As long as you keep most of your gaze on Rufus! "Well I'm going to keep an eye on the Prince. He's always dodgy!"
Akito's head started throbbing even more at such a convoluted explanation, but he thought he understood. "So you need me to do... what? And could we do it tomorrow?" He thought he'd be fine after a good night's sleep, proper food and general rest, but he wouldn't be able to lift anything heavy for a few weeks at least.

Meme gave a soft sigh, he should have known better than to explain so much to him at once. "Rufus needs you to deliver a letter to the father of the fiance who was going to marry him." he said softly, wishing he knew the woman's name so he could have just simplified it with that. "It will only take you a few hours to get there and once you're done you'll join me and the Prince." he said with a small smile.

Knowing he'd have nightmares if he didn't ask, he called out to Kuro, "Kuro! What, in simple terms, is the whole plan of the Prince?"

Meme sighed, why couldn't Akito just say okay and move on? He always needed to make it just a little harder on himself.

Kuro walked in when he heard Akito's voice. "The Prince is going to write two letters, one will explain to the ex-bride's father that the road blockage beyond the next town will be cleared; the Prince wishes you to deliver this letter. A second letter will explain to the bride that we intend to help her wed the one she loves as soon as she tells us; I will be delivering that one. After we locate the right man we will help her wed him." he said softly, hoping Akito had enough energy to do this last task. "I promise, once this is over you can rest. I will take care of the stables until you are well."

♫♪♫♪♫ Akito Nakamura ♪♫♪♫♪ Akito blinked at him. It was unthinkable that Kuro should muck out the stables, yet there he was, offering to do so. He nodded. "Alright then. It sounds plausible - all I need to do is hold a letter. As to the other thing, thank you. My wrists should be better in a month or so, depending on how much I abuse them in the meantime." He blushed, but said it anyway: "I don't think you'll need to carry me." he smiled.

Meme was glad to hear Akito would help, he knew his friend must be very tired and this would stretch his energy beyond the limits. "Do you need help sitting up?" he asked softly.

Kuro nodded and averted his gaze before clearing his throat. "We should get you ready and dressed in warmer clothing, it's rather cold outside. I'll have the nurse get you some medicine that won't make you tired." with that he quickly busied himself, speaking with the nurse before going to the hall closet and grabbing a coat, hat, and a pair of gloves. He returned to the nurses' wing and placed the clothes at the end of Akito's bed.

 Rufus entered the room just in time to see Kuro hold up the coat. "Who's leaving at one in the morning?" he called, folding his arms and hiding a smile as he leant against the door post. He'd finally sent the other servants to bed, including the man who brought the letter from his fiance, and here they all were; getting ready as though to leave. The plan could wait until the morning, at least they'd all get some sleep.

Now that Rufus mentioned it, it wasn't that long ago that Meme woke up or had his dinner but it was indeed rather tough to figure out the time in the infirmary. Once he heard Kuro speak he nodded and gently laid Akito back on the bed before going to Rufus' side.

Kuro pulled out a pocket watch and was mildly surprised at how late it was. He sighed heavily, wanting his Prince's plan to be over swiftly, perhaps so much that it blinded him to the fact that they all needed sleep. He closed the pocket watch and nodded. "The Prince is right, we all need our sleep. Master Pear, I will make sure Akito is brought his nighttime medicine. You go on ahead." he said softly.

Rufus put his arm around Meme's shoulders lightly, nodding to Kuro and Akito when they said good night. Then he led Meme out of the room. "We'll get up early to finish the planning, but we need sleep first."
What he was saying was true, but he had no intention of trying to sleep; Meme would sleep in his own room so Rufus wouldn't disturb him.

Trapped. ♫♪♫♪♫ Akito Nakamura ♪♫♪♫♪ Akito gratefully got back into bed. "The sooner we sleep, the sooner we can be up and on the road." He groaned at the idea of waking up, but relished the fact that he'd get to sleep first.
"Night Meme, Your Highness."
Once they were gone, he smiled at Kuro. "I'm glad we'll get to know each other. I hope I can repay your kindness." He held out his hand for Kuro to shake, forgetting that it might hurt.

Meme smiled at the two of them before they left, enjoying the comfort of Rufus' arms. "Yes.....perhaps we should get some sleep." He didn't want to go to sleep, he was too anxious and nervous for what awaited them, he wondered if they could really pull it off. He gave a soft sigh when he saw his bedroom door and hung his head slightly. "Well.....good night...." he said a bit disappointingly as he opened the door.

Kuro watched the two walk away before turning his attention back to Akito. "You do not need to repay anything Akito. It's my duty to aid the Prince...but it is my first duty as a human to be humane to others." he said softly, tucking the boy in as the nurse placed his medication on the night stand next to the bed. Kuro saw Akito extend his hand, but instead of shaking it Kuro gently took his hand and kissed the top of it gently. Kuro's cheeks turned just the slightest shade of pink before he grabbed Akito's pills and the water that was set out. "Here, take these." he said softly, handing the pills and the glass over to the boy. "They'll help you sleep."

Rufus gently grabbed Meme's arm, before spinning him into his own body and holding on. He titled Meme's face up. "Uh-uh. I think I should teach you a lesson in how married persons should say 'good night', Meme." He smirked slightly as he bent his head and gave Meme the softest of kisses.
He didn't linger too long, pulling back with the smirk still in place. "Would you like to show me what you've just learnt, my Meme?"

Trapped. ♫♪♫♪♫ Akito Nakamura ♪♫♪♫♪ If anyone else, including Meme, had tucked him in, Akito would have protested that he was old enough to do it himself. 20 wasn't 'old', but it was old enough for some things. Still, he was distracted by the kiss to his hand. He blushed brighter than Kuro, thinking him sweet and gentlemanly.
"You'll have to watch it; I might think you like me." he teased, accepting the water and pills and shivering as their hands brushed... until the glass slipped from his fingers, his wrist going limp at the sudden weight in his hand. He froze, watching as the glass bounced once on the floor before shattering.
"I'm so sorry!"

Meme was caught by surprise as he was spun into Rufus' strong arms, blushing brightly at the kiss. He was so embarrassed to be kissed so gently, but by the time Rufus asked him to display what he learned, Meme wasn't so embarrassed. He stood up on his toes and placed his lips against Rufus' gently once more for a short period of time. "Will.....you come to bed...with me?" he asked softly.

Kuro tried to reach for the glass but it was too late, he wasn't angry with the boy however. "Don't be sorry, it was an accident." he said softly, standing up and grabbing a towel to place over it so as to mop up the water and pick the glass up at the same time. But for now the towel just covered the mess so Kuro could grab another glass of water. Once he returned he placed the glass gently against Akito's lips after the boy popped the pills in his mouth. After Akito swallowed the pills, Kuro cleaned up the mess and gave the towell filled with broken glass to the nurse who quickly disposed of it. "You must rest now." He said softly.

Rufus wanted Meme to get some sleep, but he couldn't refuse such a question when it was asked so cutely. He took Meme's hand and bowed over it. "I would be honored to." He kissed Meme's hand. "Your choice: would you like to sleep in your bed, or mine?"

"Your bed...if you don't mind.....it's bigger than mine." he said softly, staying close to Rufus' chest and smiling contently. Once Rufus lead him into his bedroom, Meme wasted no time in hopping into bed, he could care less about whether he was wearing daytime clothes from last night or not.

Kuro noticed Akito's lack of eye contact, the poor boy was still weak. He wanted to lean down and give him a small kiss on his forehead but he thought that may be going a bit too far. Kuro brushed Akito's hair on his forehead and gave a heavy sigh as he forced himself to stand up. "I'll...come check on you in a few hours....to make sure you're okay." he said before leaving the nurses wing.

Rufus chuckled as his husband dived into bed. "We're going to have to interview valets carefully for you; they hate that sort of thing." He briefly wondered where his was, but realised the man was probably dealing with personal matters - not only did he have a family, but he likely had to sort out Rufus' wedding clothes as well!
He changed, hiding behind the door of the closet as he did so. Meme had seen him naked, but this seemed different. Once ready he got into bed beside Meme and kissed his cheek before blowing out the candle.

His eyelids dropped suddenly, the drug-induced sleep taking away his thoughts for now.
