Seeing the map come out again, yII came over towards yVIII to take a look at it once more. He was about to try and memorize what he could, but yVII presented an alternative.
"Alright. Let's do this," he agreed. It was strange how he managed to remember this of all things, but it worked out.
"Rock, paper, Scissors!" he called out. On the final pound, he shot out with... scissors!
... Though he then realized that yVII was going at it as well belatedly.
"Oh, sorry. I thought I was competing for it," he said with a touch of embarrassment, "But... at least we both did the same thing?"

((Gamma Eleven Entering))
Eleven took a slow, even breath as he made his way back into base. He'd taken very little injury in the battle, but he was still exhausted. Sitting down where he'd woken this morning, he closed his eyes behind the gas mask, sighing. At least most everyone was alright. Glancing momentarily at whatever Eight was showing everyone, "Staying here..." He spoke up, quiet as always, "Might be the wisest idea, since we did just get out of that nasty fight...with...whatever that thing was."

8 sighed and gave the map one last fond look. Lighthouse west, cornfield east, beach south. She would have to remember now.
"It looks like you got it back after all," she said, her sad smile audible as she addressed Gamma 4. She turned back to 2 then and sighed.
"Pick your poison. What ever direction you go, we will head another. Does anyone have a dagger? We should leave a note for those still beyond the tent; tell them where to go, or to stay nearby."
She turned then to 11.
"Staying here? Good. When the others return, you should leave the tent and survive as well as you can. That's one group decided..."

'Interesting way of deciding.' One remarked, her amused tone of voice easily heard. It was about the lightest thing that she could remember happening since she'd woken in this damn tent, and it was a nice bloodless way of deciding.
'Okay, you have the map. So we're heading where?' she asked Eight this time, rolling up the bandages and stashing them away again.

Letting yVIII look over the map however long she needed to, yII soon took it and gave it a glance over while considering where they should head.
"I don't think leaving a note is a very good idea. It'll let our allies know, but if any enemies chance upon it, it'll give them insight for where we are as well," he pointed out, "As for staying or going... there are other teams out there aside from the blue squad. We'll be meeting with potential enemies wherever we are."
Looking at the three main other areas they would be able to access, he thought about the pros and cons for each of them.
"I think the lighthouse might be a good idea. We just might be able to get a better scope of the island if we can go up into it."

"We'll head to the beach, then?" 8 half-asked, turning to look for reactions among her team, "It's a wide open space, a much clearer playing field than a cornfield, especially if there is a team already there to learn it."
Still, her reason was not entirely sound, in her mind. An open field for them meant an open field for their enemies as well, and unless they found a structure to hide behind they may be in trouble. A cornfield would conceal them better, but it would also conceal their enemies.

'I think everyone might have the same idea about the Lighthouse though.' One pointed out. It was a good vantage point, but if everyone thought the same than it could be a massively bad place to go. Somewhere that others might not think as safe could be their best bet.
'An open space might like beach could be good, unless a team decides to hang out in the water, we could count at least one direction out, attack wise anyway.'

"That is true..." yII said while thinking about it a little more, "I do agree that the cornfield is rather risky, though. Not that any place is particularly safe at this point I think."
"But... if we're lucky, teams that had gone to the lighthouse will already have weakened one another by the time we get there," he added while looking at the map some more, "The lighthouse is the closest area to the beach anyway, so if needed we could try to flee to where you guys are."
A sense of anticipation could be felt now as he didn't know exactly how many people were out there. He really hoped he wasn't about to lead his group to their doom.
"But... I think that's decided then. May we live to see the end of this," he said grimly.

"I say the beach." 12 answered swiftly, no hesitation about it. "While I dislike the idea of putting our group into an open area where someone could attack us from a distance, I also say that it makes it possible for us to flee from there to any other area on the map if we absolutely have to in case we come under attack." She stood from her cot, every bone in her body seeming to creak, though nobody else would be able to hear it. She sadly still felt a little bit stiff. She needed to warm up her body.
None the less, however...
"More important than where we're all going, however, is that it seems to be under agreement that we will not be returning here for the sake of safety if we can help it. Which means we need to come to an agreement on where we'll meet up again in case we need to retreat from a bad situation."
12 folded her arms, thinking.
"Or rather than just a place to hide, perhaps we should all agree to, after a certain period of time, meet up again to make a status check on everybody in our squad. When we split up keeping contact will be less easy than just a holler, unfortunately."

"It'll be dark soon," 8 assumed, looking up at the sky, "Who ever is left the day after tomorrow, perhaps, should meet on the beach in the shadow of the lighthouse? That way neither of us have far to go, and the group in the town will only have to travel to us."
She realized that it was likely the shadow-team would be much smaller than the Gamma squad at the moment. This was not going to end well for all of them.

Nodding to both yXII and yVIII, yII grimaced from beneath the mask. For some reason, this talk had him feeling more serious about the whole thing. The sensation that they wouldn't be surviving was imminent.
"That sounds fair to me," he said to Eight, "Hopefully we don't lose track of the days while we're here."
Folding up the map, he tucked it away in the meantime.
"We better get going then, unless anyone has anything else to add to all of this?"

'Nothing. Other than good luck.' One said softly, moving to stand by Eight, and looking at those that would be heading off in another direction. She wondered who got their jollies from putting something like this together, their puppet master for want of a better name.

Gamma Seven managed to look over at Two just in time to see the other male holding out the 'scissors' symbol as well...and started to laugh. Now his victory was only sweeter with this little establishment, and he clapped his hand on Two's shoulders.
"Great minds think alike, man! S'like we're brothers or something." Seven chuckled out, gesturing another thumbs up to One who approved rather openly of his bloodless decision making. Yes ladies, he was and will always be this awesome.
"Lighthouse? That seems like a good idea. So...Myself, Two, Ten and Four are going to the lighthouse." He shouldered his bag again and adjusted his armour; ugh this stuff...so uncomfortable. So warm. Though, Eleven did have his attention.
"I...have to disagree with you, man. Staying here is well and good for the time being, but once all the teams are regrouped and once we can travel other places, the bases are going to be the first thing hit." He argued, fidgeting with the end of a glove with his index and middle finger. "Sitting duck if you stay here." A brief pause, and he shook his head.
"Just...don't stay here for too long, is all." Now turning to his leader - err, Two, he nodded. "Let's gt outta here!"

Chuckling lightly at yVII, Gamma Two felt a little more lighthearted. Maybe this expedition wouldn't be too bad. But with him at the lead, if anything happened, he would be the one responsible. The feeling felt vaguely familiar, but it wasn't really something he really enjoyed. Turning serious again, he looked around at the others and nodded to them.
"Yeah, let's go. And good luck guys," yII said to them before peeking out the tent. The fog had lifted a fair amount. It was still there, but it wasn't as thick as it was earlier. It didn't look like there were others lurking around at the moment.
Glancing back briefly towards the rest of his team, as well as the other Gamma team, he went off towards the road.
Something told him their journey through hell had only just begun.
yII exiting to traveling thread!
