...Sister? Ah ha! So Hel and this Valkyrie were related! From the looks of it, Hel was very happy to see her sister here, which was a good thing she supposed! At least, the Baku gathered that the two got along quite well (and that was always more pleasant to see than constantly bickering siblings). After watching them for a moment, she turned her attention back to Mitsu and Shun.
Xiu was most certainly not going to force her friend to take part in the course--she would never force someone to try that--but the Baku was happily surprised when the lycan announced that she was going to go give it a go. Smiling encouragingly, she reached out to give her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "You can do it, Mitsu! I'll be cheering you on!"

Herryk jogged back to the concession stand, exhaling with a small puff before that cocky 'I totally kicked your butt' smile was gleaming in Freya's direction -- immediately followed by a flex. Fists lifted as Herryk flexed his biceps, grunting a little with the effort.
"Herryk wins... again. Was worried for a little minute, but when ladybird had to try again.. and again... well, Herryk did not worry so much about losing -- he was worried more about the bruises that Freya might get after falling on her face over and over again." Guffawing, Herryk struck another pose. "Maybe next time, ladybird."

"Ahhh, mmmmm.." Freya made several noises as she tried to think of exactly what she wanted to eat, when she finally sighed and threw her arms up. "I wants everythings! You give me whatevers you like, pretty ghoul, and I will eats it!"
She laughed boisterously, but the happy sound was cut short when she realized that the big puffy baby boil was going up to bat in the obstacle course. She wasn't going to watch, really, but she might have been sneaking a side glance every so often..
Only to see him SWEEP THE ENTIRE COURSE LIKE IT WAS A JOKE.
With every accomplishment, Freya's joyful look fell, until she had a sour face that looked like Shehk had fed her a lemon. This was the expression Herryk was treated to when he jogged over to her, and rubbed his victory in her face.
Then, he was treated to silence, as she stewed there in anguish. Was she going to cry? Of course not, Freya didn't cry over something like that! She did, however, want to deny the existence of the boil who had just managed to bruise her ego, perhaps a little too hard.
Her lips pursed tightly, as her face crunched up in upset, and then she swiveled around, hair and wings flying straight at him. She turned her back on him, folded her arms up tightly around her, and looked like she was going to try to ignore his very existence. But her face was still tight with dismay, and maybe just a little bit of hurt pride.
Still, as far as Freya was concerned, Herryk no longer existed.

Stupid Obstacle Course was STUPID.
Mot had tried three times the other day. He`d gotten close, but not close enough to beat it. Worst game ever. The only reason he was back was because Shehk would murder him if he didn't try and run it again.
So, he came to the concession stand to psyche himself up first.
He really.. didn't want to do this again. It was like a gym class from Hell. Mot did not do gym well. The cowboil let out an exasperated sigh.
He hoped Shehk didn't notice him. Maybe he could just say he did it and leave...

Shehk looked at Freya, then at Herryk, then at Freya, shaking her head and sighing a bit. They had such chemistry. She meant that comparatively, but truly if her own relationship was any judge...then everything would end up disaterously and one of them would end up pining hopelessly for the other... siiiiggghhhh. The pricolici shook her head at her own stupidity, but continued to entertain it.
"I'll..umm.." Shehk paused, looking at the list of 'things Shehk can make without destroying the world' recipes that had been written down for her use. Which meant that she was going to need to ..do..something. Hrm. She eventually just randomly dragged her finger down the list and stopped at random. Hmmm... Spookies and Scream shake? SHe....could attempt that. Albeit, watching Shehk behind the counter and how she eyeballed every piece of food was probably hilarious.
Not to say Shehk didn't have a -taste- for the food that would hurt her, she simply had an aversion to crippling herself for days because of her meal choices. At the very least, when she was done with her prep, she crumbled a spookie on top of the entire mess..paused..then shoved two more whole spookies so they stuck out of the top, along with a straw, before she offered it to the valkyrie ghoul.
The entire mess. Everything that had been in the blender, was offered to Freya. That was a lot of shake.
"There y'go~" she grinned, before it seemed she'd spotted someone else she was familiar with. Oh yes, she was definitely familiar with the reaper boil who had made his way to the concession booth. "Well I'll be! You decided to take another spin at it~?" Shehk seemed elated, sans the fact that she'd more or less threatened Mot into trying again.
What. Dying was awkward, painful, and left a sort of cold feeling on one. She wasn't going to let anybody else do that if she could help it.

Shun glanced to Mot briefly as he came by. He looked a bit dour, but it was hard to tell with the hat. Eh, he was probably fine. Glancing over at Herryk and Freya, he raised an eyebrow before making his way back to the obstacle course. He needed to improve his score.

After watching the Reaper beat the course for the second time, Jericho shook his head and decided it was time for him to take a quick break by concessions. Christof could watch things over in the meantime. Besides, he was getting kind of hungry, so some food would be good right about now.
Sometime later, he was going to have to take a try at his own course, just to see how he'd fair. But that would have to wait.
Stopping by Junko's stand, he grinned and waved to everyone there. There were a few faces that he was not too familiar with. One notable one was the blonde Valkyrie that was looking a little disgruntled. He didn't know why... she had cleared the course and did pretty well from what he recalled.
"Hey Junko. Can I get some flaming wings?" he requested before looking over at the blonde winged girl. Uh.. Freja was her name right? At least that was what he recalled from recording the scores. Something like that at least.
"Is something wrong?"

Returning from the Terror Warrior course with his hands in his pockets, Shun just let out a breath and let himself relax. He was pretty tired from that last run, but he was at least somewhat satisfied with his improved score. It wasn't by much, but it was still something, he supposed.
A part of him still felt that he could have done better.
Overachiever.

Straight. Up. Ignored. Dissed and dismissed.
Herryk glanced at Shehk when Freya abruptly turned and gave him a face full of feathers. His expression was one of 'what did I do wrong?!' -- it had been something of a friendly competition, right? Right? For some reason, though, the expression on her face before she'd turned and presented him with the backside of her wings (and almost a mouthful of hair) had taken some of the glory out of his victory.
Suddenly winning wasn't as fun as he'd imagined it would be. Don't get it twisted -- it was still fun -- but the expression on her face and Freya's outright dismissal of him, well, it didn't sit well. It didn't sit well at all.
"Awww, ladybird," he cajoled, flicking a feather, "you are ignoring Herryk now?" Total sadface, what the jack. He really didn't know what to do to make her feel better. "Herryk will buy you lunch anyway?"

Hel tensed, expecting some form of mocking to come forth from her older sister’s lips but was only met with a kiss to the cheek and some rather encouraging words.
Huh. Freya must be in a really good mood!
After a moment, the reaper let out a laugh and a firm nod of her head. “Yes, next time!” She echoed, and then grinned once the suggestion of food came up. As Herryk jogged up to her sister though and spoke to her, the younger Brynhildr sister paused, and just observed the two. It was like a tennis match! Hel’s gaze shifted from Herryk to Freya, back and forth, until the most curious thing happened.
Freya turned her back to him.
Freya never turned her back to anyone. That was a sign of weakness and it meant an easy way for you enemy to get one up on you! Luckily this wasn’t a hardcore battle situation…but still, this was rather….uncommon behavior from her older sister. Hel looked back at Herryk again, then back at Freya, and then her gaze went back to the boil, who was trying so hard to get back into Freya’s good graces. A smile tugged at Hel’s lips. Oh Jack, what a terribly exciting day it was so far (despite her failures), and it was just getting better. Was this a break the reaper was looking for in her secret quest she had started a few years back?
The ghoul reached out to pat Freya on the shoulder, grinning up at her. “Aw, do not fret, dear sister!” Hel cooed. “I am sure you are still fatigued from your journey here, where as our good friend here has been well rested! It only makes sense that he should handle the course like a fine warrior!” Hel admittedly was rather envious of Herryk’s Terror Warrior skills as well, but she wasn’t the one he was in a competition with. Hel tilted her head as she looked up at the older valkyrie. “Of course, you can’t take this laying down, dear sister, I propose a rematch one day in the future for you both! When you are both well rested, yes?”
Here Hel paused, for her cowboil senses were tingling. That and she saw a familiar hat out of the corner of her eye. Immediately her head whipped around to stare in Mot’s direction. “Ah, Mot!” She called out, and immediately made a beckoning motion with her hand as she grinned widely. “Come, come! You have to meet my sister!” Hel had a bit of a one track mind now, and her previous thought had been derailed in favor of introducing Mot to her Freya, and vice versa.

Mitsu made her way back to the concession stands wet and a little disappointed in her run through the course. True she had made it far but in the end she had still failed. Shun had warned her that it was hard though and he had been right.
Spotting the reaper not far off the lycan came to stand by his side staying quiet mostly for the time being. Not only was she a little disappointed but at the moment she was a little tired and sore.

Freya reached out to take the large, delicious looking drink from Shehk, giving her what she hoped looked like a grateful smile. "It looks wonderful. Thanks you." She popped the straw in her mouth, and sucked on it noisily. It might have been her way of trying to drown out Herryk's words, especially since she almost choked when he offered lunch - but she refused to notably admit it. Instead, she gave him furtive side-glances that bordered on 'I'm not listening to you but I know you're there' expressions. Instead, she pointedly responded to the other boil who had been nice enough to ask her if something was wrong.
She popped the straw out of her mouth and gave him a 1000 watt smile. "Nah nah, of course not! There is definitely nothings wrong. You are very kinds for asking, though! I am Freya. It's nice to meets you, friend!" She held her hand out for Jericho.
Hel was saying things that made Freya feel compelled to look at Herryk again. This discomforted her, because she didn't want to look at the baby boil anymore. So she shuffled from foot to foot, and tried to evade the subject entirely. This of course meant she did not evade it at all.
"He gets no rematch, because the baby boil keeps talkings to ladybird. Do you sees any ladybirds around here, crumpet? I do not sees any ladybirds. He is talkings to himself, he is a crazy baby boil." She was reaching, and even she knew it.
Oh look, a distraction!
"What hah, is that the Mot you wrotes to me about?" Oh good Odin, that boil was thin. So very thin and breakable. Freya looked at him curiously, wondering just how much it would take to break the poor thing.

Spotting Mitsu returning... more wet and weary than she was than when she left to try, Shun made his way over towards her. He had seen her runs and quite frankly, she did pretty well considering her general lack of confidence.
"Nice job out there," he said quietly.

Mot smiled wryly at Shehk, giving her a short wave. "Right, yes. Try, try again." He was so not going to, Jack Damnit.
Mot turned his head when he was called out by Hel. Oh no. The ghoul who made him try the course in the first place. And she wanted him to meet the famous sister? Like this? A miserable heap of defeat?
Wow.. he was like that a lot since coming to school...
The boil grinned, although it looked somewhat forced. He'd just pretend he was tired from uh.. running the course.. that he hadn't run yet that day. "Hiiiiii Hel." Mot took a few steps, approaching the pair. "This is her, then?"
Somehow, it felt as if he was being judged. Quite unnerving. "It's a pleasure. Hel says great things about you."

It seemed that Freya's attitude had brightened a hundred fold at his question. Blinking for the moment, Jericho soon chuckled and reached out to shake her hand. Well, she certainly was a friendly one. The accent was pretty thick, but he was still able to understand her.
As she spoke to Hel, he looked at the two girls, wondering if they knew each other. The way they spoke definitely signified that they did. Perhaps they were related to one another.
"I'm Jericho, the Treasurer of the Student Council," he responded, "Nice to meet you Freya."
Though... he did notice some of the seemingly hostile tension about. He was unaware of the rivalry that had spurred up at the concession stands, but the dragon could see that something wasn't quite right.
