Merope twirled the scoop between his thumb and index finger, his still whole and fleshy eye narrowing as he considered his options. One fish, two fish, three -- wait. His green eyes moved from the fish to stare at the scoop. Was it... made out of paper? He froze, stopping the idle twirling. What if he broke it? He wouldn’t be able to play!

“Allright,” he said slowly, taking a deep breath. “I’ve got this. I got this.” With one last twirl, Merope slid the poi into the water, moving under a fish. Yes! It wasn’t as hard as he thought it was. Now...

He carefully licked what lips he had left, tongue flickering over his exposed teeth. Right! Now all he had to do was move it over to the bowl...

Some noise behind the booth caught his attention. With curiousity getting the better of him, Merope padded over towards Ember’s side of the booth to check it out. His hand was nearly inside the box before Ember interrupted, earning a sheepish grin from the boil. “Oh, haha. Really? My mistake. Let me see...” He dug into his pockets, searching until he pulled out one. This was handed over to the Trick or Treater, who in turn told him the rules.

Reaching into a hole sounded easy enough. Eels weren’t too bad, either. He had been zapped by them more than once -- it was the big ones that were troublesome. The corner of his mouth that still could frowned at the memory. There was this one eel that managed to tear out a good chunk of him before he could even try to shake off the muscle paralysis...

“But these are little ones,” he told himself. “These won’t be too bad of a zap. I think.” He looked at the box again with apprehension. The eels inside probably weren’t the kind he was used to. What if they were completely different? A foreign breed, one more dangerous than the ones that lurked near the territory he lived his unlife in.

Just thinking about it wasn’t going to help. He took the offered blindfold and carefully tied it around himself, reaching forward to flail and tap blindly for the box. It wasn’t until a hand grabbed him and guided him to the box’s edge that he found it. Now to use his fingers to find a hole and reach in...

Break watched them silently, his chin resting on his wrist, as more students tried their luck with the goldfish. All of which managed to scoop one at some point. He was seriously going to have to buy more goldfish at this rate. Or rig the game somehow...

Whatever worked!

"Rations?" He questioned, handing both Riley and Levi their bagged goldfish; slightly disturbed. She wasn't planning on eating it was she?

Though before he could say anything more, another student appeared and started asking questions. Luckily all Break had to do to answer him was nod. Easy enough. Though he was very tempted to ask what the heck was up with that offensively bright shirt and... whoa wait! Was it... IT WAS! It was sparkling! Someone must have suckered the poor kid into wearing it.

"So I see." He grumbled, still eying the shirt, as he bagged the latest goldfish and handed it to Merope; just before he disappeared behind the booth to where Ember was.

Aislin tugged Thev around to the front, obviously able to breath a bit easier now that they weren't in the Danger Zone. She pointed out the game in front of them. "This is what I thought you wanted to do. I got something from here before! Cute little fishies in bags!"

She grabbed a scoop, leaning over the water and looking for a prospective fish. Covertly she glanced over towards the demon, speaking again under her breath. "So... did you get one? From. You know, back there?"

She dunked her scoop into the water, hoping to catch a little swimmer.

Of course... she failed. The fish swam away and her poi broke.

Bix approached in his yeti-golem and eyed those trying the various games. Everything looked a little strange and many of the students were just too odd for him to properly approach. Most of them seemed to be doing a game where they carried fish with a bowl. With his current form he wasn't very confident in his coordination so he chose the game that looked simplest.

He looked at his broad, white furred hand. Would pain be dulled in this body? There was like a 1/3 chance he got zapped. He was curious but confident that one of Dr. H's creations could take it. On the island they took quite a beating...

He randomly picked up a hole. ZAAAP!

"AHHH!" At least his scream of pain was high pitched and feminine!

He heard a sudden sound of someone screaming in pain and it caused Jude to glance over toward the source. His brow furrowed a bit and an ear flicked, "Careful, seems like you hit a livewire." He said to the wounded 'Yeti'. For the most part he felt it was best to just pretend everyone was a stranger to him unless somehow otherwise noted.

Jude slid forth the last seed that was given to him and decided to try to catch a fish one more time before he would just call it at an end. Taking the poi once more he concentrated on getting that damn fish.

Break had been watching some of these students. A lot of them seemed kind of... odd. But then again, in Halloween, there wasn't really any normal to begin with and what mattered most right now, was they all mostly sucked at goldfish scooping! Which meant less of a cost for him!

Though one in particular succeeded, he realized. An Inugami...? Well, at least it was only one he was handing out this time. He thought, trying to look on the bright side, as he bagged and handed Jude his prize.

OH JACK, OH JACK. HE GOT A FISH. Wait...now what? Looking around for the bowl he remembered to put it in. However, as he found it- looking back at his net, the fish had fallen back in the water, the net broken.

Earwings fell back as he sighed. Well, he just had to try again.
