Israfel had never been a very good power house. Often, it was just sheer dumb luck when he was able to fight. But weights? Maybe he could do that. Managing to lift a weight, he only got a meager heft before he unceremoniously dropped it to the ground with a thunk. "....."
He was pretty sure he just left a dent in the floor.
"Oops."

Off to one side, Eris folded her arms coolly across her chest as she watched the others lift the weights, eyeing a few of the boils with interest as their muscles bulged and sweat trickled down their bodies. Leaning there against the wall a little, she didn't look particularly disturbed that she wasn't doing anything, while the others were straining themselves in order to compete. In fact, watching seemed to be the only thing she was doing -- still dressed in her red silk-slick dress, she hardly looked like she was ready to do any weight lifting, ignoring the fact that she looked positively dainty, and the thought of her delicate fingers curled around the weight bar laughable. Every so often she would shift there against the wall, tilting her head to the side as she watched the others compete, smiling in that mischievous way that she always did, that way that gave the impression she was up to no good... or if not, at least mad as a hatter. Every so often she would give a soft, bell-like laugh as someone dropped the weight prematurely, offering a good-natured smile when they gave her a hurt or angry look. It was nothing personal -- being named after the goddess of discord, it should have been understandable.
It was only after a good few minutes that someone finally approached her, offering the bench that they had been using for her use so that she might enter the competition that she looked up, giving them a droll look. Laughing a little, as if he had told a great joke, the heiress of War rested a hand on his shoulder before pushing off the wall, swaying her hips as she moved towards the bench, giving it the lightest push of her finger to send it crashing to the ground. "How about I watch you pick it up instead, honey?" she replied sweetly, making a point to titter a little to herself as the boil bent over.
It seemed her reasoning for being there was quickly becoming clear.

As Kallos was passing by Sleuth's gym again, he noticed that she was apparently hosting a weight lifting competition. Curious, the little haunt poked his head inside and watched for a moment.
The haunt debated trying, knowing that he was most likely going to completely fail if he did trying. In any case, the haunt found himself looking over the weights, trying to find one he might actually be able to lift.
Finally, he settled for one, a smallish weight that he might, mightttt just be able to lift. The weakling of a ghost braced himself, and then pulled up on the weight. It actually lifted, enough that Kallos managed to get it to the required height for the competition before dropping it back down.
After that, he just stared at the weight for a moment, wondering just how he'd done it. Seemed he wasn't as completely weak as he'd thought he was.

Sebastian looked at the rope he was given. Honestly he was just coming back to the gym to check up on the seahorsies (making sure Sleuth was taking good care of them), when a grinning Sleuth shoved a rope in his face and said go jump.
Now you may not know this, and you could never tell by looking at him, but Sebastian was horrible at jumping rope. I know. Big surprise.
Yes, he could handle weights and treadmills and punching bags, but jumping over a rope? Way too much coordination required. Not to mention it was incredibly difficult to keep his head on when it was jostling around so much.
So instead of attempting and undoubtedly making a fool of himself, Seb simply handed the rope back to Sleuth and said, "Je suis desolay mais ... I will leave this one to mes amis." With a wink, he set off to the seahorse tank to do what he had set off to do. Check on the fishies, then book it to the next booth. He would at least stay to cheer on the participants though. It was the least he could do for declining Sleuth's request.

Christof glanced around at the students that had gathered at the Sleuth's tent with a look of curiosity. What was going on? Before he knew it, he was handed a rope. He had almost begun to obediently tie it into the appropriate noose-knot when he spotted others jumping their rope properly all around him.
Oh!
Well!
He quickly untied it and put each end in a hand, watching their movements carefully. It didn't look THAT hard...
He gave the rope an experimental flick, starting to will his uneven limbs to jump over it, but unfortunately it quickly became entangled on his heavy boots and hunch. With a strangled yelp in his throat, the Igor toppled over, properly tangled.
Apparently, he was not built for rope jumping.

Cain picked up the rope with an excited look; he'd done this before when he was younger. Jumping rope was easy!
He grasped the rope firmly between his hands, and sent it flying in an arch over him, leaping over it smoothly. Elated that he didn't trip, he continued onward, biting down his slaphappy grin in an effort to remain VRY SRS. This was a competition, after all!

Again the rope arched over him, and Cain braced himself, leaping across it with relative ease. Twice! Twice! Two whole jumps, and without tripping or getting something thrown at him!
This was easy.

Poke looked at the jump rope that was given to her with mild curiosity, Wondering if this was really all that was to it. They had to jump over the rope, and if they did it enough times they would win?
It sounded pretty simple to her.
Holding the rope in each hand, she stepped over it then flung it over her head as she begun to jump. She cleared the first one quite well, her tail keeping out of the way as well. Booyah!

She may have done well on the first jump, but the second jump is where she stuffed up. She had jumped, but neglected to lift her reptilian tail out of the way like she did on the first one. The rope tangled up in the appendage and causing her to trip, falling flat on her face with a nice thud
"Owww..." she stayed on the ground for a few moments feeling a little stunned, then sat up to rub her nose where it had hit the ground. Well, at least she hadn't tripped on the first go...

Oh, jump rope! This was something Simone hadn't really done since she was but a little ghoul. With a bit of a grin on her face, she took a handle in either hand and swung the rope up over her head. The jump roping she could remember from her scarelinghood was easy. Of course, that was before the only type of shoes she wore were high heels...And before her boobs came around...
'Here goes nothing...' She thought to herself as the rope passed her face. The demon went to jump the rope and promptly let the handles drop to the ground with a short embarrassed laugh, putting a hand over her chest. Push-up bras and low cut tops weren't meant for exercising. At least outside of her dorm room. Simone didn't want to get shown up by the sudden appearance of 'the twins' in public. She made a mental note that if she were to attempt any further jump roping, investing in a sports bra would be a high priority to look into.

Marosa took a jump rope and tried his turn at this, swinging the rope and jumping with ease. Hey, this was actually pretty easy! He grinned as he attempted to swing the rope over and over again, actually managing to not trip up 8 times. He decided to keep going, just to see how long he could hold out.

Managing to not trip was the tricky part; if his Sprite Darter had been here, she'd have urged him on just as he had urged her on, knowing that she would have rooted for him.
He kept going, but his mind had wandered too much; he wasn't paying attention and ended up tripping, just preventing himself from falling over and standing there, managing to untangle himself and set the jump rope back down.

Clearly Sleuth's gym was out to get him. Clearly.
No matter what Vero tried, be it on himself or his minipet, something went awry. Maybe it was because the spirit had pencil thin arms, or maybe luck just wasn't on his side. Either way, when he tried to jump rope, the thing got entangled in his cloak, and he fell over faster than a chopped tree.
Vero decided to just stay still on the ground. Maybe the shame would evaporate into the floor quicker.
