 Show Me How To Lie....
Nodding in the correct places, he uses her long speech to eat. He didn't need to speak, and was able to eat quite a bit while she spoke about her siblings. "Would it bother you if he liked boys?" he asks, curious to know if he was unusual with his reaction. When Cam had first told him that he was interested in boys, Adney had been surprised at first, but eventually shrugged it off. It didn't matter to him who his brother dated, so long as it wasn't a repeat of his slutty ex-girlfriend, and they were good to him. He was a tad surprised at their names, which could easily go either way, though most people had preconceived notions about the names anyway; he'd never known an Ashley, but he had had a friend named Tristan when he was younger.

Sky became quiet as she thought about what to say. She needed the right words because she didn't want people to get angry at her. There were so many things that could be misunderstood. "Well Ashley and I are only a year apart in age and so we were each others playmates. If he said he liked girls I would be more surprised. No mater how much we fight my brother is still my brother." The girl answered. She loved her brother no matter what. "Isn't it the same for you?"

Obviously pleased with her answer, the redhead nods immediately. "It doesn't matter to me who my brother dates. So long as he's happy and they treat him well." he answers, picking up more noodles with his chopsticks. Maneuvering them carefully into his mouth, he chews and swallows before going back to digging around in his bowl. Another brightly colored vegetable appeared clenched between his chopsticks for only a moment before dropping back into the soup. Frowning, Adney begins to poke around again, only to drop it once more. Stabbing one chopstick into his bowl, it returns to sight with the vegetable skewered at the end. Looking pleased, he moves the vegetable to his mouth and tears it off with his teeth.

Sky smiled at Adney's answer. They both could agree that if anyone hurt their brothers that they would have to do some beating. They seemed to have a bit of a street punk in them. "I agree. I would have to do some ball busting if anyone hurt by brother or my sister. It goes double for Tristan because she has two older siblings." The girl commented before leaning it and eating some noodles.

Chewing contentedly on his vegetable, the redhead nods in agreement. "As does Cam." he adds, keeping the spirit's name out of it. Sky didn't seem to understand their relationship, but he supposed it didn't matter; she would figure it out eventually, or not at all. Poking around in his bowl, he remains quiet long enough to chew and swallow a mouth full of noodles. "Next question. Do you have any hobbies?" he asks, searching his meal for more pretty colored vegetables. He figured one of his own hobbies would be obvious, considering the subjects he taught.

Sky blushed. He wanted to know about her hobbies. They were probably pretty weird for a girl. "Well I sword fight and finding meanings in dreams is a hobby of mine. I enjoy playing with legos, playing sports and camping." She answered trying to think about what she did for fun. "What about you?" She added wanting to learn what Adney like to do.

Slightly confused at her blush, the redhead seemed unperturbed by her fairly manly hobbies. At the mention of legos, a grin breaks across his face. "I used to love legos when I was a kid. Can't say I'm much for camping, though. I spent way too much of my life camping." he didn't proceed on the subject of camping, instead shifting to his own hobbies. What did he like to do? "I used to like to brawl, but since it would be unbecoming of a teacher, I haven't in quite some time." sounding almost disappointed, he raised his glass of water to his lips to take a drink as he considered his other hobbies. "But I like to read. Plays, mostly, but occasionally I'll pick up a fantasy and laugh at how far off people are." there was the occasional accurate one, but these were far less entertaining. "I like to practice my aim, with targets of course, just so I don't get rusty. And recently, I've picked up knife juggling." he flashed another grin, holding up his hands to show her. They were covered with thin white scars, most of which from his new hobby; there were Iron Man bandaids around two of his fingers and his left thumb. "I'm getting much better."

Sky notice the cuts on his hands and pulled Adney's hands closer to her as she looked at them. "Please be careful with yourself. Next thing you know you'll lose a finger. I bet I have a potion in my dorm that will help you with healing. You can rub a little over your hands before you go to bed each night until the wound has healed." Sky told him brushing her long fingers gently across his cuts.

Taken by surprise as she took his hands, he blushed; quickly shaking his head to clear the expression away, he smiles in a cocky manner. "Me? Lose a finger? Unlikely." he sounded confident, as if the mere thought of such an injury was worth scoffing at. Which, to him, it was; he figured if he was going to lose a finger, he would have lost back in his days of more dangerous living. "The knives I practice with aren't so sharp." he could probably get worse cuts dicing vegetables, if he didn't have one of those fancy slappy choppy things. Not that he had ever cut himself using knives before the juggling, but he supposed it was possible. "Besides, I've got cool band aids."

Sky looked up at Adney. "Stupid. A knife is a knife. No matter how you look at it. Butter knifes can still cut you up." Sky scolded. It was just the young woman's way of showing people she cared about them. "No one wants a person who is scared up." The young woman put a hand right above her breast. "Even a beaten up girl can't find a husband."

Raising an eyebrow at her scolding, he hadn't been scolded in a long time, he waited patiently for her to finish. "They're just tiny scars, nowhere near the worst ones I have. They're hidden easily enough." he smirks, as if feeling quite clever. "You're only the second person to see them, and that's only because I decided to show them to you." it was quite easy for him to hide things from sight for one who could make people see whatever he wished them to see. "And I'm sure that's not true. I've met plenty of guys who have a thing for scars. Personally, I find them to be evidence of experience." while he wasn't attracted by scars, he didn't mind them.

Sky pulled away a little. Adney didn't seemed to understand what scars did to a person. Most guys didn't have a thing for scars and there was so many failed marriages out there that she didn't know what to think. "Some people may like them, but when they see a scar on a girls chest they laugh at her and scorn her for her own stupidity. Then leave for another more perfect girl."

Sensing something far deeper in her tone, he raised an eyebrow. "Then it seems you've surrounded yourself with very shallow people." he reached up, pulling the collar of his t-shirt to the side to reveal is collar bone. "But if you want to talk about stupidity and scars, we should start here." his skin shimmered a moment, the glamour dropping from around it. A jagged circle appeared, very clearly left behind by a high caliber bullet. "This is from bumping into the wrong guy and not apologizing. It was worth it to keep my pride intact." he leaned back in his chair, releasing his shirt collar and crossing his arms. He wasn't ashamed of his scars, and he didn't think anyone else should be either. "No one is perfect, and anyone who lets a silly scar get in the way of things is shallow and worthless." his tone was absolute, and it was easy to see that he wasn't budging on this matter.

For once Sky loosen her fist to reveal on of her own. It was across her left pointer finger. It was straight suggesting that it was a knife over something a little more flexible. It was easy to tell that she had many more. This time she covered her chest with her left arm. "I don't think there is anyone who wants to see scars on a girls body when they make love. It should always be the girl who admires a man's scars. At least that is what tradition says." It was clear that there was a scar on her left chest. It was just where it was was the question.

"Anyone who pays attention to scars during such activities is a strange man indeed." especially when there were so many other things to pay attention to, but he wouldn't say that aloud. At the mention of tradition, he smirks. "Tradition? What about this school is traditional at all?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "The principle is a wizard. I teach a class about creating Illusions, only a small part of which involves mirrors and thin wires. There are vampires and werewolves and they aren't terrifying." well, not usually, anyway. He crossed his arms, brow still raised in question. "Besides which, who needs tradition? I've lived most of my life without it, so why pay attention to it now?"
