Sky mad a shhh sound that was in a sarcastic context. "I don't think so. Why would some crusty guy do it? I think this guy is young and he has a few people that he hangs out and is stupid with. He probably has a best friend with a girlfriend and he's kind of jealous of this said best friend for having a girlfriend." She said thinking about it.

Show Me How To Lie....
Snorting in amusement, the teacher shrugs. "That's if he has any friends at all." he points out, knowing full well that he wasn't actually jealous of his best friend. If the redhead wanted a girlfriend so badly, he'd go out and find one; as it was, he didn't much care at this point. He was still sore after what had happened with his last one, and the situation that had caused his brother to come to the school hadn't helped at all. Leaning against the back of the booth, he munches thoughtfully on his last shrimp. Swallowing, he notes his plate is now empty. Leaving it be, he takes a long drink of soda before finally saying, "You know, I never thought I was that bad. Maybe I really am a boastful idiot." he grins, letting the truth out; he wonders briefly is this was direct enough for her to get the point.

Sky laughed. Before he started to talk about himself. Was he comparing himself to the illusions teacher. "No he has friends and he doesn't fathom that he is that way. He's probably the type of guy who would get tricked into going on a date with some girl that he has no interest in just to feed his hungry in not being alone." Sky put together.

Raising an eyebrow at her statement, the teacher shook his head in mild amusement. "Maybe he was simply hoping to help convince the girl to reach her full potential, and has instead spent his evening hoping to convince her." he offers, resting his elbows on the table. His fingers laced together, providing a spot for his chin to rest comfortably. "I hear the illusions teacher teaches a second subject as well. Theatre, or something." a small smirk remained on his features, however, as he tries to get his point across to his date.

"Convincing alright. Convincing her that they should go out some more because he thinks that she'll be what he needs to feel whole. I think he is really trying to find the one he really wants to be with and he doesn't understand what he's looking for. I think the fact that he's a drama teacher confirms that because he can only see the world of mirrors." She was hinting on some of what a sandman did best.

Show Me How To Lie....
Sighing lightly, the man would have banged his head against the table were they not in public; maybe even repeatedly. This girl was oblivious, to say the least. "Sky, do you know what I teach?" he asks, getting straight to the point. He knew now that dropping hints would be insufficient. Their hypothetical game had been amusing, but the girl was getting a little carried away. So many assumptions on something he had only 'heard'. He wasn't positive what the girl meant by a world of mirrors, but he had an idea. He didn't feel like he was missing a part of himself, but hearing it being pushed from this girl certainly wasn't helping.

Sky looked at Adney. "No. Why?" He asked as she looked at him. Maybe He was the a friend. It was easy to see that he wasn't the friend. Adney wasn't dating as far as she was aware, but he was commenting on things that she was saying.

Feeling the slightest bit better that she wasn't knowingly insulting him, the man's smirk broadened. "I'll give you a hint. I teach two subjects. One of them starts with a D." he still wasn't about to outright say it, that was less fun, but he was sincerely hoping she'd get it this time. He wasn't convinced, however, and after a moment's hesitation he added, "The other starts with an I." reaching to take another drink from his soda, he drains the glass before replacing it on the table.

Sky thought for a bit and went back to munching on her food. What started with I and D. The girl stopped and looked at Adney. "Well there is Demonology, Danish, and Drama while for I there is international studies, Italian, and illusions. But I think I know what you are." The girl reached into her pouch to grabbed some of her sand. her voice raised as she was talking about it because she wasn't happy.

Looking amused, the older man nods. "Yes, most likely." he agreed, hoping she really did know. "But you weren't too far off. I do have a best friend with a girlfriend. I can't really say I'm jealous. I do have some unique life experiences, but I can't see why anyone would want to know about scraping by on the streets." he remained amused, not looking made in the least. He raised an eyebrow as she pulled out sand, and he immediately leaned away from the table. "Now what do you plan to do with that?" he asked, watching her suspiciously now. He didn't quite like her tone of voice, and it made him slightly nervous; he had an idea what the sand did, and he certainly didn't like where this was going.

Sky thought about this. She wanted Adney to understand what she could do next time he ticked her off. "Well I'm a sandman. I'm going to blow my sleeping dust in your eyes and make you go to sleep before I enter your mind and scar you for life." She answered hoping he got it through his head.

Show Me How To Lie....
Frowning, the redhead managed to keep his features composed. "That wouldn't be very polite of you." he pointed out, a small flicker in his image appearing. He had moved, but there was no way that Sky would figure that out; his real self sat crouched on the top of the booth, ready to spring away at a moment's notice. A perfect image of himself, the one image he was absolutely best at, sat with his legs crossed where he had been moments before. There had been no shift, no hints at his movements except for a small flicker. Even if she knew the person before him was an image, she had no way of figuring out where he was; Sky was seeing what the redhead wanted her and the rest of the people present to see. "We were having such a nice conversation too." the image's lips moved in perfect time with his voice, which he threw quite well. "I was simply looking for an honest opinion. If you knew it was me, you might have been a bit less blunt. Besides which, I didn't technically lie."

Sky got up. She was going to leave. "Because you tricked a girl into going on a date with you. Just like the real you." She had mentioned that the illusions teacher would do that when they were talking about him. "I don't want to date a guy who isn't honest. Hell why did I go on this stupid date anyways. You aren't even interested in me."

Show Me How To Lie....
His eyes narrowed slightly at her attitude. "I didn't trick you into anything. I asked you on a date, and you said yes. There was no trickery." his tone was flat, no longer amused. "You know very little about me, Sky, and yet you act like an expert. Everything said was in a hypothetical manner, and everything you based off a few words I tossed your way. I never lied, for I never said anything definitive." he continued, not sounding angry nor upset; his voice was blank, giving no hint to anything. He paused a moment, hesitating only slightly before continuing. "And I never said I wasn't interested in you."

Sky turned back towards the table. "I think you don't understand me and I don't understand you. Didn't you trick me. I thought his was a study date, but to you it wasn't and you have to know that a sandman has to be careful and think ten steps ahead so they aren't caught in a dream. I can't believe you almost tricked me into going to college." She mumbled the last part.
