 She paints her fingers with a close precision
He starts to notice empty bottles of gin
And takes a moment to assess the sin
She's paid for
A lonely speaker in a conversation
Her words are spinning through his ears again

He knew Gwen must have left it but everytime he went to the kitchen she was always there. "She is more than likely on her way here now. I just sent Tweeters to tell both her and Lilura that it was ok to come back." Gabriel said walking into hearing Jakes question. "But why do you want to know?" He asked looking at both Jake and Asmodeus. He senses something, call it desperation

If the bod a child felt to their parent was remotely close to the one the parent felt to their child, he was sure that Gwen would always wish she could speak with Satine again. "Why would you think otherwise?" he asked.

Satine moved her gaze back to Asmodeus, hesitating before answering. "Because when she told me everything about Sonya and Anayah and I told her I was going to tell you and Madlen, she said she'd never speak to me again if I did."

"I have an incredibly hard time imagining her following through with that. She probably regretted it as soon as she said it," Asmodeus reassured her. He knew it hurt to hear those words but he imagined with a relationship as close as Gwen and Satine's had been it must have hurt a lot.

Satine looked down and gave a shrug. "I don't know, she cares a lot about the twins and she wouldn't want anything to ruin the trust they have for her. I'm sure you know, though, that being a parent sometimes means going against what your child believes is best."

"Indeed I do. I remember when we told the twins they could not go off on their own and that they were too young. They were both really upset about it," Asmodeus said. His girls had actually run away though. He had been incredibly angry at first at their disobedience and then after they had been gone for several days, he became worried beyond reason.

I never dreamed that you'd be mine
But here we are, we're here tonight.  Gabriel RadierăGabriel just kept quiet, shooting Asmodeus a look that screamed 'What the Hell?" written all over it. All Gabriel could see was Asmodeus's part of the conversation and didn't get it. The thought didn't cross his mind that Jake could let others see ghosts as well, so he kind of wondered if being with jake for to long, finally drove Asmodeus mad..... Jake also not saying anything but watching the exchange between Asmodeus and Satine, did pick up on Gabriels look. He actually found it funny since its rare to see other people get that look besides himself. He walked over between Gabriel and Satine and did the same thing to him that he did with Asmodeus. "No he's not actually crazy I can help others to see ghosts as well." Jake said before returning to where he was before. Gabriel jumped a bit to see Satine hovering not to far in front of him. He was certainly caught off gaurd....but not enough to say or do anything. And in the air the fireflies

Satine nodded, knowing how he felt, but on a much smaller level. "I wonder if Gwen knew they'd gone. . . If she did, I'm terribly sorry." Forgetting about her ghostly form once more, she tried to lean against the counter again. She disappeared from the kitchen, returning seconds later with a crude curse. Satine let out a gasp and clasped her hand over her mouth, her pale cheeks glowing in a ghostly blush. "I'm so sorry!"

Asmodeus was quite surprised to hear Satine knew such vile words. "Actually, speaking of Gwen, Gabriel, do you think they are close? I recommend escorting them here," Asmodeus said. He did not want Gwen and Lilura around the circus on their own if someone dangerous was out there. Lilura could heal herself up, but he still was not fond of the idea that she could be in danger or get distracted by being with Gwen. Super speed could only help if you knew something was happening. If an attacker were to sneak up behind them, or worse, was someone they knew well enough, then they would not be prepared.

But here we are, we're here tonight. Gabriel Radieră Gabriel let out a laugh at Satine's curse. He also didn't ever see her swear and found it funny. "Its fine. It's not like anyone in here cares if you say something like that." He told her before looking over at Asmodeus. Gabriel pulled his watch out from his pocket and looked at the time. "They should be since its been a while since I sent tweeters....and yeah that would probably be a good idea considering theres an unknown psychopath on the loose." Gabriel said returning his watch to his pocket and walking out of the kitchen to go find the girls. Jake being reminded from what Gabriel said, turned to Satine. "Satine, I know you can't remember who it was that killed you but do you remember anything about your murder? Even the tiniest thing might be useful." He asked her figuring it would be better to question her about it before Gwen came. And in the air the fireflies

Satine looked down in shame, she didn't like cursing in public, especially around people that had known her for so long. She looked up as Jake addressed her again. "Um. . .only that I hadn't seen the person in a long time. . . and it was male. . . I was here getting ready to clean."

"Gabriel and I aren't going in there, but we'll be in our tent if you need us. Good luck," she told Gwen with a hug. She hoped things with Satine would go well and that maybe seeing her mother one last time would help her begin to heal. She could actually say goodbye, something that so many people wished they could do. Once she had said what she needed to, she retreated back next to Gabriel, holding his hand. And in the air the fireflies

Jake Middels "So a guy that you haven't seen in a while?" Jake questioned her while trying to come up with a possible suspect in his mind. He wasn't sure since he really doesn't talk to or pay attention to most people other than Dema and Asmodeus. Though Asmodeus only because he has to. "Do you have any idea how long it had been since you saw that person? I know thats a hard question but if the person disappeared before four years ago, then I'm of no help to finding your killer." Jake said sadly. He has only been here at the circus for around four years now and wouldn't have a clue about people who were here before he was. Gwen was standing about a foot away from the door when Lilura caught up to her and hugged her. She turned and watched Lilura go back with Gabriel as he lead her back toward their tent. Good luck? With what?...... Gwen wondered to herself and began to ponder it for a moment while watching them. As soon as Lilura took Gabriel's hand he lead her off back to their tent. He was glad she chose not to go in as well. Hopefully Gwen will be alright on her own and without there help. "Today sure has been one hell of a damn day...." He said with a sigh as he opened up the tent flap to their tent and thinking about everything that happened with him today. He senses something, call it desperation
