Basil smirked "dont worry i wont do much to it, it will only shoot a few bubbles, they'll never see whats comeing after that, becuase then it will rip the skin off there face so fast there will be blood stains on the buildings two blocks down." he laughed only jokeing "now dont get your panties in a bunch, im just kidding, well accept about the skin thing, that i could do....although it may knock you back a block or two aswell if i did that." he started walking back towards the direction of the station "well lets get back to the station, i already set my stuff up for it, i knew it wouldnt take long for you to cave." he looked back at her with a smirk.

Basil laughed "ofcoarse it is already set up, if it wernt then you would be able to put it off, and we cant have that can we, so hop to it, march, were going to look at it within the hour, no sidetracking." he looked to shai with a laugh "well i have to give her some way to blow off steam dont i...although maybe i should instal an off button with a remote while im at it, so she cant use it on me...oh i said that out loud didnt i." he was kidding, but this was to much fun picking on her, seeing as this would probably be the only chance he ever got, atleast if he wanted to live anyway.

Basil laughed "oh dont you worry, i'll make copies of the remot, i'll manage to hide one or two from you. im sure your boyfriend martialartist would love one, you know that one that came by for you yesterday." he looked to shai "isnt it fun to mess with her, i envy you for getting that oportunity all day long, it's just so easy, and she threatens people a lot, but i think thats her way of hideing how she really feels about...everything pretty much."

Basil laughed "more exercise for you with him than the rest i guess. if you know what i mean." he smirked "so these threats are real, we'll see about that, we'll see." he thought for a moment "well les see, i have spent a total of what, 12 minutes with you, i havent figured that part out yet, give it time, dont worry i will, i always do."

Basil laughed "oh my, did you just chuckle, thats a first, and so now your talking about my personal life, well lets see, if i wasnt working on a job, i was working on cybernetics, lots of rhino corps officers seem to have those, and if i wasnt doing that i was teaching the others, and beyond that, i was doing paper work or kicking hardys butt, you have to prove yourself to rhinos on regular intervals you know, or atleast command makes you, something about better partnership i dont know, i dont really care for harming my friend, so atleast here i dont have to do that." he sighed "saying it all out like that makes me wish i had just settled for the average scores and rankings."

Basil sighed "you ruined it shai, i had the perfect insult lined up for raya, you made me forget it, oh well, hey wait raya, didnt you abandon your car somewhere, you know after you nearly destroyed the street with your driveing."

Jared was about to pray for the Lord to kill himself for the seventh time when the noise outside suddenly increased. Grateful for a chance to get away from the paperwork, Jared practically leaped out of his chair for the window. Achak rolled her eyes, or appeared, as birds can't roll their eyes. She had been enjoying the sight of Jared immersed in paperwork. How was she going to get him back to the papers now?

Jared whistled softly, making the tone go high, then low, then high again. "Check this out, Achak. Bit of a ruckus down there."

As Achak hopped over to the window, the figures of a bulky man and a built woman dashed around the corner and down the street, yelling and pushing pedestrians to the sight. Jared chuckled. "Looks like our Chief's performing a right nice show. Doesn't have to be so dramatic about it, though." He turned his gaze over to the other figure and frowned. "Hey, it's that guy. The one from last night, ain't it? The insanely obnoxious one?"

Achak peered down at the massively built man with her beady yes. "Yes, I think so. Basil was his name."

Jared snorted. "Like I want to remember. For all I care, his name should be Bast*rd."

The swallow-tailed kite tottered on her feet, turning around to face him. "Don't you go saying that in front of his face. He could very well beat you to a pulp if he wanted. Though I can't say I like him very much, either."

Jared made a face and turned back to the window. "Wonder what they're doing. Should we help?" he suggested with a sly grin.

Achak pecked his hand, which was rested on the windowsill. "Oh no you don't. It's back to the papers with you!"

With a huge groan, he shuffled back to the piles of paperwork. In his mind, he prayed, "Oh Lord, I take my previous prayer back. Instead of killing me, would you mind giving me a new partner?"

After having the document signed by Jared, Achak picked it up with her beak and placed it in one of the ever-growing piles on his desk. After a while, she felt a little bad, even guilty, for making Jared do the paperwork, and especially making him start so early in the morning. So, she decided to help a little bit with the sorting. Now, she decided to take a little break for herself. Achak fluttered her wings a bit, propelling herself across the short distance between Jared's desk and the window. As she looked out, she caught sight of the same two figures from earlier that day. "It looks like Captain Raya and that Rhino Corps man is back."

Immediately sensing a chance to escape, Jared jumped up with a grin. "Well, how's about we go and greet them, like the polite, loyal, and uplifting policemen we are, eh?" He hustled out the door before Achak could chirp.

"And lazy. That boy would sure do anything to avoid this task," she added before flying out the door after him.

Jared leaped down the few flights of stairs to the main door and strode out to meet the two. He gave Raya and easygoing grin, and simply nodded to Basil. "Well, welcome back, Chief. Things have been alright over here, no worries. Though, I don't think it was the same on your end. Bustling down the street, pushing aside pedestrians, yelling like barbarians and brandishing your weapons?" He gave them a grin. "Care to tell me?"

Raya smirked when Jared ran up. She chuckled a bit, "I don't know about shouting like a barbarian, but Basil here was certainly acting like one after he lost the woman. And I didn't brandish not one weapon." She frowned at Basil, then pouted, "Yes... I suppose."

Shai laughed, "Oh, don't look so sad, Raya. It's not like he's chopping it off."
