Our peer age-group thingy is AWESOME! Old people suck, the young people are so much more accepting (probably because upwards of 70% of them have had same-sex feelings at some time or another, and more and more are willing to admit it). *hugs you all*

I had a bisexual friend and she was actually the first one I told, it was easy to tell her and because i was more confused than anything at the moment i just wanted to find out what was up. Then I told my best friend, who totally freaked out and told me to get help and kinda hurt me =/ I was sort of ashamed of the feelings I felt and tried to push them down but after a few weeks I knew I couldn't hide it. I just told all my friends and they were really accepting and cool with it.

My parents...they stole my journal when they thought i was doing drugs anddrinking (i'm streight edge >__>) And they were going to find out anyway so I told the that I was bi, although they said I had "misplaced admiration" and ended the conversation. --Sighh-- To this day when they ask me "are you gay?" when i try to defend gay rights and such, I hesitate and say no...So they really don't know. I'm really afraid to tell them because theyre VERY religious.

Homie The Clown
I've known for a while that I was gay. I was just denying it for a long time. About two months ago I finally began to accept it. I really want to come out and begin to tell people, but I'm nervous about it. My school isn't exactly what you'd call gay friendly and my parents are homophobes. So, I was just wondering, how did YOU come out and tell everyone? Maybe your stories can help me.

I'm practically in the same boat as you. When i started to come out fisrt... i only told the people who i could truly trust (My best m8s) but not my parents... Sure... i was nervous about it... but it gets it off my chest. ^_^ Hope this helped ya.

I went along this same sorta path

I haven't, it'll be ridiculously hard. This is kinda why I wish I was a girl, girls are so much more accepting and friendly, at least, from my point of view here.

Today I came to realize a few things and why I won't come out to any other family members.
We were having a big dinner and somehow the 13 years olds were talking and they said they thought it would be great to meet a bisexual. My godfather asked them what they said and said don't ever say that again.
I wanted to cry, I was sitting IN the room.

I haven't yet sweatdrop My mom nearly found out when my snooping cousin saw it on my myspace, but I made up and excuse...I don't plan to come out until I'm at least 18.

The only person who knows I'm bi is my best friend because she is too and next year I'm going to a new school where I don't know anybody so I still don't know how's it going to be there (if people are open-minded and such). sweatdrop

I guess when the right time comes I can tell it to my mother because she is open-minded and she once told me that she will always love me very much no matter what ^__^

But with my father it's a different story, along with my grandparents. They want me to be like the most perfect person in the world and they see me as they want me to be, not really as I am. And my father isn't very open to those things. He's really bad dealing with my feelings and all rolleyes

If I'm not like he wants me too he thinks I'm an inferior person. I guess that's why lately he is always saying bad things about me. Because I'm starting to show who I really am inside neutral

gyahh sorry for the longness of the post >__>
had to get it off my chest

I think going away to college...you can meet new people and just introduce yourself as well...yourself. Most of the people that I interact in my life now actually know I am bisexual. My family and church folk don't know. And I doubt that Id ever tell them.

But most of the time when Im "coming out" to someone who Ive known for a few months or just met, I just casually make a comment about some other guy and see their reaction to it. I live in Westwood and go to UCLA, so the people here are more liberal and open to homosexuality. When I check out other guys, I usually gauge their reaction to it. If theyre surprised then we talk about it. But for the most part, I will willingly tell people that I am bisexual and leave it at that.

Depends to who. With my friend, it went like this...

Me: Hey I've got something to tell you.
Him: What? You're gay?
Me: Yeah
Him: WTF? Really?

I'm not obviously gay and he was just kidding around. It took him few weeks to believe it.

And I just told my parents I was gay and I invited my BF home for supper.

The first person I ever told was my best friend, then it turned out that she was bisexual herself. I told my other friends awhile after and they're all very accepting..which I'm so grateful for. My best friend Krista(who is bisexual) always jokes around and says I was so obvious XD Maybe I just have 'lesbian' written on my forhead.

Anways..I guess I'm the one of the lucky onces to have an accepting mother. I didn't tell my mom about being a lesbian until I was 16..this was also the day after my ex-girlfriend and I broke up. Luckely, though, she was very accepting and so is the rest of my family. For awhile I wasn't so open about my sexuality, but I'm not going to hide, and I won't let people harass me because of my sexual orientation. Now I'm totally open about it and I don't care what people think. I've also found the most wonderful, gorgeous and amazing girl ever..(Renee the Rabid Squirrel)
