The webbing hit both Flora and Chronos, and they found that they could not move. It was sort of a deja vu for Chronos; the monster at the Temple had done the same thing when it had grasped her. But this was a youma, and ordinary youma did not possess this sort of power. Unless it was a different sort of youma, something they had not encountered before... and would start to encounter from now on...
After a few desperate struggles, they fought free of the webbing, and Flora glanced warily back at where Chronos stood, receiving a nod in return. She was about to turn back to attack the monster again, when it hit a civilian. Flora started forward and then stopped as the glowing began, watching as the fireworks (or whatever it was) hit the youma and then disappeared.
Taking the civilian with it.
What in the world?
Chronos could not understand it either, turning her gaze to the glowing light. There was something strange about it she could not put her finger on. And then suddenly just as she watched a boy turn into Celsus, she understood.
Upon exploring the Castle, Chronos had been puzzled as to why there was a whole floor with rooms once inhabited that she could not exactly put her finger on. The rush of memories came to her upon seeing her symbol hanging around his neck, on his boots, on his sleeves. Chronos remembered. Flora shot her a puzzled look, but Chronos only smiled, eyes shining brightly at Celsus. The Knights. Her Knights, who had served by her and aided them in the battles once upon a before.
"I'm glad." Chronos said as she reached Celcus, resting a gentle hand on his arm. "Do you know what you can do? I don't know if you can remember but..." She shifted into her Princess form then, pink butterfly wings emerging from her back, and pointed to the symbol upon her forehead.
"What?" Flora chipped in confusedly, from behind her Princess. And then she saw the connection. "Oh. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. Oh."

Grus practically glowed as Babylon spoke, and nodded in agreement. "Yes, we senshi and you knights are allies till the end!" This kid picked a good time to go powered up. Already his first battle!
She shook her head at Babylon's inquiry, saying "I wish I could take the help, but my magic is spent right now." She lifted both her arms in a shrug, while inside she was berating herself for firing off the last of her magic recklessly. Her anger still boiled at the loss of the civilian's life though, and she knew there was no way she would have been able to stop herself.
"I'm sure there is another senshi who could use it though." She added, looking around at the freed senshi. "I'm going to have to stick to rocks though." Grus took a few steps back as Chronos began doing something. She watched from a few feet away curiously, keeping the spider in her periphrial.

" Mm, that'd be bad." Darwin agreed with the new girl (Keren) that was following them out. " Instead of studying, you'd be studied."
Eyeing Chronos' transformation out of the corner of his eye, he added, " Especially if you sprout wings."
Winged not-aliens? Could they fly? That would explain a lot actually. Having an overhead view would've made making crop circles a lot easeir. And hey, they could've been playing flashlight tag in the sky and been mistaken for UFO's!

Valhalla grimaced as the spiderweb spread around the room, preventing practically everyone from moving. "Stop struggling," he called over to Ganymede when it was apparent that they were going to have to think of a better way of getting out of this web than just wiggling around. Of course, he could be wrong and the only thing that could get them out was to be to flail about, but at the moment it didn't seem to help. Maybe if they didn't move the spider wouldn't be able to tell that they were there. That was how spiders found things in their webs, right...? If their prey moved?
Either way, Valhalla couldn't see what the spider or many of the others were doing, as he was caught with his arm mostly in front of his face to keep the web from wrapping around his neck when it had been sprayed about. Something did seem to be happening, though, and once the spider web disappeared, he was able to turn around and... realize that there was another knight with them.
But there was something wrong... Even as Babylon and Grus and the others greeted Celsus... there were people missing. He didn't know who, but as he looked around the room to count everyone again... some were gone.
"Who's missing? Does anyone know??" Valhalla called in the room, although he looked up when he heard Raven say something about Jett and another girl. s**t, were people really missing??
"Guys, check the rubble! Make sure no one got stuck under anything! Eliza! Be careful!" he called, as he counted everyone again, not thinking this was the best place to stand around. He quickly turned back to Ganymede to make sure the senshi was okay as well. "Are you hurt?" he asked, obviously concerned for him as well as for whoever went missing. Damn, he should have been keeping a closer eye on everyone.
"Babylon, your lantern can't help find people, can it??" Because that would be helpful. "I'm two down on my head count!"

The spider was reeling, and it was obvious that just a little more effort would take it down. It didn't even try to attack, its energies depleted by the venom and the pair of spells; it just wavered, slowly, towards the middle of the room in a half-hearted attempt at escape...
Quickly! Everyone roll a d10 to defeat the monster before it can leave the room!
Battlefield Bonus: Virgo Outpost recognizes and welcomes the return of the Chronos Knights! +10 to Celsus's damage roll.

It ate the crazy girl. It ate the crazy girl. IT ATE THE CRAZY GIRL. At least that was her best interpretation, and her terrified inner mantra at the actions of the spider. Gold light might be all that remained, but she wasn't too sure about that either. The closest she'd come to being comfortable with the 'Tinkerbell' nickname was applying it to Chronos, who did have some resemblance to the part. Besides, for all she knew, that golden cloud would strip the flesh and bones from anyone that touched it. Maybe it was even Monster-Spider-Poop. She wasn't planning on getting close enough to investigate.
...She also wasn't enormously thrilled when the giant spider started to move and try and get away. She wasn't even thinking deeply enough to know where it was trying to go, automatically assuming that it would be trying to march on the beds where the most grievously injured were waiting, like a platter full of Petit Fours.
She wasn't even terribly concerned with how slowly it was moving, though that may have factored into a burst of bravery mixed that mixed with her continued terror to let her reach for another rock, grabbing it with both hands in spite of the pain this caused in her wounds, old and new, and hurl it at the spider with a wordless, somewhat Amazonian scream.
******** Spider... wasn't going to eat HER.
Weather or not she hit the spider or some other poor soul though, that was pretty much up to fate.

Celsus gave a smile to Eliza, winking at her conspiratorially before his gaze flickered towards the auburn haired senshi approaching him, introducing herself as Grus. Following her introduction, another walked up - this one by the name of Babylon.
"A pleasure," came the almost automatic answer, Celsus ducking his head in a gesture of greeting to the both of them. A small smile made his lips twitch, quirking upwards at the ends, and he replied in a low, amused voice: "I, er...kind of gathered that about the senshi so far. And the whole 'big, mean, ugly thing trying to kill us all.' But I do appreciate your help."
Celsus clapped a hand on the shoulder of his fellow knight, eyes twinkling, but his attention had already been drawn away by the touch of a gentle hand against his arm. Standing beside him was a girl with pale, emerald hair who looked very familiar...
Especially with the wings that fluttered out of her back. Recognition dawned on Celsus' face - recognition and delight.
"Princess," he said genially, and took her hand, pressing a brief kiss to the back of it before straightening. "Of course I remember you; how could I forget such a lovely face?"
Grinning cheekily, Celsus' eyes snapped sideways abruptly. There had been a movement, just out of the corner of his eye, and now he could see what it was - the enormous spider had started to move again, rumbling towards the center as if trying to surreptitiously make its way from he room without being noticed.
"Oh, no you don't - !"
He pushed past Chronos and seized the nearest thing - the slab of marble he had discarded earlier. With a grunt of determination, Celsus swung it with every ounce of strength he could at the beast. It hit with a resounding crack, the force of the blow shivering all the way up his arms and reverberating in his chest.
"You - bloody - b*****d - !"

Ganymede barely registered being released from the youma’s web, nor did he feel much relieved when one of the civilians became a knight before his very eyes, but instead began to feel quite lost in all the commotion, as old doubts and insecurities and fears began to bubble to the surface, and he wondered what he was even doing here. There was so much going on—this way, that way, every-which-way, someone missing, someone injured, someone dead, shouting and screaming and run, run, run, until it all sort of blended together in a rush of color and movement and muffled sound, and he had no idea what he was even supposed to be doing anymore.
Get rid of the youma, and then what? Wait for it all to happen again? Because it always did, somehow, days or weeks or months later.
He shook his head at Valhalla’s concern, pulling off a few stray strings of webbing as the commotion continued, looking around numbly at some of the others, at the new knight, at the cowering youma, and he shook his head again because he didn’t know how else to answer. “No,” he said, his grip loosening on the sliver of stone he still held in one hand. “No, I’m not hurt.”
He wasn’t hurt, but he wasn’t okay either, and he thought that anyone who claimed that they were were deluding themselves, because who could really be okay with all of this nonsense?
He picked up another rock and threw it, as hard as he could, though the movement itself seemed sort of mechanical, as if he were only doing it because he knew he had to, not because he wanted to. He picked up another rock, and another, and another, and threw them all in turn, then hurled his sliver of stone at the youma until he was empty handed, and he had nothing left except that small glimmer of hope inside that made him think maybe things wouldn’t always be like this, maybe there was a solution, maybe there was a reason to it all. But a glimmer wasn’t always enough.

Eliza stopped spacing when Vahalla called her name and turned just in time to catch Celsus smile and wink at her. She smiled slightly before moving to grab a piece of rubble, her belt long gone by now.
She picked up the biggest piece she could feasibly throw and chucked it at the youma. "You aren't getting away with what you did to that girl," she shouted.
She watched the rock sore making sure it was go the right path, turning just before it hit though and running over to Vahalla and another she did not know. "This is crazy," she said, "more adventure than I think I bargained for."

Raven turned at all of the commotion, frowning as she saw the newest addition of a powered person...
Ah...a knight or something? Is that what they were saying? Whatever. She looked at the spider, hatred in her eyes. "Oh. You're going to pay. You're going to pay for all you've done, you stupid spider."
She reached down, picking up another piece of marble, throwing it at the creature. "I hate you. I hate this damn place."
Raven seemed quite smugly pleased when the marble made contact, and seemed to do at least a fair amount of damage. Once more she took Candice's hand. "Come on. I'm so tired of all of this. And I'm hungry. Let's go to Leo."

Well, the others certainly seemed to be ready to kill the youma, just as long as they didn't get themselves hurt. Valhalla offered a weak smile to Eliza as she made her way over to him and Ganymede, leaning down to pick up a rock to hurl at the spider. "Just stay alive, and preferably unharmed," he suggested, not wanting to see any injury befall on her or anyone else.
"He's Ganymede, by the way," he introduced quickly. "And Ganymede, this is Eliza." He figured it was the least he could do. They were all on the same side, after all. Might as well know the names of their allies.
Valhalla did notice something off about his friend, though, and watched in concern as Ganymede's energy and motivation seemed to fade and go out. He threw one more rock, before turning to grab onto his arm, and push him away from the spider and behind a column so he wouldn't have to watch the fighting, but also so he wouldn't get hurt for being so distracted.
Despite making introductions, Valhalla didn't think now was a time to discuss what was wrong, though. All he could do was keep the senshi safe and do his best to keep the others safe as well while they got rid of the youma.

(( Totally didn't fall sleep before editing this x; ))
Candice was tired of this. She just wanted to go home now. It seemed as though it was a little bit of a loneliness mixed in with her feeling of not being able to do much for the people here anyways. It didn't help that she wished that the strange space took her rapier along with her. At least that was something she was good at.
When Candice looked at the monster, what else could she really do. She looked back at the steel rod she was using as her weapon, half laughing at herself. "What am I really doing? Why am I even holding this thing?" Without another thought, she threw the rod towards the monster as hard as she could, hoping that it would do some damage. All in all, however, it seemed as though Candice's fighting spirit was reaching it's low point.
Even when Raven reached for her hand again, something felt wrong and felt like Raven didn't really want to do it. Candice failed at reassuring her that Jett was okay, but now she felt as though she couldn't even reassure herself of anything. She took Raven's hand, just for the sake of doing something. "Yeah... Sure... Let's get out of here..."

"Not any more than a normal lantern!" Babylon called to Valhalla, feeling useless. "Two down? Are you sure they didn't just leave? And did you factor in that one of them got-"
He stopped right there, because it was a bit too soon to refer to such things so casually. "The lantern's pretty good for whacking things, though-"
And with the spider approaching and trying to break out to the layers below, now would be a good time to stop talking and start hurting. Babylon spun his arms in a mighty swing, heaving the lantern against one of the spider's legs.
"How do you like me now?" the squire grunted, question aimed at no one in particular.

When Zephyr finally pulled himself free from the spider webbing, he felt an overwhelming urge to take a bath. "Ugh." A disgusted sound and Zephyr shook out his arm and coat. He was covered in webs, saliva, and god knew what else. Frolicking with a spider was not what he had intended today.
It was only the movements of the spider that would alert the senshi of wind's attention to the next events. Zephyr's blue eyes kept his gaze riveted on the stream of blood from Hawke's body, finally looking away as he heard the sound of her dead body hitting the surrounding. "Tch." Zephyr was clearly disappointed by the death of the girl, Hawke when he had clearly told her not to die. So this was what Chronos meant by the dangers and disappearances of the surrounding.
Seeing Chronos's transformation from the corner of his eye, and judging from the sparkle from earlier, Zephyr could easily deduce that one of their new allies had awakened. Zephyr pointed to the new knight of Chronos, Celsus , "How very interesting indeed." Whether it would be fortunate or not would depend entirely on him.

The barrage of attacks from civilian and powered character alike might have been enough to finish off the giant enemy spider. But it was no mystery at all who had struck the killing blow: Celsus and his marble slab slammed between the spider's multitude of eyes, and with a massive crunch the giant spider fell back, back, back--and into a pile of dust. Congratulations, everyone! You did it!dun dun dun dunnn dun dun DUN DUN DUN
