(( All I did in my post was skip them ahead to when they made camp that evening. She went off on her own a bit away from their camp alone and is performing a funeral rite that is indigenous to her people. Thats it. >< ))

Please just wait for me, Iren Loun 'Irene' Iren silenced herself for most, if not, the entire journey. She hardly knew these people though they seemed nice enough. Instead she continued in thought of what was to come now, 'I guess all the training of life is used' she thought to herself in silent excitement. Though she still remained fearful of the creatures she knew back to front and how to kill, yet had never seen one or even attempted an attack on a real one. 'It'll be different to anything before' she stated in her mind looking up, though everyone knew that even before receiving there Vestec.
They slowly reached their stop point at which point the sky was black apart from scattered spots of stars and the bright moon which lit their way. Her head moved sideways watching as Mayu slipped away, not sure if she was meant to be. She thought about following to make sure she was okay but Lux half looked as though he would follow and honestly, he'd know what to do if there was some sort of trouble. Instead she turned her attention to the lack of light and chilliness of the air. ''I guess we should build a fire for warmth'' She said out loud to Shalrien but she stared at the ground in front of her, bending to check if it was dry enough. Iren smiled slightly and stood again, ''I can get dry wood for it though I can't light fires quickly’’ she said in apology to Shalrien. Though she turned before her answer and headed into the shallow parts of the forest were the moon still touched the soil so she could see. (( Ooc :: I don't want this to die ; A ; I love the story line and i'm so sorry i took long to come back i kept remembering during the day when i had no change to come on and then forgot when i could~ I'll check up more regularly in the hope that we can revive it ; u ; ))
i promise i wont be long.

Shalrien and Shade Guard and unofficial guard of Squad 4
It was a couple hours of total silence while they traveled, but eventually it seemed to be determined it was time to stop for the night, though no one actually seemed to declare it. As Iren began to build a fire, she commented not being able to start it. With a light smile, Shalrien hopped off Shade and walked over. "I can light it with my magic. Little thing like that shouldn't take too much out of me." She told the girl.. ((Sorry it's short!))

++Squad 4 Guard: Lux of the White Rose++ The fire had been the aspect of Lux's distraction for the past few hours that were spent in silence. The ride beforehand had been equally uneventful. After a while Lady Mayu had left the area, a short while later a soft melody drifted with the wind, it was sad yet beautiful at the same time, He stood as Sharein and the new girl began to talk. HE followed the sound, it growing louder as he went, in a small clearing was Lady Mayu singing. it was beautiful, he ducked behind a tree and continued to listen.

Mayu Nikita Squad 4's Vestec Her back arched, an arm extending up and behind her before her body straightened out. She came to stand upon her two feet as she reached a high note, her hands reaching to the heaven's above. The crystals of her jewelry gleamed as bright as the moon, her eyes opening to look up. They were glowing, a spark of light shooting out and up, an explosion of notes jingling as her body relaxed. The sounds were all jumbled together, and yet they were sweet and pleasant.
Standing still, she kept her breathing as even as possible, her eyes closed once more. The light in her earrings and necklace faded with the notes, leaving only the quiet of the night. But it was done. Sweat glistened upon her skin as she took a deep breath in, her eyes opening as it blew out. "Rest easy my friend, and may the Gods hold you dear." She touched her palms together and bowed her head for a moment to complete the ceremony in its entirety, a content smile spreading across her features.
Yes, now she could rest easy as well. She removed her earrings and placed them back within her bag, pulling out her new clip to place within her hair. The flute also vanished within the folds of the bag until the next event in which she may need it. Glancing around, she hoped the others hadn't heard, not immediately seeing anything out of the ordinary. Bending down, she picked up her bag and cloak, slinging them over her arms while ignoring the ache in her muscles. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she started back to camp, a hand coming up to quickly wipe it away. She didn't want the others to see it lest they ask her why.
She slowed in her step as she noticed she could hear breathing besides her own in the area, falling still as she identified where it was coming from. It was human, she knew that. wait.... "Lux? Is that you?" She called softly, quickly hiding her expression of surprise and the slightest hint of fear. He probably heard, damn it! She took another breath to soothe her nerves, hoping she wouldn't bring down his mood anymore about their friend.

++Squad 4 Guard: Lux of the White Rose++ Lux had closed his eyes, listening to the soft melody, he inhaled sharply as the song reached it's climax. He felt a sort of energy flow through him as she sang. After a while longer the song had stopped, she said something and began to put away her things. He once again closed his eyes, a voice snapped him out of his trance, it was Lady Mayu. "Yes Lady Mayu, It is me. I was wandering past and I heard something and merely followed my ears. I am not formally schooled in Vestic Nia, but wasn't that a funeral rite? I too Prey that the Gods have found favor with our late comrade." He said, looking up at the stars, many people he'd met believed that the chosen dead became stars that shown bright. But Lux had never been very in touch with his religion, he paid his respects and Preyed to the Gods, that was enough for him. Tonight they were especially bright, the stars, and they lit up the sky. HE stared for a while. but quickly pulled himself back to reality. "Do you think Mal is up there, with the other stars? I can never be sure, religion never came easy for me, nor the rest of the Rose clan." He confessed. he rested his back on the nearest tree and slid down onto the ground, his eyes once again on the sky.

Mayu Nikita Squad 4's Vestec Mayu followed his voice and found him behind a nearby tree, tilting her head slightly as she watched him. Again, she was surprised, her eyes widening a little at his knowledge. Then again... it shouldn't be too surprising considering. Lowering her eyes, she nodded once in answer to his question, pulling her cloak around her shoulders to bar against the nights chill. "Aye, it was. It was the final piece to the rite. If Estal'halen is as welcoming as tales tell, then I don't doubt it." She smiled and looked to her guard with her dark eyes. Few others believed in the Gods she had found, but it was a comfort that if her people faded from memory, hopefully bits of their way of life wouldn't.
She walked over to him and leaned against another side of the tree, her eyes also cast skyward like him. Looking amongst those bright lights in the heavens, her smile softened as another tear rolled down her cheek. She was a quiet for a moment after listening to him, taking that moment for thought. Her people turned to her and a few others for guidance with such things, but she always worried they never believed her when she said she could feel their fallen comrades. "Yes Lux. I know he is. Look. See that one shinning more brightly than the rest? He's showing off to his new friends up there. And to us." She laughed a little and bit her lip against the tears that wanted to rise in her eyes. "I bet he's saying, 'Don't worry about me guys. Just kick some major Deathwalker butt for me!' Or something." Her hand lowered as she stared at that twinkling star, taking a deep breath that trembled ever so slightly. "He's probably showing his love in a way that he can." Her voice was softest now, realizing full well that Lux had known him far longer and better than she.
"It's sometimes difficult to believe in such things like religion. In all honesty, sometimes I let it drift from my mind. It's easier that way. But I'll keep certain things close no matter how hard it is because I know at some point, they'll offer comfort. Heh... As contradictory as that may seem." She turned her head so she could look at him, her smile having fallen to a smirk now, a hand resting in her lap while the other lay in the grass.

++Squad 4 Guard: Lux of the White Rose++ He looked back at her, she had a valid point, the Gods weren't the easiest beings to please. He watched as she moved to find a seat at the tree as well. She pointed out a star and he stared at it, it was brighter then the others, "That sounds like him to me, always the show-off,even to the last breath.hard to believe he's gone though, it seems like just yesterday we were at the silver guard recruiters. he ,of course, went to special training. He talked about Shalrein almost every night, Man did he have it bad." he said a bit of a smile forming on his lips. she spoke again and it was true, his religion almost never was the forefront of his thoughts. It usually took a back seat. His mind went back to his days as a trainee, there had been one cadet in his barracks that was ultra religious and held them to a strict prayer schedule. He chuckled a bit at the thought, more often then not his mind was more focused on the female cadets then prayers. but that had changed when one day a group of deathwalkers ambushed a squad of cadets outside town, he'd been the only one to escape, His first love had been in his squad that day. We, should probably get some rest, long journey ahead of us. We just need to continue living like he would want us to. he said, closing his eyes slightly, then opening them. wondering what tomorrow would bring.

Mayu Nikita Squad 4's Vestec Mayu chuckled as they reminisced about their friend, her Handler, and one who may as well have been her brother. Her smirk fell as she thought of how now she had lost two of them. She didn't dwell too much, and soon giggled as Shalrien was brought up. "I wonder what sort of things that the special training includes. Haha, but I'm not surprised he did. I've heard enough tales to imagine that." A very brief smile flickered across her lips, for she often wondered herself what love was like. After all, she was bound by law and oath to never fraternize with any of her team mates. Especially her handler. But if you breed within a group too much, wouldn't it weaken them in the end?
It seemed that they both had fallen into thought as they drew quiet, herself upon her people. She knew not what he thought of, nor did she wish to pry. It wasn't her place to. When her parents didn't return home when expected to, she prayed for their souls. When her brother left, she did the same. Whatever their fate, she knew it was up to the Gods, but she didn't dare hope that they were still alive. No one ever lived long in this business if one wanted to call it that. It always would take friends, family, and loves until the Deathwalkers were done. But... would they ever be done all considering?
She startled slightly when he spoke, snapping back to the present rather quickly. Smiling slightly, there was a sadness in it as she glanced over to him. "Yes... you are right. We have to do him proud." She murmured, pushing herself up from the ground. Her eyes drifted up to the stars once more, sighing heavily as she offered another prayer to the fallen. Turning to him, she offered a hand to help him up, calling up a small smile for him. "Besides, we can't have the others thinking that we're holding a forbidden trysts hm?" She teased, realizing it may not be the time but she felt that something, even as silly as that, had to be said. Joke's weren't necessarily her strong point she found.
