"Then listen again. I said this place trades metal objects for food. Coin is not allowed. As in no spending!" Brigs shouted.
((Seriously, I said it in the previous post too.))

{Gold is a type of metal. I'm assuming that you mean it only accepts steel or iron?}
"Then we've got nothing we can trade for it!" Dema headed on inside, motioning for Lucian to follow after her.

Lucian grabbed a handful of blueberries from Briggs before following after Dema into the tavern. He munched on them quietly, looking like an innocent little kid due to his height, appearance...and the berries themselves. If anything, this made it oh so much harder to peg Lucian for a decent player. By his clothing, it was still obvious that he came from a wealthy family - he hadn't exactly skimped on what he'd brought with him. He grinned as he sat down at a table where they appeared to be playing texas hold'em (I don't know the other name for it). The seat next to him was open, and he looked at Dema like a child waiting for his mother to sit down and play with him. It was a ploy they'd used before.

((Iron and steel. Gold and silver, any type of coinage is strictly forbidden.))
Brigs sighed and put a steel spear head on the counter. He heard a voice say, "Take what ever meal you wish." and then he decided on a rack of ribs. Meat was something he wasn't allowed to eat often.

{Ah.}
With a warm, motherly smile, Dema went over and sat beside Lucian. "I hope you don't mind if we join in." she said, pulling out a healthy-looking coin purse of her own - seeing that the others were betting gold coins as well. She seemed like a kind caretaker at best, one who didn't understand the seediness of gambling and how easilly a sweet and naive woman could be taken advantage of in such a situation.

Lucian smiled childishly as they were dealt in. He payed his own anty - just a gold coin, sitting there and staring across the table. In his mind, he was plotting how long he would sit and lose before bothering to start winning. His eyes looked around the table, examining each of the people sitting there with a childlike curiosity - this was one part he had fun playing.

Dema offered up a couple coins as well, sitting with excellent posture and a false obliviousness to her surroundings. She seemed lost in her own thoughts, but like Lucian, she was also sizing up the competition.

Looking down as Ez sat there it's like at times she read his mind which as close as she liked to be to him was he would have to admit rather creepy. "You imagined it" he lied reaching down and taking a few of the berries from her and eating them. They were not half bad he had to admit but like most he savored for something a little more bloody. Turning slightly the wind thru the town of prinn rustled blowing thru the street's as it pulled the scent's towards Kale for a moment passing him by tho as if it were simply a passing breeze.
"There" he said after a moment and started to walk towards the scent of meat. It didn't take long for him to find his way to the scent a quaint little stage coach style eatery. "Disgusting scenery tho the food smells rather well" he said simply walking towards it. "Come then Ez" he said simply snapping his fingers at her making more of a show that she was simply like a slave girl. Heading inside Kale went towards who ever he thought to be the owner of the establishment. "Excuse me how much for some of that food" Kale motioned towards the smoked chicken.

"Metal objects only. Steel and Iron are accepted, gold and silver are not," Came the male voice of the owner who was also the chef. He stood behind the counter, dressed in his pitch black hooded cloak.

Ez followed him without much a care to the snap of his fingers, shrugging as she wasn't aware of his lies. She continued to eat lightly as she followed whatever he was craving. Looking over the stand there was meat, and lots of it. She never had a taste for meat, and neither did her elf parent so she always assumed that was the reason. Listening to the man "Iron?" she questioned the man, giving a weird look to Kale. She felt around on her person for a moment wondering what she had on her pulling out a small chian, some shackles even, a small dagger. She wasn't sure where the dagger came from "I don't think I have steel.." she said, simply thinking what she had to offer and what she could probably buy in this town.

"Metal only that has to be the dum-" Kale stared before stopping and looking at the man thinking about it. Simply killing the man and taking the food he wanted would have been an easy way to go but that would have ruined his fun later down the line when he was trying to work with the battle royal. Thinking about it Kale tapped his foot a few times trying to figure out what he had that was metal. "Ahh that will work" he muttered putting his hands together for a moment before a white glow appeared between them as he pulled them apart a sword came into being between his hands. The design on it showed care in it's forging along with the craft on the hilt. "How's this" he asked laying it on the table infront of the man. It was left over from one of the hero's he had killed in his castle some fool who looked for his treasure.

"Since the lady has paided double, you may each take a meal suited to your liking." Then the metal objects were grabed by the owners hand, but that was the scary bit. His finger tips were the heads of forks and spoons.

Looking at Ez for a moment Kale picked the sword back up making it vanish the same way he had made it appear. "What ever" he muttered looking thru the food. "As I said before a smoked chicken" Kale said simply. He was hungry for meat and with something that had once been alive he was able to pull some essence off it along with eating it for sustenance. "And do make it snappy I need to be feed before the battle" Kale said looking to Ez as if waiting for her to tell the man what she wanted.

"Being foolish are we? I don't doubt you'll win the royal, but you might find it harder than you believe human." Then a wooden plate was hld out to Kale with a smoked chicken on it, properly cut up, with all the tiny bones removed without damaging the meat. The hand that held the plate was the opposite side of the hand that had grabbed the metal objects, but this hand was not human either. it was humanoid, but the fingers were made of silverware and the knuckles were chain links.

"I could only hope for it to be difficult" Kale said taking the food from him with a dark smirk. "It wouldn't be to fun simply crushing ants that have crawled up to the surface for a bit of sunlight only to find that the sun is actually just a magnifying glass in the hands of a evil child" Kale told him chuckling slightly as he had already had started eating at the chicken. "A good food tho a horrible idea currency even if you are not but an iron golem" The wizard said looking to Ez before looking around. "She will have anything that's not meat" he put it bluntly holding the food in one hand while he pointed to his follower.
