Luka tensed a bit at Aeris's question. How did he answer that? He hasn't been to the Triet of this time, so he had no idea what it was like now. After all, the all out war between the demons of Zeal and the worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla haven't broken out yet. "It's....Uh...." He sighed at his failure, but let out a shout of surprise and jumped about a foot in the air when his communicator went on a beeping freenzy. This thing wasn't working a few minutes ago. He looked at the two and smiled sheepishly. "Er....Hang on, please." Opening the thing, he saw Stephen's face on it and he felt like crying tears of joy. Not only was his brother safe, but whenever Luka was at a loss, somehow Stephen was always there. "Seems like you weren't impaled by our swords or eaten by the sand. That's good."
"I see you weren't killed by monsters or bandits. Anyway, where are you? I'm in Triet." Luka looked at Stephen, falsely hurt by his words. "I'm on my way to Triet right now. I should be there in a bit, if we don't get stuck in a sandstorm. And, just so you know, I can handle myself even without my sword. That, and the scorpions aren't as big as they are in our time." Luka was shocked when the communicator shut down and sighed. It needed repairs. Knowing Stephen, he had fixed any damage done to his. Looking at the two, he smiled. "Okay, we can go now. My brother's in Triet, so I guess it's a good thing I fell in the desert."

Stephen hit his communicator when Luka's face disappeared. "Damn it. He better not be wasting our water. I'll kill him." He sat on the bed after feeling his clothes. They were still wet. Looking at the device, he turned it on and tried to access the special application that let them talk to the Yuan of their time. It wasn't working. "Nothing is going right today. Our landings were off and we were separated on top of that. Damn." He fell back on the bed and closed his eyes. He'd have to fix that problem, but he'd deal with it when Luka got to town.

Zaul - Asgard

Faung Mei
Ryu spoke in a somewhat irritated voice. "Hmph, its not wise to use a dragon as a meaning of transportaton."

He then turned to Krystal, and bowed. "Pleased to meet you"
After hearing Zauls question about being brought here, Ryu Pulled out his Katana and stared into it. It can't just be a coincidence...One is not just sent to a whole new world for no reason, I feel that I am here to aid in a war...If I can..." He then turned to Zaul and Krystal. "I would like to investigate further-" He was then interrupted by the new comer approaching, hearing the persons question, he replied: "I am fine, thank you for your concern. However...What about you? Its not often I see someone wrestling with a dragon, are you injured in any way?"

YvonneEstheimPristiSofia
She let out a relieved sigh, glad none of them were going to press charges or anything. Jordan looked at Krystal. "No problem. I don't know what I would do if Jethro had hurt any of you." It was the truth. What would she do if one of her precious dragons were killed. Looking at Zaul, she smiled, knowing he was having trouble with her gender. "Jordan. Jordan Sofia." She smiled, but jumped. She had forgotten about the other guy. But, she smiled confidently at his concern. "I'm fine. I've been fighting with the dragons since I was a little kid. They're my family, you know?"

Sirea Angelie
Krystal tapped her chin a bit when she heard Zaul talk about the comet. "So it wasn't too long ago then." She glanced over to Ryu when he mentioned that it wasn't wise to use dragons as a mode of transportation. "Riding dragons may be part of their culture." She said. Now that she thought about it, she wondered if the inhabitants in this world use ships and flying machines to travel around aside from riding on dragons. She noticed the ninja bowing to her and mentioning that he too would like to investigate on the matter as well. "The more help we could take, the better." She would then turn her attention to Jordan. "Don't worry about it. I would've attacked the dragon out of defense if I haven't known that it had an owner." She held her furry hand out to Jordan. "I'm Krystal."

Zaul raised a brow at the way Ryu responded, finding it...well, a bit odd. He scratched his head, asking, "What are ya, some kinda clairvoyant too? Or did somethin' like this happen to ya in th' past?" Then at Jordan, he narrowed his eye, still perplexed. The name worked for both genders, so that wasn't helping at all. Mentally shrugging it off, he did a slight bow. "Pleasure t'make yer 'quaintance, Jordan. I'm Zaul Oleander. I'm from th' Tethe'alla end, but. I got stuck here since that there comet appeared."

He was about to look to Krystal to address something she said, but it turned into an aside glance as he found another random thought entering his mind. He made another puzzled look, getting the strange feeling like someone was actively inserting these thoughts into his head. "Now there's an idea...it might soun' mighty crazy, but it's some kinda startin' point. How 'bout actually lookin' fer a shadow t' get caught in? I dunno, it's just...maybe, th' more we 'xamine those things, the more we can understand 'em?"

Rief - Palmacosta

Clara's intrigue was more apparent in the expression she was making now. "Is that so? Well, you seem very sincere and stable, so I highly doubt that you lack sanity. Still, I admit that does sound a little surprising to hear out of you. But given recent events, it seems like anything can happen..."

Rief nodded. "Th-thank you, ma'am. I-I can prove it too! You see, a big reason as to why I'm so lost is...I can't read anything around here. sweatdrop The writing system differs from that of my home world. Though, I'm surprised we can speak the same language. It makes me wonder if it's a universal standard." Here, he did a double-take, startled at himself. "Oh, I better catch myself before I go off on a tangent..." Now, he took out his map of Weyard and laid it upon her desk. "Anyway...th-this is where I'm from, a world called Weyard. You can see, in the names of locations, just how different the Weyardian Alphabet is."

Clara examined the map in astonishment. "Fascinating... Assuming this is a hoax, it would be a very elaborate one. But I shall take your word for it."

It hurt a little bit to Rief to hear that a part of her thinks that he just might be lying, but he understood. "I-If I may ask a small favor, Miss Clara?"

She looked up from the map for a moment to address him. "Yes?"

"I would be able to get around better if I understood the writing system of this world. Could you perhaps...write it out, both letters from A to Z and numbers from 0 to 9? Here, you could write it down on the back of my map."

Smiling warmly, Clara answered, "Certainly, Rief. Not a problem at all." She took a feather quill and ink bottle from a drawer and proceeded to take a couple of minutes to do so, writing one row for the letters and one for the numbers.

When she was done, Rief took out his own quill and wrote the Weyardian lettering and numbering beneath the rows she made. "There. Now I can memorize it to emblazon the associations in my mind. Thank you, Miss...er, Governor-General Clara." He smiled at her and did a slight bow of gratitude.

She returned his smile and nodded. "You're very welcome, Rief. What will you do now, try to find your way home? I regret to inform you that I wouldn't know how to tell you to go about that."

"It's alright, ma'am. After I get the hang of reading things around here, I could search for anything that may point me in the right direction. But I do have one more question... What are these 'recent events' you speak of? A shopkeeper I met here told me about worlds being split apart..."

Youmu Konpaku

"The things that cannot be cut by my Roukan-Blade, forged by youkai...
Are next to none!"

Youmu became curious; had Yukari left her somewhere which was going through something bad? What was this comet Genis told them about? Before she could ask, Genis said he was going to sleep. Youmu nodded and said, "I think I'll go to sleep too, I'm tired from being dropped in different places over, and over, and over again..." She looked around quickly, before turning to Miles and asking, "Umm... Where are the beds?" She gave an awkward laugh because she must have looked quite silly.

Apparently it was getting late."You too, Youmu? Good night." He smiled in a friendly manner at Youmu and Genis, but inside he was lamenting at his misfortune. Of all the times to suddenly be narcoleptic, it had to be at a time that would mess up his schedule- And possibly everyone else's. He adjusted his headband to keep his slightly rumpled hair out of his eyes.
The priest Miles answered Youmu's question. "The beds are just up those stairs. Feel free to use them for as long as you would like." He turned to Ashton. "Ashton, Creepy, and Weepy- Since you seem fully rested, I will answer your questions in a moment." When everyone was upstairs, he would explain to the best of his knowledge about elves, mana, and the worlds.

"Well, I think we covered everything." Chris said, looking to Soi Fon. She had put the small device in the pocket of her robes.
"We'll need to find clothing so we'll fit in when we use our Gigai. And I don't think the shopkeepers here will react favorably to us taking the clothes." She stated simply.
"We take 'em and they can see us, we get in trouble. They can't see us, and they think they're losing it. No real winner option here." Chris agreed, "We could ask Sheena to buy them for us." Soi Fon nodded, smiling.
"Using a new ally to do a job you can't. You're finally learning what it's like to be in this squad." She said, "Keep it up, I might not kill you when we get back to the Soul Society."

Triet Desert

Aeris blinked a bit when she noticed Luka had tensed a bit. "Is something wrong?" She asked. It was then she heard Luka's communicator beeping and watched Luka speak with his brother with it. Now why didn't she think of that sooner? She would've attempted to call Cloud, though she knew that he would be very worried about her. That and she had the thought that he would be upset with her for leaving the group the way she did.

After Luka was finished talking with his brother through the communicator, she gave a smile to him. "I'm glad to hear that you're brother is nearby."

Asgard

Hearing Zaul's suggestion had Krystal tap her chin in thought. "Hmm...That's not a bad idea." She said. "You say that a shadow is casted down into this world when that comet is visible in the sky, correct? Is there anyway we could somehow get to the comet itself?" She figured that if the comet was the source of casting shadows, then their best bet was to find some way to get to the comet itself. Either that or perhaps wait until a shadow is casted.

"The things that cannot be cut by my Roukan-Blade, forged by youkai..."

Youmu nodded and headed up the stairs and found the beds. Her ghost half followed after her, but a few feet behind. Youmu looked at the bed and didn't do anything else; she had no pajamas, nor a change of clothes. What was she to do. She sighed, took her swords off her back, leaned them next to her bed, and got in as she was.

Indeed she was tired, but not enough so that she instantly fell asleep. She closed her eyes and imagined back at Hakugyokoru and Gensokyo, what they must be doing about her disappearance. She wondered if Reimu would even care if a ghost-human girl went missing; she seemed to dislike her job of exterminating youkai and keeping the peace. She slowly drifted off to sleep. Her ghost half lay down on her legs, like a dog would, all curled up.

"Are next to none!"

He nodded and smiled. "Alright. No more dillydallying. Triet is not that far way. Onward!" He led the way to Triet, focused on the surroundings around them for danger, especially any demons. He didn't want to have to fight a demon without his brother or Flameberg. It was harder that way.

Ashton and Miles exchanged information, each learning something new. The dragons listened carefully. After about an hour, they would both try to get some sleep, Miles going to his quarters and Ashton staying at the table.
Ashton thought to himself. What had he gotten himself into? He had just been searching for some way to remove the dragons from his back, and now he was on another world. He doubted he'd find anything here. He didn't know whether to try to help the people of this world in some way or to seek a way home immediately. If he was summoned, didn't whoever summoned him notice that he was busy? It seemed that his bad luck had struck again. Then again, he had met three nice people. That wasn't unlucky.
In any case, he wouldn't be able to do much if his internal clock was off by several hours. He decided to attempt to get some sleep again, and eventually did so.

???

The basket was still at the gates of Triet. If baskets could think, it would probably be questioning its choice of location.
Whatever the reason may have been for its presence, it remained at the town entrance, standing in the desert wind.

Emil had just reached the outskirts of Asgard before the sun began to set. He sighed and looked around. The House of Salvation was still a bit far, but he had to get somewhere safe. He knew that night was mostly when all the chaos happened. "Guess I'll just have to pick up the pace." So, that's what he did. He didn't run, but he wasn't exactly walking, either. He made it to the House of Salvation as it got dark, walking in and looking at the priest. He smiled a bit. "It's late. It's a good thing you got here before it was...too late. There aren't many beds left, but you should settle in for the night." "I'll do that. Thank you, Father." He went upstairs and found an open bed and went to sleep.

"It IS an exciting opportunity to learn, isn't it?
I'm practically tingling with anticipation!"

❅☼❅☼❅☼❅☼❅☼❅☼❅☼❅☼❅☼❅

Location: Palmacosta
Company: Governor-General Clara
Current Mission: Learn where I am, and how to read this world's writing system.

Clara began to look concerned. "Oh, that's right, I needed to warn you about that. A couple of months ago, a strange, ominous comet hovered close to this world, called Aselia, by the way. When it appeared, the world regressed to its previous state of being split into two parts unable to access each other. Even up to now, scientists are trying to figure out why that happened.

But what you need to watch out for is when you can see a large, black circle in the sky. The comet shows up like that to cast a sizable shadow somewhere upon the land, and it cannot be predicted exactly where. Within that shadow, vicious creatures thrive. It's even more dangerous if one is cast at night, because the creatures can wander farther away from the shadow then."

Rief sweatdropped and nodded. "Th-thank you for informing me. My...that's terrible. And it sounds strikingly similar to something that happened back in my home world."

Clara looked intrigued again. "Oh, does it?"

"Yes. It was called the Grave Eclipse. There was a tower activated, with a mechanism that absorbed all sunlight and prevented it from touching land. That resulted in a vast shadow being cast over a major continent, causing something of a nightmarish perpetual night. Because, like what you say is happening here, creatures more vicious and dangerous from the norm appeared within that shadow. Fortunately, my friends and I were able to find another set of ruins with a machine that could put an end to the tower's effects. May the Elem---I mean...may your patron deity help you all."

Clara smiled warmly once more at the young man's words. "So apparently you're experienced in such a matter. Perhaps it's more than a coincidence that you've been brought here. Nonetheless, it is comforting to hear that things were resolved in your world. Our patron deity? That would be the Goddess Martel. Your compassion is much appreciated, Rief. Please do take care out there. You're welcome here in Palmacosta anytime."

Rief stood up, put away his things, then made a final parting bow. "Perhaps. That certainly is something to think about. Thank you for everything, Governor-General Clara. And may you and your people remain safe." With that, he made his way out of the City Hall.

Looking at the sky, he too noticed that night was about to fall. Feeling that perhaps it would be too dangerous to leave the city at this time, he decided to head for the library and gather some books for the sake of conditioning himself to be able to understand the writing system of Aselia. When he tried to check them out, he found out that Governor-General Clara issued an order all over town to accommodate him. He was able to borrow the books without trouble, as well as get a room with evening meal at the inn.

After his clothes were dry and he was dressed, Stephen put on his equipment and sheathed Vorpal Blade. He left their other things in the room and left the inn. He walked around the market area for a bit, observing the differences between the Triet of this time and the Triet of his own time. After that, he decided he'd go meet Luka and his companions, whoever they were, half way, and went to the entrance. "No gate or barricaded walls....Things really aren't as bad as they are in my time...." As he walked, he noticed a random basket just sitting there. It was peculiar, mainly because he could tell it had some sort of living aura to it. Was it one of the Mimic monsters that took the form of every day objects to fool people? Curious, he got closer to it and knelt, poking it to see what would happen.

[[ Out of Craziness: I don't really know what happens to awaken the Wonder Chef, but I assume Lloyd and the others touched the objects. And, I'm aware that he is in another team. I just didn't see anyone coming to inspect the random basket. ^^; ]]
