dress for formal events, if this school had any, and she had just picked up a set of school uniforms. The uniforms contrasted greatly from the rest of her things, mostly in that they were much more colorful than her own clothing, but also in that they were much less modest than she preferred. She picked up one of the red plaid skirts and grimaced as she looked at it. Did they really expect her to wear such a short skirt? Just the thought was horrifying! She set the uniforms off to the side and got to thinking. What could she do with all that white? Maybe a snowman? She had watched an animated film once that featured a snowman that came to life. What was it called, Snowy? Icee? It was Frosty, she thought, but wasn't sure. She could do something like that, she guessed.
She grabbed a turtleneck sweater and some white pants, and attached big black buttons to the sweater. She was lucky enough to find a top hat that looked suitable enough for the costume that she didn't even remember bringing, and plucked a fake flower from the decorative potted plant on the center of the kitchen table of the dorm, which she stuck on her hat. She didn't have a pipe, however, so the costume would have to do without it. However, she did have a red and white striped scarf, which she thought would make her seem more like the character. It seemed Christmas-y, and she was fairly certain the movie was Christmas themed, it suited her Frosty costume well. After assembling everything she needed, she tried the costume on and looked at herself in the floor length mirror in the bathroom. It wasn't bad, but she felt it needed something. Suddenly remembering that the character had a bright red nose, she found a bit of red paint and blotted it on her nose. She smiled at herself nervously in the mirror. She didn't look bad. And her pale skin and hair did help, a lot.
She returned to her bed, to return all of her things to her suitcase, then headed out of the dorm to go to the dance.

Kiku smiled. "True." The heat returned to his face as he felt Mei's head drop onto his shoulder. He in turn rested his head on top of Mei's, enjoying just sitting there and being with her.
