Kirin sighed and nodded slightly. "Unfortunately, I never had much of a family before E-Day..." With another sigh, she rested her head on his shoulder. "Just don't do anything stupid, got it? I'll kill you myself if you screw yourself over... which includes drinking too much."

Tanner chuckled and nodded. "Hey, this Is the first drink I've had In three months." He said as he looked at her a bit.

"Good." Kirin straightened up and continued eating her meal, quickly finishing when she realized how hungry she was. She rubbed her eyes when she was done. "I'm beat..."

Tanner stood up with his tray. "Lets catch some Z's then." He said before walking to the front of the food line, everyone was sitting down so no one was In line. He simply handed his tray to one of the server's who nodded to Tanner with a smile before walking off to wash the tray along with others. After that, TK went to the lunch room doors and waited on Kirin.

Matthew, Amy and their father James were finally allowed to see Nickolas now that he was awake. They walked Into his room. Amy almost ran over to him and brushed some of his bangs from his face before kissing his forehead, she had a warm and sweet smile.
"Hey sweetie, how are you doing?" She asked.

Kirin copied Tanner and handed her tray back before trotting after him.

Nickolas chuckled softly, smiling up at their mother. "H-hey... Doing better.... Still feel like h**l, but that'll go away soon enough. I'm all patched up and ready to go," he said, pushing himself to a sitting position, only to grit his teeth as he felt a spike of pain rip through his chest.

Tanner walked with her to the sleeping quarter's, he was quite, not knowing what to say.

Kirin walked quietly to the sleeping quarter's. She paused when they got there, looking up at Tanner for a moment. Then she sighed to herself and headed to her own bed to rest.

Nickolas sighed but laid down again. "I promise, it's not that bad. I'll be up on my feet again in no time, just you watch."

"Night Ren'." Tanner said to Kirin before heading to his bed.

Amy smiled and kissed his forehead. "I can't wait~" She said before moving a bit to let James come over.
James smiled at Nick, he ruffled his hair. "Make that a promise. I want to see you up and marching with Matthew again."
Matthew watched them from the other side of the room, he was still standing beside the door, leaning back against the wall. He also had his arms crossed.

Nick chuckled quietly before nodding to their father. "I promise..." Then he turned his head and looked over at Matthew. "M-matt?... What'cha doing all the way over there?... Something on your mind?"

James and Amy decided to leave the brothers alone so they could talk If they wanted too.
Matt didn't answer Nick until their parents left. "I was just thinking about that missile factory... If the locust can build something like that... do we have a chance of winning this war?"

Nickolas tilted his head slightly as he thought for a bit. Then he propped himself up on his elbows a bit, biting his lip just enough as a faint sear of pain surged in his chest. "L-look. We still have a chance of winning... We just need to find other places that may be built like that missile factory... I'm not giving up in this war until either we win, or I die and bring down a countless number of locust with me..."

Matthew sighed, he rubbed his eyes a bit In a stressful way. He seemed like he was going to cry. Being a soldier and seeing the things Matt has... It was a heavy burden to carry. "I just.... I don't want to see anyone hurt anymore... I've has so many of my family die In my arms because of the locust. I'm tired of It." He hid his eyes with his hand as he sobbed quietly.

Nick pushed him up into a full sitting position, sighing softly. "Unfortunately, life isn't fair. We're trapped in a war and people are going to get hurt and some are going to die... The only thing we can do is either give in or continue fighting. If we continue fighting, then we're going to one day bring the locust down... Then we can rebuild everything that was destroyed and make sure this never happens again..."

Matthew stayed quite for a moment, he lifted his head a bit after wiping some tears away. "I understand, I guess I just need a break." He said before walking over to Nick with a smile.
