Belvah blinked, smiling back at Calli. "Congrats and good luck Calli~" She beamed. Inwardly, the silvery gray female was wondering just how many of these women had picked a yes rune.

"I didn't know you could read these~ You're super talented!" Even if the spotted female next to her was competition for Rais' heart, Callie was still her friend. She didn't want to ruin that, even if they had just met.

Caleigh smiles shyly almost. "Good luck to you too," she said, giving a quick nod, enough to make her dizzy just for a moment. "Never do that again," she giggled highly. "I think you make a bootiful bride!"

Round Three

Earthmother gathered the runes from the faun and returned them to her velveteen purple satchel. "The spirits have chosen seven strong and beautiful candidates as mate for our Chief. Amadorine, Belvah, Caleigh, Isolde, Junkyard, Kishi, and Myrielle. I am happy for the rest of the lovely fauness that they have found someone to share their hearts and lives with. I wish you luck and love on your journey through life. You may return to your families and loved ones now."

"We will begin the ritual, with a Test of Mind. To serve as Chiefess, a faun must possess knowledge of the elements and our sources of power and life. Behind the dais, on the wall is a mural depicted the circle of elements, with our source of life, The Light, in the center."

The mural is a very lovely flowing abstract image with each element representing one point of a star surrounding a large globe in the center. Each point of the star has a crack, a hole, or some sort of notch.

On the floor below the mural are small jars. Each jar contains a small representation of each elemental that is important to Telrunya.
  • The first jar contains a clear liquid.
  • The second jar contains a tiny flame.
  • The third jar looks empty, but once it is opened, a tiny twister will appear.
  • The fourth jar contains soil.
  • The fifth jar contains a small, swirly black orb. A tab on this jar says, "Do Not Open."

"Ladies, to show that you understand what each element represents, you must solve this age-old puzzle." Earthmother unrolls a very large parchment scroll and begins to read the riddle:

Quote:
The mightiest warrior will often find,
They are nothing without their mind,
A test before you, requires thought,
Or achievement you'll have naught.

North is where your trial begins,
The order moves as a clock spins,
The final piece to feel surrounded
Of the others it has founded,

First is forever, change it refuses,
Stable and confident, traits that it chooses,

Second to first, a formless counterpart,
Flowing in change is part of its art,

Third is the greatest, yet nothing to its name,
Creation though, part of its domain,

Fourth is not seen, but in its caress,
Compassion and freedom, it wants to express,

Fifth the consumer, last on the stage,
You will feel its desire, passion and rage,

Last to be placed, but first in time,
in centre shines, the elemental prime.

---------------

Players: Your faun must choose which element goes where, in the proper order according to the poem. When they are in the proper order, the center globe will glow bright. Earthmother will reveal who was correct at the end of this round.

We are looking for creativity as well as the proper order for this round. smile Good luck!

Hint: The fifth element on Telrunya is a bit mysterious. It encompasses everything of the unknown, including life, death and magic itself. We call it "Void" or "Aether"

Belvah smiled at her friend, "I'm sure you'd be a very gorgeous bride too Calli~" She encouraged, only to turn her full attention to Earthmother as she spoke.

She frowned, listening to the riddle intently. It was a very nice one, yet still needed to be figured out. The silvery female crossed her arms, thinking it over and stepping back to watch the other females and see what they were doing.

After a moment, Belvah decided it wasn't worth waiting and she would attempt to figure out the riddle without being concerned of the other women. She thought about it, there was really only one element she could think of for the consumer, and that was the tiny jar of fire. She ticked that off in her mind. She'd have to put that on the appropriate point.

So another point of the star? She ran over the wording in her mind, from the end to the beginning. Not right, and Belvah knew it, but it worked for her. She figured the empty jar would contain some sort of air, and simply nodded, ticking that off as the fourth element according to the scroll.

When she noticed that no one else was going up to place the element jars, Belvah made her move. With a quiet smile, she picked up the jars filled with the fire and nothingness. It took her a moment before she thought about it. To open the jar would be interesting, and certainly would work better than just putting them inside with the jar..

She held the empty looking jar between her feet, opening the one filled with flames. "This is.. harder than I thought." Belvah blushed, holding the open end of the jar to the notch in the wall. Amazed, the element went inside. She tried the same with the empty jar. The silvery female frowned a bit as the twister spun around a bit before finally settling in it's place.

The third element was next. She frowned, not sure what to pick. The other jars were obvious, and yet she couldn't possibly think what this element was. The answer struck her! She smiled, picking the jar that said 'Do Not Open'. This time, she figured she would listen. She placed the jar securely into the notch, pleased that it fit almost perfectly.

The second and first elements were left. She chose the jar of clear liquid inside of it. Hmm.. Water was hard to get to stay inside of anythng other than a jar.. Belvah decided it was worth a shot though, since this isle was filled with magic, she could very possibly get it to stay where it was supposed to go. She unscrewed the lid on the jar, and tried to pour it into the hole.

Of course there was no luck, and she quickly re-capped the jar and placed it inside of the slot to the right of the top crack. That left the soil left for the top most part.

The silvery female smiled to herself, double checking her work. Soil, Water, the black stuff, Twister, and fire. She nodded to herself, believing it to be done. She hoped she had gotten right as she took a step back and looked at Earthmother. "There is my entry. I sincerely hope it's right." She whispered, not sure what to do now.

Caleigh frowned, going ahead. She looked around before approaching the mural. Her eyebrows scrunched together as she read the parchment. Her mind was going a mile a minute, giving herself a headache. "Don't like this," she mumbled, rubbing her head.

She looked around her, looking at Belvah and frowned before she sighed. "Clock spins. It goes to the right," she mumbled to herself quietly. "Ok," she frowned, taking a deep breath as she proceeded to put the fourth jar into the first spot going clockwise, to the right. "Dirt, yup, yup," the female mumbled, unscrewing the jar and dumped the dirt into the first hole, giving a cough when some of it went back in her face. "Dirty dirt."

"Second to first..." she mumbled, trying to read the rest of the verse. "Flowing in change. Flowing, flowing. What flows?" the spotted hyena asked herself, scratching her head. "This is hard," she whines, a rather high-pitched sound. "Oh duh!" she then squealed, moving the bottle of clear liquid to be the second. "There we go, you heavy, aren't you?" the female said to the jar, giving a grunt as she dumped the water into the second hole to the right.

"Third. Ok, still more?" Caleigh asked herself, giving a sigh, shaking her head. "Is the greatest. Creat-t-tion. Crea-tition," she tried to pronounced. "Oh! Creating something. Life? Dirt?" the spotted female asked, frowning, looking to the small jars. "That is funny-looking," the female pointed at the twister thingy in the clear jar. "No, that the bad one. Ok. Crea-t-tion," she said. "Well, mr, black thing, you go here," she said, setting the fifth jar in third before she picked it up and grimaced, peering at it. "Do. Not. Open," she said slowly. "But it says.. the jar is going in there," she then grimaced, opening it and stuck it in the hole very quickly. "I hope that works," she said, moving back to peer at the other jars.

"Ok, ok. Four. Compassion and freedom? Express," the spotted hyena once again sat down to deliberate on that. Her head was already pounding from the puzzled thinking. "Freedom? Free?" she asked, looking around once more. She looked to Belvah, smiling weakly before looking once more. "I done," she mumbled, moving the twister-looking thing over. "I definitely not opening this," Caleigh laughed rather highly. "But it says I do. I hope they don't blame me," she said, peering at the bottle and opened it before sticking it into the fourth hole.

The female finally looked to the fifth verse in the riddle. One a flame and the. "Passion, rage. Didn't someone said it burns? Ooh!" she claps like a child, moving it over to be the fifth one in the clockwise circle. "Ok, ok. Last one," Caleigh whines, sweat beading against her forehead, mumbling to her. The woman took the jar and peered at it. "So pretty," she mumbled, opening it and stuck it in the fifth hole, clock-wise. "I'm done! Whew, This was hard!"

Due to her inner freaking out, Isolde did not hear the Earthmother say the word mate. Honestly she didn't start really hearing until she heard the word's 'Test of Mind'. While she did not know what a Chieftess was, it didn't sound like a sacrifice or anything, but perhaps it was a bad thing to fail. She didn't want to risk it anyway.

Wandering up to the mural, she looked at it, amazed with it's craftsmanship. It was a while before she actually saw the jars, and realized that she needed to do something with them.

She had to think for a few moments. Did the riddle mean actual north, or perhaps a general one, like the slot at the top. Top slot. That sounded good enough. She wasn't a living compass after all. As for the order, Isolde held out one hand so she could look at it, making an L with her index finger and thumb. She began moving her index finger in the direction she usually say minute hands on clocks go. She then knew which way she should place her jar...things.

“First one...That sounds like a rock...” Isolde mumbled to herself as she looked at the jars. The closest thing to that was the soil. She shook the soil jar and listened to it. It sounded like there were a few rocks in within the soil, which made her grin. Perfect. She hummed as she opened the jar and dug around the soil for a few pebbles, and then grabbing some of the actual soil and shoving it rather inelegantly into the top point. She then focused on the next point on the right.

“Second one...” she mused. “Formless and flowing... That could be either water or air...I think the empty bottle is air...” she pondered, sitting down for a moment to think. She mumbled and groaned for a good bit before snarling and throwing her hands into the air. “That's it! I'll skip this one and go on...” she grumped and moved to the next point clockwise on the star.

“Third is...what? You know what, I'm skipping that one too...” she said with a humph. She did not want to deal with trying to figure out which one of these things were nameless.

Next one on the list. “Fourth...not seen...” she said as she thought, looking at the jars. “Air! You can't see air!” she said as she unscrewed the jar lid, only to nearly have a heart attack as a twister began to form. She shrieked and shoved the mouth of the jar at the hole in the star where it was to go, and held it there until she was sure the twister terror had gone into it's proper place.

“O...okay...” she stammered. “That means water goes in the second slot...” She poured the water into the hole, and though while some got into it, a good bit splashed all over her, which did not improve her mood. But she pressed on. She needed to do this. Perhaps they would find her a place to stay here if she won this riddle thing.

“Fifth..consume...rage...huh, fire is considered rage like, and it eats what it burns...sort of...” she said as she picked up the jar with the flame, but nearly dropped it as it was rather hot. Still, she managed to keep a hold of it long enough to open the jar and shove it at the notch, which to her glee the fire moved. She then quickly dropped the jar. “Now I wish I still had the water,” she whimpered as she shook her hands to cool them down.

Looking at the doom jar, she began to chuckle. “Well, apparently you have no name,” she said as she picked it up to look at it. “You look like a void...of nothingness, but I guess that there once was nothing, and then something came from the nothingness, so you could have creation abilities in you...” she said, talking to the jar as if it was a person before setting the jar into the hole in the third slot.

Finally, she was able to return to the Earthmother with a smile on her face. “I have made my choices. I apologize for taking so long, but I wished to be certain with each of my decisions. I hope you find it to your liking.”

Oh thank the Great Tree...

She had wanted to speak more with the Earthmother, but...she seemed rather busy, and honestly, Vanya was relieved to be released from the dais. Ah well, whatever this whole 'ritual' business was could wait. For now, Vanya needed a little time away, some quiet, some solitude...

Well, mostly solitude...sorta'.

Her hooves carried her off the stage with a rhythmic clatter, and Vanya darted lightly around any Faun in her path, heading back towards where she'd come from...

But Takis was gone. She frowned, glancing around the recessed alcove for a moment in puzzlement. He wouldn't leave her...would he? No, of course not. She knew he wouldn't. He swore he wouldn't. Her crimson eyes darted over the crowd, looking for some sign...there! Standing near a tall, green spotted male, Takis stood, still looking towards the dais. Slipping her way through the crowd once more, Vanya made her way towards Takis, forgetting for now to even worry who the other male was, or even register how similar the two appeared, standing next to one another like that.

Emerging just behind the pair, she said nothing, but reached out and laid her hand on Takis' arm with a slight smile.

Takis turns to the Pae who'd touched him; he assumes it's someone wanting to get by, but then his eyebrows go up upon recognition of Vanya. "Vanya!" he exclaims, leaning forward to give her a gentle hug. "I'm so glad to see you down here off that platform!" He realizes the moment the words leave his mouth that they have definite emotional implications. He blushes and runs a hand through his hair.

"Er, right. Vanya, this is my father," he says, gesturing to the green, spotted male beside him. "Papa, this is my friend Vanya." He gives a soft smile, trying not to blush. They could sort out their feelings later.

Hm, that explains a lot. Takis' watching the stage with such worry even after reassuring him about Calais? That blush? Mhmm, he was definitely smitten. "A pleasure to meet you," says Kieran, turning on the goofy charm he reserved for the ladies. It's difficult to turn off, really. "I'm pleased to see my son keep such lovely company." He smiles. "You're welcome in our home anytime."

Takis, standing a little behind his father, smacks his palm against his forehead gently. Why was he such a fool around women?

Amadorine gently pressed her hands to the mural when it was her turn, her fingers running gently over the depiction. Her amethyst eyes turned to the Earthmother as she began reading the riddle. Frowning a little, she looked over the jars in front of her. Hmmm, word problems, her not-so-favorite past time from when she was little.

Still, the poem held enough clues that she could at least place a few jars right away. Her hand reached out for the first jar, the one filled with liquid, and she placed it in front of her, away from the others, making a mental note of it being second. Pausing for a minute, she then reached out and grabed the second jar as well and placed it farther away from the first jar, noting it as the fifth in line. Water, she knew, was always changing it's shap to get where it needed to go. As for the flame, fire was often used to describe the incredibly strong feelings that were listed. Now that she had two elements out of the way, she only had three left.

After another moment of deep consideration, she picked up the empty looking jar. "Air, I'm assuming... unless it's some poisonus fumes or something along those lines." she muttered to herself, then placed it in line right next to the flame-holding jar before looking back to the last two. It was a lot more obvious now, since she had no clue over what the black swirly mass was, that it was probably the one that fit into the third spot. That left the jar full of dirt for the first spot.

Her father had always said to double check work when she was little, and glancing over her row of answers, she mentally checked them all off. Even if she didn't really WANT to be doing this, and even if her answers were wrong, at least she knew she had tried her best and she could take pride in that.

Unscrewing the first jar, she inhaled the smell of fesh soil, feeling her tail wiggle a little at the comforting smell before placing it at the top slot of the mural. "It starts at north..." She said softly as she picked up the jar of liquid, "then moves like a clock."

Opening up the jar, the smell of it told her it was fresh water, probably from a nearby stream, and she placed it into the second slot of the mural. Rather gingerly, she picked up the jar with the black mass, and something in her mind nudged foreward her father's readings at one poine about a Void element. She couldn't remember much on it, but she knew enough that she needed to be careful with the jar as she placed it into the third slot. Once it was safely in, she let out the breath she didn't know she'd been holding until that moment.

For the fourth slot, she picked up the seemingly empty jar, and opened it. A small yelp came from her and she instantly cringed as the twister whipped around her. Once the winds settled into gentle breezes, she placed the jar at the fourth slot. Twisting open the final jar, the flame expanded a bit as it was given fresh air to breath, and she placed it into the last slot on the mural.

Amadorine took a step back and inhaled deeply, watching the mural for a moment before glancing over to the Earthmother.

Junkyard listened and though, why the hell was she picked for this? This was not something she was good at. Riddles? Um, no. Not that she wasn't smart, but she was the type to just fight without a plan. Planning was for the weak, so smart tests were also for those that hadn't the brawn to take life by the teeth.

She watched the others for a while. Not to cheat but just because she wasn't sure what she was doing anyway. This was just not in her comfort zone.

After a while the dobie walked over to the items and the mural. She looked at the jars and tried to remember the poem riddle. What was first? Well, it was about going in a clock... alright.

She picked soil first. It did seem like it didn't change and was stable. She stuffed it in it's place.

Next she picked water. Flowing was the key word she used for that. She knew water flowed. That seemed correct.

Twister was the third she picked. She had no idea why. Something about creation and she thought about how wind could cause that. Or so she guessed being that she wasn't normally the smartest.

The black orb she used next. This one really was pure guess as she had no idea what it was or what it was meant to be. She pushed it in it's place or so she hopped being the only idea she had.

Next she used the flame. She knew it was fire for that one. It seemed right and it was with water the only two she felt for sure was right.

Lastly Junkyard thought the middle was the sun or light. There wasn't a jar for it so she just looked to the mural and assumed that was meant to just know not to do anything.

The dobie stepped back thinking that was the best she could do. Not that she was right, and if she wasn't it didn't matter. She was a teen and maybe not meant to be a leader anyway. Junkyard did her best and that was all she could do.

Not quite picking up on the unspoken language between the father and son, Vanya simply looked a bit confused, then nodded with a polite smile. "Err..thank you, very much, sir. I appreciate your welcoming nature." She gave the elder male a slight bow, all the while keeping her hand lightly on Takis' arm. She'd enjoyed the enthusiastic hug to celebrate her return, more than she'd shown. She too was glad to be down off that dais, though her reasons for that were numerous.

Kishi waited until the other fauns had completed the task. She watched with interest, because she had no idea what she was going to do. The poem itself wasn't difficult to decipher, but how was she going to get the elements into the mural? The cracks, holes and crannies were not big enough for an entire jar to be fit in. Besides, how would the element react if it was in a jar?

Now that it was her turn, she knelt down and picked up each jar, one at a time and examined the contents.

"First is Earth." she muttered, and picked up the jar with the soil again. She stood to examine the crack in the delicate carving of the element. She removed the cork and sniffed the contents. "Regular ol' dirt." She poured a little of it out in to her hand, and then lifted her hand up to the crack. With a quick flip of her wrist, she smacked the dirt into the crack and rubbed her hand over it so the dirt would go in. The crack sealed up. "So that is how it works."

Satisfied she's figured this out now, she picks up the jar with the clear liquid. "This has to be water, because it is formless and flowing." She pulls the cork off this jar and poured a little into her cupped hand. Only a tiny amount remained, but she lifted her hand to the little hole on the mural, and like she did with the dirt, she smeared the small amount of water over the crack. Nothing happened. "Maybe it's not water?" She looked in the jar, sniffed, but didn't detect any scent to the liquid. She held the jar and stared at the hole for a few minutes, pondering how to get the water to stay in the hole. Maybe she just didn't have enough in her palm. She held the mouth of the jar up to the hole and tilted the jar just enough that some of the water poured in to it. The hole sealed up. "Finally!"

"I have no idea what is third. Creation, nothing to it's name... Oh! Void. But what is Void?" Kishi looked over the jars trying to use process of elimination. "Fire is obvious, but what is the empty jar? And this black thing?" She held both jars, looking between the two and the mural. "Air is unseen, so this has to be a jar full of air." She set the jar of air down and lifted the tag on the jar. "Do Not Open. I wonder why."

Kishi glanced over her shoulder at Earthmother, and Rais, and the other girls. Squatting down and huddling over so no one could see what she was doing, she pulled the cork from the jar with the black swirling mass.

There was a suction; a type of pull in the air. The little black mass in the jar was sucking in everything like a little black hole. "Oh no!" This was not unnoticed, and everyone on the dais would feel the pull and the flying papers, leaves and other small debris flying into the jar was hard to miss.

As her hair and fur were tugged towards the inside of the jar, Kishi panicked and tried to find the cork. In her frantic search, she noticed a larger hole on the third point of the star in the mural, and it was about the same size as the mouth of the jar in her hand. Maybe that would work to stop it from sucking in everything. She held the jar, which was hard to manuever considering it was wanting to point towards where everyone was and not towards the tree. Like putting a hand over a vacuum hose, the jar got stuck to the hole on the mural. The little swirly black mass was absorbed into the tree and then the jar fell off as the hole sealed.

"Huh, so that's what I was supposed to do?" Kishi was skeptical about that, but it worked at least. She took a few seconds to glance around and the place was a mess now. Hair was disheveled, and leaves and grass and papers were littered everywhere. "I ... I will... I will clean this up!" she said to Earthmother when she noticed the glare. "Sorry!"

Turning back to the mural, Kishi sighed. "I am not chieftess material." she whispered and picked up the jar of air. It was just an empty jar, so she figured it was harmless enough. And couldn't be as destructive as the last jar.

She was wrong. She opened the jar and out came a little twister, but this time, instead of sucking things in to it, it was blowing things around. Reacting quicker this time, Kishi pushed the mouth of the jar to the crack on the fourth point of the star. The wind was absorbed, as was the void, and the crack sealed up.

This was more dangerous than she thought. She looked at the jar with the small flame in it, and was scared to open it. She didn't want to burn the whole tree down this time. The other girls were right to not open the jars like they did.

She looked at the fifth point, and the notch that was created. It did not look like a crack or natural hole in the wood like the others. It looked like it was purposely carved into the wood. But it looked like an afterthought or like the carver slipped with his chisel.

"Do I chance opening this jar?" She watched the little flame inside dance, as if it was taunting and teasing her, urging her to give in to the temptation to uncork the jar. It was mesmerizing, watching the tiny flame. Open the jar. She thought she heard it whisper. As if under the trance of the tiny flame, she pulled the cork from the jar.

The little flame jumped out of the jar. It did not grow or cause any fires, but the darn little thing hopped around as if it had a mind of his own. "Oh crap!" she chased it around the dais, slamming the little jar down each time she thought she might catch it. "Stop, don't run away!" she cried after it.

Kishi felt like she was going to die of embarrassment. This sacred ritual and she kept messing it up.

How do I catch a little flame? She wondered as she snuck up on it while it rested on the floor beside Rais. That slippery little sucker hopped around like a little grasshopper, so she thought maybe a net would catch it. Don't be stupid, you can't catch fire with a net.

Kishi was so preoccupied with catching that little flame, she did not watch her feet, and she stepped on the empty Void jar. It rolled a little forward, then backwards, sending Kishi to the ground. She was now face to face with the little flame. It was merely inches from her nose. She remained still as a statue.

The tiny flame just danced in front of her, teasing her again. Please little flame, I need you on the mural. Kishi started moving her hands towards the flame, but it didn't not run or hop away. She kept her eyes on it , and slowly brought her hands together, palms up and the little flame jumped into them.

"Thank you!" She slowly rose to her feet, keeping very steady to not spook the flame. She walked towards the mural and held her hands up to the notch. The flame leaped from her hands on to the mural, and as it was absorbed, the notch was filled in with a tiny little flame carving that looked like the one that was contained in the jar.

Kishi sighed and finally exhaled. She wiped her brow and moved to join the rest of the girls. Why had this not been as hard for them, she wondered.

Ella waited her turn, looking pretty pleased with herself. She and Uncle Rais were already good mates just from living at the tree together, so this was a cinch. She was awesome at making new amigos. Why his mom didn't think he could make friends on his own was beyond the little orange faun. She never had any problem with making new mates to hang out with and party with. She just figured adults were more rigid and thereby too shy to make new buddies.

Completely oblivious to the marriage part of this whole encounter, Myrielle took to her task diligently.

"So... the first one never changes." The faun peered over the jars. "OH! Fire! Water changes to ice and steam. Sand changes to glass. Wind changes all the time. So it has to be fire!" She completed the first segment with the FIRE.

"Now, something flowy and arty... hmm," the faun mused, wiggling from excitement. "AH HA! This thing is flowy and very art deco!" She completed the second portion with the VOID.

This was more fun than she had even imagined. Best. Day. EVER.

Moving on to the third segment, the faun paused to reflect. "Creation... that has to be the soil. Everything comes from the land and from The Great Tree! When we pass we become the land." Ella confidently completed this portion with the EARTH.

For the fourth, the teen once again relied on her powers of deduction. "Hmm, freedom and clear. It has to be this bottle here." Picking up the clear liquid, Ella grinned. "I've never seen a Pae more free than when drinking Vodka!" She turned to the mural and completed the segment with WATER.

"So one left. Oooo, a jar of air? That HAS to be right. Desire, passion, rage? Totally a hurricane!"

Completing the last of the mural, Ella grinned and hopped back in line. "We should play this game at every party!"

Elimination Round Four

When Amadorine, Belvah, Caleigh, Isolde, and Kishi placed the elements into the openings on the mural, the center globe began to glow bright.

Quote:
Last to be placed, but first in time,
in centre shines, the elemental prime.

"All elements originated in The Light. The Creator brought us The Light, which gave us all life. Well done, ladies. I'm sorry Junkyard and Myrielle, you did not get the elements placed in the correct order. You are free to join your friends and family.

The next task will be the Test of Body. Rais needs a strong and healthy wife, with the endurance to withstand any obstacle that may be placed in front of her.

In ancient times, there existed five temples on Telrunya, each a sacred and reverent place for the Pae'il. Each temple housed and protected the elemental aspect of which all Pae'il were born. Four of the five temples have been discovered. Two have regained their power, and one has been rebuilt. One lies in ruin, and the fifth temple has been hidden from us.

Ancient tradition has sent each chieftess candidate to the temples for their Test of Body ritual, but sadly, in this modern day, we cannot do that. The Temple of Fire in Dragnid is far too dangerous for us to tread, and the Temple of Air is missing. Templa Temple was rebuilt years ago, but is long dormant and abandoned.

With the blessings of the spirits, we have created alternate locations for you to visit.

Traditionally, young fauness must meet with the Keeper of the Element, and persuade them to gift a symbol of the Elemental magic. The fauness then must return to the tree with proof of her journey.

Chief Rais is the Keeper of the Earth Element. Queen Tariel is the Keeper of the Water Element. The Keepers of the Void, Air and Fire are lost still, however, whomever is chosen to gather the Void must travel to Templa Temple in Loka Nei Forest. Whomever must gather the Air element must ascend Laisidhiel, and climb her tallest branch to breach the canopy. The air from there should work. And to gather the proper fire element, you can enter the Falassian House of Healing for information."

--------

Each candidate will be assigned an element, and must travel to that location and barter with whoever is protecting the element for a symbol or item representing the element.

Earth = Amadorine, you will be talking to Rais.
Water = Belvah, you will need to travel to Tuatha Ri Lake and find a way to speak to Queen Tariel.
Void = Kishi, you will need to travel to Templa Temple and search for some item representing Void/Aether.
Air = Isolde, you will find the highest branch of Laisidhiel, breach the canopy and wait.
Fire = Caleigh, you will travel to the Falassion House of Healing, and find the High Matriarch.

Instructions:
  • Each player must have their Faun travel to the proper location, and wait for a reply.
  • The Faun has to convince the entity that replies to give them some sort of item or trinket that represents the element.
  • This round might last longer than a day, depending on how quick players are to respond to their prompts. Do not worry, this won't drag on for more than three days tops.
  • The entity must be convinced, and there is a chance they will not want to give up their items.

Ella watched at the light started to glow, then fizzled out with a pitiful noise. "Uh oh! APPARENTLY, some murals just can't hold their liquor."

She looked nonplussed for all of 3.5 seconds before the goofy grin crept back onto her face.

"ALL OF THE REST OF YOU CAN BE MY MATES! Party after all this is over!!! We'll have balloons and streamers and caaaake."

It was all very cute and teenagery... with the exception of the almost demonic inflection she put on the word cake.

"Huh?" Isolde said with a head tilt. She shouldn't have walked so far away, as now she couldn't hear the Earthmother speak very well, but as she moved closer, she heard what about the temples and such, but again, missed the whole 'wife' business. Still, she was looking forward to this. She loved climbing trees, and was more than willing to prove herself a strong bodied faun. Maybe they'd give her a job as a guard or something. She really wish she didn't miss the possible council positions, but maybe she could show off enough to be offered something? She sure was hoping so anyway.

So with that she set off on her journey, going slow and steady, knowing if she hurried she could easily miss her footing and plummet to her death. Branch by branch she heaved herself higher and higher, taking in the wonderful views, sounds, and smells. Sure, it was hard work, and she had never climbed this high before, but her heart raced with excitement as she got closer and closer to the top.

Finally, she thrust herself up to see the sky. It was so beautiful up here. She could see on forever.
