Nyoko murred happily "I guess im still new to this, I dont mean to keep trying to ressasure you, then again I guess I dont even know im doing it. I will try and word what I say differently in in future sweetheart" he said as he placed his feet firmly on the ground and kissed his angels temple before turning back to the bench to carry on making breakfast. "And theres meant to be some kind of color code for angels wings?" He asked curiously "the angel at home has gold wings and I cant really say thats normal angel wing colors.
I don think you should dislike your wings that color, I think you should be glad their that color. I dont care what color they are and you shouldnt either, if it has something to do with your past then so be it but i dont think you should dwell on the fact that they are the wrong color or whatever but just embrass the fact that they are and like them. It might help you a little in accepting your past instead of just trying to forget it" he suggested to the angel as he started greasing the pan with a bit of butter.

"I don't mind, but I thought I should tell you in case you felt like you had to say those things to make me feel better." Val smiled and left Nyoko to work on breakfast when he really wanted to just hold him close. All day. "I don't know what gold, or any other color means, but generally the closer to white the more pure the angel tends to be. The darker the wings... the more evil. Or they're fallen angels - outcast from Heaven." He watched Nyoko's back for a moment then turned and looked for a stool to sit on. "Mine..." He sighed quietly and shrugged. "In the past, their dark color benefited me at night when I tried to blend in with the scenery. Now I don't look at them much except for upkeep. Feathers need to be groomed as much as hair if not more-so. I honestly don't think about it much, no more than I think about my haircolor."

"I know a fallen angel and believe me, his wing color is the same as when he was up in heaven. His name is Tala, he is is my uncle Ly's father and he said his wings are the same color as they were when up in heven. So Though what you say might be true I wouldnt believe that completely unless you know for certain." He said to the other as he placed the pan on the stove and aded the first bit of mixture to the pan. "If you want love, I will help you maintain them if you want, then you wont have to look at them so much" he offered the other as he flipped the pancake to cook on the other side.

Val blinked curiously at this bit of information about Ly's father the fallen angel. "That's very interesting..." He glanced back up at his wings, folding one down over his shoulder to look at it. The feathered appendage followed the curves of his clawed arm and lay confortably cradled as he teased the feather tips with the fingers of his other hand. After a few moments he said, "No, that's all right... I mean if you want you are welcome to, but I guess their color isn't such a big factor after all." He smiled gently and looked up, listening to the hiss of pancakes on the skillet. He folded his wings back comfortably and folded his hands, then asked, "Would you like me to set the table? What would you like to drink with breakfast?"

Nyoko smiled at the other and walked over and grabbed a plate and placed it on the bench and put the first pancake onto the plate and poured more mixture onto the skillet. "I want to help you, it might be fun" he said to the other as the pancake cooked "and im glad your finally starting to see that the color isnt a big factor. I dont see you as some bad guy, I see you as the angel I have grown to love wether your past is terrible or not.
I love you for who you are and always will so your wing color isnt a problem for me and im glad the color wont be a problem for you either" he said as he flipped the pancake over and let the other side cook "and sure you can help, there are plates in the cupboard behind you, there are glasses in the cupboard next to that and there is drink in the fridge. The knives and forks are in the draw by the sink and the pancake toppings are in the pantry and fridge" he said to the other as he put the pancake onto the plate and started cooking up the third. "Thank you sweetheart" he said happily.

With a grin Valentino nodded. "All right, I'll show you how to groom feathers - if you don't know already." The last he added with a questioning lilt, his head angling slightly to the side. If he knew angels (or even birds), perhaps he did know something about the upkeep of wings?
"Well... I don't think I'm a bad person... or at least really bad. But I can't really say I've spent my life spreading joy and happiness throughout the land." It may have been an ironic comment, but his voice was tinged with regret. "But those were different times, in a different place..." He shrugged, then looked back up at Nyoko. "Thank you for refusing to judge me based on looks. What I know now is that it's simply your nature to look deeper, but it means a great deal to me. If you had been around the shop much when I was you might notice I'm not exactly surrounded by others. My appearance generally disturbs people." He looked at his clawed hand and flexed the fingers. Well cared for, they hardly made a sound as they sliced through the air. "In isolation, it was easier to dwell on my problems and my past," he went on with a sigh, "even though my intention was to work past them.
As he spoke, he went through the indicated cupboards and drawer to obtain the dishes and utensils, then set them down at the table. After that he went back for the syrup and other condiments, and the drinks. "You're welcome, I'm happy to help. I like to stay busy when others are, otherwise it feels like I should be doing something."

Nyoko had almost finished cooking the pancakes, he had a couple more to go till he was done. "no, I dont know how to groom feathers as Aariel used to keep his groomed himself so I will be pleased to learn" he said to the other as he put the pancake that was cooking onto the plate. Nyoko added some moe mixture and turned around to face his angel and put the bowl on the bench and turned off the stove down low for a few minutes.
Nyoko walked over and stopped what the angel was doing for a few moments and wraped his arms around his angels waist and cuddled him "i am not only refusing to judge you on your looks but on your past as well." He said as he kissed his cheek "and yes, it is my nature to look deeper, i could never judge by the 'outside' and you especially gave me reason to look deeper which is another reason why I did.
Your welcome sweetheart" he said softly as he stroaked the angels hair "people judge you on what they physically see, many people are like that and it is terrible for them to be that way. People need to learn to look deeper then the physically apperence of a person instead of judging unfairly which hurts people and that is cruel yet I hate to say it, it is also human nature.
Sure there are some people, like me, who look deeper and past the outside to what they are like on the inside. To me you are a beautiful person on the inside and as an extra perk your beautiful on he outside as well, it is a shame noone else can see that about you." He said as he kissed the angels neck a little "and you wish to get past your problems yet you are living in isolation and that is more then likely you cant get past them.
If you are dwelling on the constantly then of couse your not going to get past them and being in isolation doesnt help matters either, if anything it makes matters worse. You have me in your life now so I will distract you from your past as much as you want me to and help you move on no matter what" he said as he pressed his lips agiesnt the angeslf for a few minutes before parting "and you can help me in the kitchen any time you wish" he said as he smiled gently and cuddled his angel tightly a little.

Valentino was not watching what Nyoko was doing as he set the table and was surprised when stopped by the bunny-cat. He responded in kind to Ny's hug with a smile and held him close. Running fingers through his hair, scratching gently behind his ears, it was both relaxing and almost healing, like when he pet his small cat Lucia at home. Only with Nyoko, he had someone who shared their words of love and youthful optimism for the future. Nyoko's sweet kiss was returned eagerly. "You're right... perhaps my approach was wrong. Isolating myself...it just seemed most appropriate for my affliction. Less selfish to immurse others in my own problems when they had their own to deal with." He sighed, but smiled again at Nyoko. "But just being with you is a welcome distraction," he smiled, "and when I'm holding you like this, or helping you in the kitchen it's difficult to feel sorry for myself."

Nyoko started to purr at the kiss and the fact that his boyfriends arms were wraped around him, he purred deeper still when his ears were scratched which made him cuddle into the angel moreso. "Thank you, I am happy to know that I am a welcoming destraction, I will be here to help you no matter what, I dont want you to go back to your old ways and I never want you to think your being selfish.
I have problems sure but I am also your boyfriend and I want to be able to help you no matter what, so talk to me about any problems you have and I will be here to help you alsways. I love you and I dont want to go back to your old ways so I will be pleased to be your distraction whenever you want, however I do want you to talk to me ok? I want to make sure your ok.
I dont want to see you upset or anything, I cant stand knowing your upset let along seeing it so please talk to me" he asked the angel as he nuzzled him a little. I am pleased you dont feel sorry for yourself either when your holding me, at least it shows that you and I will be able to get through you feeling sorry for yourself and thats a great thing. Maybe all you ever needed was someone to be there for you and care for you to help you.
Either way, you are now with me and I swear you have made me the happiest cat/rabbit on earth" he said as he kissed the angels soft lips once more gently before pulling himself reluctantly away from him. "I will always be here for you darling, no matter what" he promised the other while smiling at him for a few moments before walking back to the stove to finish breakfast.

Valentino smiled as Nyoko asked to talk about his problems rather than hide from them. Of course he knew he needed to face them, and Ny wanted to help. He nodded and sighed. "All right, but you must promise to let me help you with any of your problems. Though I can't really imagine what those could be, you seem perfect to me," he grinned, kissing Ny's nose. "I definitely don't feel sorry for myself when I'm holding you; I feel very good in fact. I'm not quite convinced I deserve this, nor you, but I'm not going to let you go for anything." He gladly returned Ny's kiss and only reluctantly let the bunny-cat go. "Okay, perhaps I should rephrase that," he smiled gently. Was Nyoko really that happy? He certainly seemed that way, so why feel guilty about it? He smiled and kissed him on the forehead before Nyoko went back to work on breakfast. Then the angel finished up at the table.

Nyoko murred happily at the kisses and giggled at the angel and finished up cooking the pancakes and turned off the stove, he picked up the plate and walked over to the table and placed the plate in the middle of it. "I promise to let you help me with my problems also, I admit I am not a huge fan of this since you have far more problems that go deeper then mine to worry about but I swear you can help me" he said to his angel smiling at him.
"Thank you for the compliment and I love holding you also, I just feel so safe and warm in your arms that I simply cant get enough of it" he said sitting down "and believe me sweetheart, you deserve this, your way overdue to having someone in your life who simple loves and adores you and doesnt care about your past. It is I who still feels like I dont deserve you, I love you and your company greatly and am thankful to know that I have the sweetest, most caring, beautiful boyfriend in the world yet still a part of me feels like I dont deserve this for some reason that I cant put my finger on."
He said to the angel as he took a couple of pancakes and put them on his plate and started adding toppings.

"I won't force you through your problems, Nyoko, but I would like to help you get through them any way I can," Val said quietly, finding his seat at the table as Ny set down the plate of pancakes. "Maybe we can talk about some of both of our problems during our upcoming camping trip," he added with a smile.
He flushed as Nyoko sat down. "I'm glad I can make you feel safe..." He frowned slightly. Nyoko was so young and innocent, it made Val feel tarnished by comparison. But Ny feeling like he did not deserve Valentino? "Perhaps...because you're so young...you don't feel like you have yet earned anything yet. If that's the case, I don't agree. You have a pure and gentle soul, and I doubt experience in life would change what you do and do not deserve."
He smiled serenely at Nyoko, waiting for him to finish filling his plate before putting pancakes on his own. When his were "polluted" to his taste, he began to cut them up, loving the feel of the steam wafting up into his face.

Nyoko had almost forgotten about that, he was so busy trying to impress the angel that he had almost forgotten about their camping trip "I would like that" he said to the other. "especially when it will be so romantic to talk and cuddle up to each other under the star lit sky" he said as he started adding toppings to the pancakes.
Nyoko smiled at the other as he added a bit of syrup to his pancakes "I guess your right, it wont change what I do and dont deserve. But I think thats only part of the reason, I think the other part might have something to do with me feeling like I have rushed into this relationship. I love you and there is no way I will ever break up with you now but it seems like that the second person I meet has become the one I love unconditionally.
Though I guess, in a way, it does tie in with what you said." Nyoko shook his head to clear it and put the syrup back on the table and took a bite "I guess im even less then a novice when it comes to relationships then I first thought if im thinking this." he said softly trailing off as he decided to add a bit of whipped cream to his pancakes before he took another bite.
Nyoko smiled at the angel and took another bite after he had added the cream and sighed. "and I could feel nothing but safe when im around you, I know you will take care of me and love me always and thats the main thing I love knowing when it comes to our relationship, I have a guy who I know I can always trust and rely on to protect me and to keep me safe" he said to the other before taking another bite.

Val smiled as he thought of the upcoming trip with Nyoko. He ate a few bites of pancake listening to Ny as he mulled over what it was that was bothering him. "Second person...?" he wondered aloud. "You know, if you are worried we're moving too fast, we could wait on the trip, or go with friends if you prefer. I don't want you to be uncomfortable."

"The first person i meet was a wolf named Hyde, he became my guitar teacher when I was thirteen years old. He and I, you could say, are friends. So you are really the only second person I have meet" he said to the other as he took another bite, swollowing and then looked at the angel and smiled, shaking his head "im not uncomfotable, I just need a little time to adjust thats all.
Besides, this is OUR time together, there isnt anyway in hell I am inviting others on this camping trip when I want to spend time alone with you. Thank you for your concern and suggestion but I want you all to myself with noone else around" he said smiling at the other "we are moving at the pace i WANT to be moving in so we arnt stopping now.
As I said, its just still hard for me to believe that im sitting across from the guy I am willing to share my life with, I just never thought I would find the perfect guy so soon in my life if ever. So as I said it will just take me time to adjust thats all, I swear I will always love you but I just need to get used to it thats all" he said to his angel as he ate some moe of his breakfast.
