"Charlie's Charlie, and he means no harm although yes, he can be weird," Lizzy giggled, giving Amrita a pat on her head, "Besides, it seems like the two of you had fun at the party?" She had yet to talk to Amrita about that, but... It might have to wait till after this field trip the way things are going. That or the night before but that might be a little rushed, seeing how they'll have to wake up rather early to catch the boat.
"I will be! Seems like I'll be in trouble if I don't?" She raised an eye brow at the 'or else' as she chuckled, still patting Amrita happily, "And you take care of yourself too!"

Draven sat in his chair, listening to the announcements. The instructions seemed simple enough. No pets, no weapons, no tons and tons of luggage. He would have to decide what to pack when he returned to his room later.
For now, he scanned the boat assignment list. "Boat 5," he said to himself, committing it to memory. He didn't recognize any of the names on the list offhand. He was sure that would change once on the boat.
He sat back in his chair, listening to bits of conversations floating in the auditorium around him. Everyone seemed excited in one way or another. Tomorrow was likely to be interesting, that was for sure. Absentmindedly, Draven started to fold the paper in his hands, as he began to wonder about where they could possibly be going.

As small as she was, it had taken Yui several moments to see Jericho's arm waving at her. Carefully schooling her face into a pleasantly neutral [removed](as she didn't recognize a single face amongst those Jericho was talking with), she walked over and gave the dragon a slight bow.
"A pleasant day to you," she greeted in a soft voice as she made certain to stand as much out of the way of the others milling about as she could. "May I safely assume that you know the others who will be on the boat with us? I'm afraid that barring yourself and Maladore, I am completely unfamiliar with the names on my list."

For a moment, Jericho's eyes widened as he found out the reason why Lizzy was uneasy with being on the same boat with Calder. That kelpie had tried to drown her before? He frowned deeply at that thought. Thankfully, he didn't dwell too much on that as Yui had closed the gap between them.
"And to you too," he nodded before glancing at Amrita nearby. While he was being furious at the thought of Calder trying to kill one of his friends, he had sort of zoned out on anything else that was said.
"I know most of the others on our boat. Or I've at least seen them around. Amrita here is one of them," he grinned while placing a hand on the undead girl's shoulder.
"I hadn't really been able to spot any of the others yet."

Tabitha clutched her Gnome-handed list and scanned the names as carefully as she could. She was on boat number two and looking at all of the other names clumped with her's the skeletal slit of her mouth turned down ever so slightly. She didn't know anyone. Looking at the other lists she would have realized that she really didn't know anyone at all- But she didn't and so it went unnoticed. Wallowing in what was sure to be the oncoming misery of being alone on a giant boat with others she didn't know- Tabitha stroked the fur of the boafox she was wearing as, well, a boa and nuzzled her face against the soft paw it held up to her skull.
She couldn't even take Fussy! It was the one thing she'd mentioned on her form(it wasn't the only thing) and she knew she should be furious at the slight against her and her beloved cat, but all she could do was imagine a heart falling in her chest.
Not that she remembered what having a physical heart felt like.

He was worried and more than a little concerned. It was a mandatory trip meaning he wasn't going to be staying behind. At least, that's what he thought. If the teachers held up their hands and said otherwise, he wondered if he would feel relief or just feel left behind. Wondering, he breathed deep and tried to set an idea in mind. Calder would not drown anyone. He would sooner throw himself off the boat than take anyone with him, and he looked at the list again, wondering if there were more students who didn't know how to swim. Maybe he could suggest they all wear floaties at all times?
He frowned, knowing that wouldn't work.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone and wrote to the one person who had even bothered to help him with all of this. His one secret mistress.
He asked, needing just a little support. Okay, maybe a whole bunch.

Alcyone watched everybody interacting. There were a lot of students going on the field trip and so many that she didn't recognize. Though there were many familiar faces, they all seemed preoccupied so she didn't want to interrupt their conversations. She was still sitting in her seat in the auditorium when her wishing comet, Eridanus, came up to her and looked around curiously. "Hello Eri."
The wishing comet hopped up onto her lab and looked up at her curiously. He felt the strange atmosphere in the room but he just curled up on Alcie's lap looking up at her innocently hoping that he would get a scratch behind the ears.
She began musing to herself trying to figure out what was going on. There were a lot of boats, a lot of students. For some reason she wouldn't be surprised if there were going to be some battles in their future. "I wonder what's going to happen... If the boats just so happen to sink, at least I'll be set but I know some students that won't be so happy about it..."

Icky groaned as he stepped into the lecture hall, late to the party as usual. His red rimmed eyes were laced with sleep and his vision was still blurred; upon discovering the note covered in slime and held between what seemed to be a rotten, skinless gnome hand stuck under his door at the wrist, the boggart stumbled out of his dorm room and trailed a fair amount of garbage and snail slime through the monster dorm hallway before managing to get into area just as the chilly secretary stepped off the stage.
So he had, in effect, missed the orientation entirely. This made him frown despite the fact it allowed him to not have to listen to a condescending speech, not being quite awake yet putting him in an odd mood. Slinking over to the posted boat assignments, Icky's dark eyes scanned quickly for his name and landed upon it nestled nicely in Boat 7 with Bul and -- if memory served -- that one ghoul who bid on him before Sarias took the reigns. Not a bad line up, 2/9 was fine for him as it was better than 0 but, slowly, he noticed something odd.
Sarias was not on his boat.
Yellow teeth grinding against one another, he set to work on skimming the other boats for her name and found it just a few moments later in Boat 4 with the boil who licked her ghostly tonsils during Spin the Bottle.
Sarias - Boat 4
Icky - Boat 7
Seven and four were most definitely not the same number.
"Oi, what th'shet s'this?" he grumbled under his breath, sharp teeth acting as a filter to make his words even harder to decipher for anyone near enough to hear. In turn, Icky's eyes quickly flew to the crowd of students and scanned for a particularly fluffy head of blue hair. Unfortunately, there was none to be seen which either meant the banshee had come and gone or she hadn't arrived yet.
He did, however, spot the familiar red haired monster and decided to slink over to him, shoving his wooden claws in his pockets. He saw the snot monster Bul speaking with another boil that he didn't know but had a decidedly awesome claw and the gears in his mind were turning so slowly he didn't catch much of the conversation. However, after the realization that he would be lacking in ghoul interaction for the duration of this trip, or at least banshee interaction, the boggart had woken up considerably and was no longer a groggy mess. He was, instead, an annoyed mess.
"We got any decent ghouls on th'boat?" he snorted toward both Bul and Seiji without the courtesy of introductions to the Hungry Ghost. If Bul was associating with him -- and man that claw was awesome -- chances were he was a decent sort so Icky felt no need to be critical of him. Yet.

Bul grinned toothily at Icky once the boggart shuffled over and reached out to smack his arm in a friendly bro-manner. "Hey man. Lucked out, didn't we?" he said then shrugged. "Yanno, I'm not really sure I mean, I've met Tess before on Groanspring and I think I've chatted with her on campus before and she seems pretty cool. It's not like we've got some wicked succubus imp witch or anything but... I think our boat will end up being pretty rad." he said.
"Have you met Seiji yet? We talked over Groanspring before he got here and I helped him move in and stuff and we've just been buddies ever since," he said with a smile, turning to the side to introduce the boggart and the hungry ghost.

Sin felt her eyePhone vibrate, one had to wonder where Sin ever kept her phone considering her body hugging attire. She slid her hand along her side and then into the slit in her dress, the one that revealed long flawless legs. She grabbed her phone from where it was strapped against her thigh and frowned mildly at the text. It was poor Calder, she looked around hoping to spot him to offer him a reassuring smile instead of just words on a screen. She turned and looked at Rosc for a moment, he was the only one who knew about the drowning lessons and he wasn't telling anyone.
She quickly typed up a response:Text: From Sin You're going to be just fine, remember the lessons, just stay focused! I'm at the back of the auditorium right now, I'll find you in a little bit.
She slid her phone back against her thigh and looked back at Rosc. "A lot of people seem excited for the trip...I think their new or they forgot what a disaster ChristmasTown was. A lot can go wrong on a boat...but I'm trying not to think about that." She shook her head and sighed her fingers brushing his for a moment before she spotted Alcyone and raised a hand to wave at her.
"Alcie!" She smiled and then lowered her hand again and looked at Rosc uncertainly. Hmm...this was a bit awkward, if Alcie or Calder came over what was she supposed to say about Rosc? Was he her friend? Or was it more now? How exactly did he view their peculiar relationship?

Rosc sighed and his head dodged back slightly to avoid the flinging hair, slipping one of his hands from hers, but the other one remained. He shouldn't have brought it up.
"Seems to me like she needed it more than you did. You've got enough confidence for ten students." She really did. Even when she made mistakes, when she lost, she did her damnedest to hold her head up high.
He sat back a bit, pondering for a moment, as he scanned the rest of the students. The were milling about, talking in groups or pairs, no doubt discussing the upcoming trip. What was there to talk about, really? Boat dynamics, outfits, speculation on what this whole trip was really about, gossip. It all seemed boring, trivial.
His thoughts were interrupted when Sin's hand left his to retrieve her phone from a very... interesting place. He couldn't read what it said but he caught a look from her before she typed a response.
"Who was that?" he asked, one eyebrow raised slightly with the question. There were a few guesses he could make, but there was no reason to do so since he had asked.
He remembered what she had told him about the ChristmasTown incident, his mind going over the things he should pack. Things he wouldn't mind losing. For all he knew, this whole thing would be a disaster and everything he packed would end up at the bottom of whatever body of water they would be sailing on.
Before he could comment, she was waving a hand at her friend from the Demon party. He caught her uncertain look and shrugged a bit.
"As long as she doesn't stand behind me, I'll live," he said, missing the true reason behind Sin's uncertainty. He even considered standing so that Alcie could have his seat. He could stand behind Sin in that case, no trouble there.

Alcyone pat Eri on the head once more and then heard a familiar voice calling her name. Turning her head, the water demon saw Sin and an unfamiliar boil. Gently taking Eri off of her lap and setting him on the floor, she walked over to Sin and Rosc with a big smile on her face. "Hello Sin! Did you see that we're on the same boat?" She couldn't even express how relieved she was that Sin was on her boat. Turning to nod at Rosc, Alcie introduced herself, "And hello boil whose name I do not know. I'm Alcyone or Alcie for short." Holding out her hand, she was clearly very happy to meet new people.
Eri frowned as he felt Alcie lift him up and place him on the floor. Pouting slightly, the wishing comet trailed along behind Alcie and sat down next to her when she stopped in front of the two students.

"Yeah...I suppose you're right..." She slowly smiled and calmed a bit, the memory of the loss fading easily with the text, sight of Alcyone, and Rosc's hand.
"Oh that was...someone who needed a little reassurance, boat nerves you know? I guess some people just don't feel safe in the water...he'll be okay." She didn't want to name names after all they were in a crowded auditorium and no one needed to know she was helping Calder. He wanted it private, she wanted it private.
"I promise she won't attack..." Sin gave him a wry smile and then grinned and stood to give Alcyone a hug happy to see her best ghoul friend. "Oh Alcie I'm sooo glad we're on the same boat! Did you see Professor Winters is going to be our captain? She's the most elegant demon! I'm sure it's going to be a great trip!" Then she turned and laughed a little at Alcyone's introduction.
"Alcie this is Rosciel...Rosc for short, Rosc this is Alcie my best friend...we've uhh been through a lot together. Hopefully this will be a chance to just relax." She looked back at Alcyone and grinned, they HAD been through a lot together. Battle of the Bands had left them confident in one another, the trip to ChristmasTown had proven they had one another back's even in the worst situations, the Demon Party had proven they could throw their styles together and remain friends.

Arachne had drifted away from the crowd a bit, still scanning it, ever watchful for when Rosciel turned up, which he eventually did. Alwine stared at Mandy after that... explosion. She stared at her for such a long time that eventually the poor Reaper walked off to see another one of his friends. That snapped Alwine out of it and she called out a quick, "Sorry!!!" to him as he retreated. When she turned around, she sighed out a quick, "Dee..." Then she was quiet again, hugging onto the strange doll. Finally: "Dee, I'll be okay, really. I've flipped yetis and befriended elves and got fried by a gigantic monster. The only difference was that you were there for support..." Though no one could really tell, Alwine was staring at the ground.
