He wasn’t about to deny he hated Riley. What she listed was all correct and all things they both knew. He hated Riley. She hated him. He hated everything about her. She hated everything about him. This was his club. 1 + 1 = 2. By that logic, he should hate this club. He knew this too, and had even gone through the facts. He hated Riley and everything she touched, but a club had the allure of friends, and if there was one club he could work on, it was Fitness. Not until someone started one for bagpipes or tail braiding.
There was another advantage, one which Riley was demonstrating rather effectively at the moment. The crunch of the armor made him wince each time, tears twitching as she snapped the heavy plastic like a pencil and returned the modified piece back to the little ghoul who had been summoned to her. Makeshift customization due to upper body strength. One that, despite Calder’s excellence in cardio activities and endurance, did not excel in. Lifting things with your arms wasn’t as practiced with his kind as lifting things with your back, or putting with your legs. He had tone, yes, but he wasn’t ripped.
His eyes caught the healthy tone of Riley’s arm a moment under the artificial light and remembered the lake.
AWWW! MIND BLEACH!!!
Racing away from THAT memory, he glanced back up. “Wait? You’re going to screw up? That I would watch.” He hadn’t even though of the perk of just being a witness should Riley do something wrong or not so SUPER perfect.
"Why do you have a gun?"
Calder, dodging the issue.

Malodore ducked its head cheerfuly at Riley's playful headbutt. "You are doing marvelously, mia cara. All appears in good ord-"
And then there was Calder, and a gun, and RILEY AIMING A GUN AT CALDER OH JACK THEY WERE ALL GOING TO BE EXPELLED.
The plague doctor swiftly scurried to scoop up a set of armor, then moved back through the milling students. "Ah, a late arrival? He'll need armor, then. Buon giorno, Calder," it added, tossing the armor down right in front of the kelpie. The red cup bounced beautifully, shiningly, redly on the ground.
Hooray for awkward attempts at defusing tension!

Shehk's ears perked up at the 'woof' sound, her mouth stretching across her face, before she looked accusingly towards the source.
"s**t, son. Was that meant to offend me? If you're going to bark, bark properly." she said, her rump shaking anxiously as though the idea of transforming and chasing down the offender had crossed her mind (and likely been accidentally radared to Riley's mind) before she put the helmet on properly, making sure her face was covered before moving on to put the chestplate on properly, putting on her best brave face.
... ....
Even though nobody could SEE said brave face, however, she seemed so proud to be standing there, holding her paint gun in one hand, her tail starting to wag like nobody else's business.
The Pricolici was really excited by the idea of shooting things all of a sudden. She was almost... giddy

Altair didn't miss that Sammy was utterly ripped. He quirked an eyebrow behind the visor and glanced at her sidelong as her arm settled on his shoulders. He narrowed his eyes at her threats, his tail flicking, agitated, and her tone put him in a fighting mood. If not for the fact that he didn't hit girls and that he'd call the entire club down on his head apparently, he'd totally do it. Totally. But those were the facts. He kept his gun lowered, oofing as she clapped him on the back, whacking the air out of his lungs.
Lifting a hand to push up the visor, he flicked out his forked tongue, resting his gaze on the undead at his side and baring his teeth in a grin. "Another one that talks big, huh? If it's war you want, bring an army and pack a lunch, sweetheart," he tipped his helmet at her. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have some target practice to attend to~" the incubus smirked, winking and shutting the visor, lifting the gun as he moved off to pick a target.

Seeing how no one had answered him, Jericho safely assumed no one needed help. Well. There was Astra, but Riley took care of her so there was no issue there! With a shrug, he stepped outside, making his way towards the targets were the others were. It seemed like everyone was off to a good start, from what he could tell at least.
Since he was focusing his attention on the other club members, as well as his target, he wasn't too aware of the deal with Calder not too far off.
Raising the paintball gun, he fired off at the targets. He at least knew how to shoot the thing, but his aim wasn't all that great yet. The dragon really had only used the gun a couple times before after all. Of course, despite this, it seemed that he had ended up getting his darn thing jammed. Frowning, he inspected it, trying to figure out how to get it to function again.
After a bit of fidgeting, he did manage to do just that, but accidentally fired off a shot at someone nearby in the process.
"..Whoops."

Hearing the voice in her head, Astra walked over to riley to see what she wanted, and felt relieved when her shoulder Armour was removed. She wasn't able to see much, but she did hear a lot of cracking and voices as Riley was talking to a...cat? or was it a dog?. She wondered what she was doing until a knock on her helmet caused her to look up, and she was given back the chest guard, but at a much more suitable size.
"Thank you riley!" Astra couldn't have been more happier as she slipped on the now bearable Armour and adjusted the helmet so she could see a little better, now able to see who was around her. She did could see another student she did not know, but she could see that riley did know him. Although...by the looks of things, he didn't appear well liked. Not sure how to address the situation, the fairy looked up at calder and gave a awkward wave. "um...hello" She said, then went to pick up her gun but a nice big paintball went whizzing past her right side. "Ahh!" she stumbled, finding her feet again and looked around to see who had shot it.
...Well, she should have known.
"You stupid jerk!" she shouted at jericho. "Why are you trying to shoot me?!"

Calder's little agreement had Riley ready to throw him out of the building by his tail, if it were not for Malodore's precisely timed interruption. She looked down at the set of gear Malodore had plopped in front of him, and her hand flew up to press against Calder's chest, stopping him before he could reach down for it.
Hold on a moment. She seethed out, venom thick in her voice. This gear is for Fitness Club Members only. It's for our paintball game, not that it's any of your business. I'm surprised you don't know about it. Regardless, your name is neither on this sign up sheet, She tapped the butt of her gun against a piece of paper stuck on the wall right next to his head, nor is it on the sign-in sheet for today. Both required, neither complete. Unless, her hand lifted and she took a step forward. Too close.
Unless you're saying you want to join my club, and be under my tutelage. Is that why you're here, Calder? Are you trying to get under me?

Just as Bul was preparing to test out his rifle he felt a twinge of pain in his foot and yelped. "WHOLLY s**t-" he cried and as he jumped fired off his own gun as well into the group of students out in the practice area.
His tail whipped to the side as he tried to regain his footing and figure out what just happened. "Damn these things gotta kick!" he said wincing. It wouldn't be long before the stinging numbed out but the welts that they may walk out with would be longer lasting.

The fact that Sammy had had a little conversation with Altair didn't escape Siddie. It woke conflicting impulses in her. She wanted to go hang on Sammy's arm and coo at her for chasing the boil off, and she also wanted to be stiffly offended that Sammy apparently thought she couldn't take care of herself. Though, in fairness, she hadn't shown a particular knack for taking care of herself, and she had gotten all weepy on her ghoulfriend over things she really shouldn't be scared of recently.
Now she really, really wanted to shoot something. Good thing she had this nice gun.
First, though, she sidled over to Sammy and smiled at her. "It's okay," she said. "But thank you."

Most everyone was all equipped and ready to go, even though many seemed to refuse whatever those red things were. Rubbing his still bruising head under his own helmet, he figured he better wear two of those protection talisman just to be safe.
He was just about to wheel the cart into the closet and lock it again when he spotted something going on, Mistress displeased by something white and gre- oh, great. Please don't shoot Calder please don't shoot Calder- repeating the mantra, he dropped everything to lurch as quickly as he was able towards the Kelpie and Mindflayer.
Mistress, er he probably came to join me, please don't shoot him, he doesn't mean any harm I'm sure, please don't shoot him, and if you did he'd probably cry and it would be a huge ordeal and people are coming to stare and uh... he mentally babbled frantically as hard as he could. Perhaps he grabbed Calder's arm a bit too hard as he tried to pull them away from eachother.

Aksaja had been sort of dozing in his spot in the back of the room during the 'blah blah blah' part of the meeting, kind of half-noting important-seeming bits. Never come in the room alone, stuff was dangerous, paintball, armor, guns . . . WAIT. Guns? Armor? Perking up a bit, the lightning dragon suddenly seemed to notice that everyone was grabbing some gear and heading outside. For . . . target practice?
Not that actually sounded like fun. With a quick grin, he pushed himself up off the floor and quickly grabbed some armor and a helmet. He considered one of the bright red cups for a moment, then shook his head. No way, if those were erm. Used. He'd just bring one next time. Besides, they weren't shooting each other right now. Just the targets. Right?
Heading out the door then, he wandered over toward the group and caught sight of Riley looming over Calder. Oh . . . oh this should be good. Positioning himself a few feet away, Aksaja sort of propped the butt of his paintball gun on the ground and settled in to watch.

Jericho hadn't really thought he hit anything with that misfire, until he heard both Astra screaming at him and Bul shouting out in pain. Turning towards the fairy first, he sneered and snapped right back at her, "Wasn't trying to shoot you pipsqueak. If I was, you'd have a nice big paint splatter on your helmet right about now."
Hissing at the end of that, he turned towards Bul, noting the paint on the guy's foot/
"Sorry dude. My gun got jammed," he apologized in a considerably friendlier tone than the one he was using with Astra just now.

Sammy had no problems with picking fights, with Boils who hit Ghouls, she didn't like the idea of class status and things like that. She preffered to keep things as even on the playing field as possible. So if Altair swung she wouldn't miss a beat hitting him back. Thankfully it didn't come to that and so neither of them would be kicked out of the club, for today at least.
Smiling sickly sweet Sammy tsked at the boil. "Demon dorms 2nd floor, knock three times so I know to wear my good boots when I kick your a** clean down the hall."
Walking away she placed an arm around Siddie frowning ever slightly, "It's not just you, he keeps messing with Nuk and Shehk too." She leaned over smilingly softly, "And if he messes with you... well he's been warned?"

Bul turned to see the dragon had been the one that struck him and waved out of neutrality. "Sall good man!" he shouted back and lifted his gun back up to start aiming at various things but felt a little devious and actually turned back to Jericho and fired a shot at his foot before chuckling and stumbling away in attempt to make a bit of a run for it.

....pipsqueak?
He...just called her pipsqueak?!
Not only that, but right afterwards he went and apologized to someone else for almost hitting them. Astra was fumming, her little body shaking with anger at the insults. Not going to shoot her? What kind of lie was that?! And even after Riley just went and told them not to shoot others.
Well, she wasn't going to let this go. No way was she going to!
It took some effort to lift the gun up, but she did her best to do this quickly, and doing her best she tried to aim it near the targets and him..or at least near him (she didn't want riley to get mad at her...that would be even scarier then jericho.) Flicking the red switch off on the side, she pressed the trigger and was promptly thrown back into the ground by the force of the gun. As for what or whom she shot...she wasn't sure.
